The walking dead amc #2

I find myself getting less interested. I wonder if it has something to do with Gimple and how he ran the show. He seemed to liked to create huge cliffhangers, then slow things down to a crawl and time jump. All these things seem to do is anger and confuse the viewers.
::yes::

OMG.....the cars racing through city. At this point they should be out of gas and broken down. Ugh.

Also...new characters introduced. More weird talkers. Yup, the show is giving us viewers a big middle finger. Not watching much longer

Wow, just wow.
I'm really trying to find words for how much I disliked this episode. It was ridiculous.
Rick and Negan fighting for a whole episode?! The new people (and I can't stand those two bodyguards(?) wearing sunglasses). Jadis somehow finding Negan and getting him in the car...unconscious?
Ugh!

I thought it was good at the end when it was Jadis who actually has Negan, not Rick. Wonder if she will bring him to Rick in a show of good faith. I thought it was a good episode, I knew Negan wouldn't die, if he's going to die it will be in the finale so wasn't disappointed that he's still alive. I thought it was great Rick getting in his head, telling him he only has his bat and he only loves his bat, which he does. I have to think Lucille was his wife or daughter's name or perhaps maybe his son's bat. There is definitely someone he loved tied to that bat or the name of the bat. Looks like Simon might be worse than Negan, just wonder how this season will end with maybe 3 more episodes left.

I agree this new woman was really weird, not sure what that is all about but maybe once the war is over she'll fit in a little more to the show.

....
In the comics, Negan's wife's name was Lucille.
I am wondering if they are making Negan more "human" and Simon more "villain" so that when Negan kills Simon (or when Simon dies this season, which I think he will) that people will forget that Negan was the villain and embrace him being around for subsequent seasons.

Hmmm, maybe. Negan is certainly ticked at Simon for killing the garbage people. I wonder if Negan saves Rick from Simon, making way for a redemption for Negan. I don't know. I think too much has happened to forgive Negan, but if the show can get some good writers maybe it can be done.

Last night I watched both last weeks and this weeks episodes. Since I was multitasking I wasn't sure if I missed it or it wasn't addressed, but did Simon tell Negan what he did to Jadis's group? Or has it yet to be addressed? Also, did Enid tell Maggie and the rest about Aaron? And where's Ezekiel? Has the death of those Saviors been addressed either by Negan and crew?

Also, George and her friends. Articles that I'm reading speculate everything from a new character to blending of ones that they meet later on in the comics.

Negan finds out about the dead trash people from Rick shouting it during their “fight”.

Don’t remember Enid saying anything about Aaron. I presume she told them and it wasn’t even deemed significant enough for them to show us. Or I missed it while rolling my eyes.

Nothing on Ezekiel or those saviors.

Simon was supposed to only kill one trash person to send a message to the rest to fall in line. That is their standard operating procedure. He went ahead and killed them all. when Simon went back to Negan, he was asked if he had any trouble with the trash people and Simon replied, "Nope, went as we expected" or something like that. So Negan just found out what Simon did thanks to Rick.

I'm starting to think Mckennarose is onto something with them making Simon really slimy and mean to make Negan look not so bad. His character used to be more like Gregory, a slimy car salesman, but basically harmless.

I also wanted to talk a little more about the new character Georgie. She seems awfully put together, clean, has access to a lot of food and not afraid. She must be part of a community which also has some kind of power since she wanted records. you need power to play records. I wonder if wherever they are will be the next place our gang settles in.

Well, my guess would be that Jadis brings Negan to Hilltop in exchange for letting her stay. He's locked up somehow, not necessarily with the rest of his guys, but maybe. When Simon brings hell to Hilltop, Rick brings Negan out who tells his group to kill Simon. I doubt this will happen though. They are making Rick adamant on killing him so I doubt they would just lock him up unless they have Maggie or Michonne stop Rick from killing him. (Bc of what Carl said)
I thought last night's episode was better, but it was annoying how every time Rick had a clear shot, he was out of bullets.
So what will Dwight do?

There is more to the new character, but others here said they didn't want the comics brought up.

  • Car rolls over
  • Shot at with automatic weapon and hand gun
  • Falls two stories to the basement
  • Rick attack with a FLAMING Lucille
  • Wall to wall walkers — some on fire
Negan walks away. Shows up as snarky as ever and all in one piece with Jadis.

It got old a long time ago for me — and I kinda’ like Negan.

Rob Cesterino who does a podcast on this was saying do Rick and Negan have a pact like Charles Widmore and Ben Linus on Lost where they can't kill each other. I thought it was so funny because every time they fight no one ever gets hurt. I do feel the show feels very Lost like too in some of the things they do, but can't seem to capture what Lost did.

I do think in the end Rick will kill Negan, but I assume they want that for the season end instead of in the middle, which I get, but they shouldn't have Rick and Negan have fights where no one ever gets hurt and they end up in the same place where they started the episode.

I read another comment somewhere else reminding me that Negan crashed with a bucket of walker guts. I am sure he had to have received a cut or something in that tumble! Or it got in his eyes or mouth! By his logic, wouldn't he then get a fever & change?

Just finished reading the last 3 written chapters of the comics. Will put the comic storyline in spoiler quotes if anyone is interested...it is way off the rails from the show...don't know how, or even if, they will get the show back in line. At this point I don't think that's the plan.
So....the war with Negan ends with him in a jail at Alexandria. Rick is leader there. Maggie kills Gregory and becomes leader of Hilltop. I think Dwight was leader of Saviors and Zeke of the Kingdom. Michonne is in relationship with Zeke but can't handle it and runs off on fishing boat with some community that boats and fishes. All these communities work together and trade. It's building a new civilization with people working together in peace. Rick is in relationship with Andrea, now dead on show. Eugene is with Rosita. A new teen girl comes there, daughter of the new big bad named Alpha, leader of Whisperers. New girl and Carl are in relationship. They look to be the future. They grew up in the ZA and this life is normal to them and they can survive...ha ha, show ruined that. Alpha kills Rosita and Zeke and several others, putting their heads on spikes to make boarder. Boarder not to cross. Rick is pizzed. He uses Negan to help in war with Whisperers and eventually comes to some sort of terms with Negan and they work together. He then lets Negan go off to live on his own. In the war, though, Andrea gets bit and dies and Rick and Carl are devastated. Rick sleeps on her grave. Maggie finds out Negan is out and is not happy. She goes to kill him but also comes to some sort of terms with him. She then lays big kiss on guy that had been trying for a while to get with her and she had been refusing because of her love for Glen. Eugene, meanwhile, had fixed a radio and began conversing with lady in Ohio who is part of a group. They send out a team to meet this new group with thoughts of adding them to the network of communities. Oh, and some others, including Dwights old wife Sherry, were running the saviors community and were bad. Dwight had quit leading them and stayed at Alexandria. The saviors refused to help in the whisperer war. They had plan to wait until the communities were weakened and to go in and finish them and take over. When they came to do that, Rick killed Sherry while defending himself. Dwight was not pleased and starts to turn on Rick. Saviors go off with tails tucked but still anti-Rick.

I do think in the end Rick will kill Negan,
We were discussing this last night: Rick doesn’t deserve to be the one to kill Negan!! He’s failed SO MANY times! Give Maggie, Daryl or someone else the honors. At this point, I think Judith might have a better chance of killing him than Rick.

That, or Maggie can take Negan in at Hilltop and they can plant strawberry bushes together like Carl wanted. Eesh.

No this show doesn't even come close to LOST in storytelling, except for the first few seasons.
There is talk that the new character is from that group, but you never know anymore.
