O.M.G. what the heck???????????????????

that was NUTS!

what is causing the immediate zombification now?

It must be either airborn or in the water. I think that's why the CDC guy took a blood sample from everyone. I think he knew then that everyone was infected which is why he chose to blow to smitherines. I thought that was what he whispered to Rick....but that wouldn't make sense since he wasn't expecting Shane to get back up. So maybe he only whispered to Rick that Lori was pregnant...

Not sure. Didn't Rick and Shane just walk out of those woods???? Or am I turned around? If they did just walk out from there, how in the heck did they miss all those walkers?

Shane was definitely messed up in the head. Rick had no choice. He was definitely a great threat to the group!

Daryl and Glen were in the woods too and didn't see all of those walkers. I would assume that they were in a different area.

Wow, what an episode. I will miss Shane - Jon Bernthal is one heck of an actor.

I too will miss him on the show.

But, WOW, Carl is one heck of a shot. Guess Shane taught him well:thumbsup2

I thought the same, airborne or in the water...everyone alive must already be infected, so when they die, they turn into a zombie immediately. However, even when Amy was bitten, she didn't....

Remember when Shane mentioned the zombie cops had no bite marks? I wonder if that is related....

After Shane was killed, there were a few flashes of zombies. Was that supposed to be Shane seeing this or Rick or what? Nobody in my house can figure it out.

Oh, and I scared myself right after the episode. I took the trash to the curb and heard a noise across the street. I think someone else was dragging a trash bag. it did not take me long to get back inside..lol.

Well that was a doozie!!!! So incredibly spooky when they were out in the moonlight. And how about that herd from next week? YIKES!!!

Oh, it was so nice to see Shane go. He's needed to be gone since he killed Otis. Way to shoot, Carl!!!!

Why is Carl still walking around by himself? Dale was just attacked in the dark and here Carl is walking around in the dark.

It took them long enough to board up the windows and park the cars closer to the house.

Holy Crap! (said in "Frank's" voice from Everybody Loves Raymond) That episode was intense!

I cried so much throughout the show with all the stories back to Dale. And his funeral!

And that ending!!! I knew Shane was going to die, but I really thought Rick was too for a minute!

So sad there's only one episode left this season! When does the next one start?

I'm rewatching it again and I think Shane knew he was changing. Remember how he was hitting himself in the head when he was squatting in front of Randall? I think he was having flashes of Zombies or something. Maybe he got rid of Randall to protect the group. He went too far trying to kill Rick though.

Why would he take Rick back to the field near the house to kill him? He had lots of time to do it further from the rest of them.

I don't think I can wait another YEAR for the new season.

Seriously! Is no one watching this kid? Somebody needs parenting classes.

WOAH! So, you think it is a possibility they could turn BEFORE they die? Never thought of that. A few posts up I questioned who was seeing those zombie flashes when Shane died. It was obvious in the barn Shane was mentally struggling.

I've about decided that they are all carriers of this zombie plague. For some reason it seems to manifest only after they die for some.

I'm uncertain about the zombie flashes. I'm sure that the writers are hinting at something... But what?

Interesting thought. I still take it as more he was trying to psych himself up to take care of Randall. You know like smacking himself to get over feelings of guilt or remorse or morality that was keeping him from doing what he felt needed to be done.

I am unsure about the zombie flashes..was that foreshadowing for us viewers or meant to be or mean something more? My DH (who doesn't really watch) asked me why that was happening as well and I wasn't sure.

The Talking Dead just ended and I'm disapointed that they didn't talk about the zombie flashes.:confused3

Agreed.

I thought the zombie flashes might indicate that the zombies have some sort of hive mind connection, hence their proclivity for traveling in herds. Shane was making that hive connection with the flashes. Just a theory.

Would someone who has read the comic want to PM me with the storyline of Lori and the baby? I'm curious but I don't want to spoil it for anyone here. Thanks!
