The walking dead amc #2

Just an eh episode for me. I don't really care for rick and michonne together. I always got more of a family brother sister vs a romantic vibe from them.

I like the Jesus character.

I am not a huge fan of Rick and Michonne together. I just don't see it. I see them as really close friends, like brother sister. They respect each other and love each other, but not in THAT way, in my mind at least.

I did enjoy the banter with Rick and Daryl. Loved Daryl chasing Jesus around the field. I have not read the comics, but understand that Jesus is from the comics. Is he good or bad?

Spoiler about Jesus
Jesus is good in the comics.

Not a fan of Richonne either. It makes her too soft, having a love interest. Or showing them as romantic makes her soft. They could make them a couple but make them tough and hardcore.

Not a fan either of Rick and Michonne. They work better as friends I think. They have a special bond and I think if the relationship doesn't work out, that will be gone.
I loved the Jesus character and the way he and Darryl interacted. I don't know anything about his character (and won't read the spoilers) but if he sticks around I think him and Darryl would be funny together.

Yeah, I can't put my finger on it, but I feel like Rick and Michonne just don't work as lovers. They totally have each others back, depend on each other, respect each other and are as close as two people can be. But I think it should end there and I think they crossed a line that can't be uncrossed. Getting romantically involved kind of changes all that and I just don't see Michonne as "lovey dovey" but I see Rick as needing a lot of support and comfort from his romantic partner. I don't think that is Michonne. I could totally see him with Jessie.

I love when Daryl said to Denise, "yeah that thing didn't work out....thanks to this a######." Then when Jesus pulled the gun and told Daryl to duck before he shot the walker, Daryl was like, "thanks" then punched him right in the face. I was dying! I also think they could be funny together.

If you watched talking dead last night and saw the older movie they watched in order to prepare for the portion of what has been mentioned in that chase scene, it all makes sense

One thing that took me out of reality was Andrea-zombie being out in the woods. That doesn't make any sense. She was in a room, in a house, in the town, which only had one big breach to get in. Given that zombies are attracted by noise/light, and the herd that was swarming IN to the town, how in the world would she have managed to get through the herd and outside into the woods when every other zombie was flowing in? I thought it would have been far more likely she would have been lying in the town street with the dozens of other zombies that were taken out.

Yes! Also, she was still alive when the zombies came flowing in to her bedroom and she started shooting. How many could she have taken out with that small gun? I was thinking that eventually they got to her, but she looked pretty "clean" walking around in those woods.

We thought the same thing. Face still intact. Guts still intact.

I thought the whole thing with Rick, Daryl, & Jesus was fun. I do want Jesus to stick around. I enjoyed watching the series of events with those 3.
I did NOT like the Rick/Michonne hook up. Both DH & I said it was weird & awkward to watch. We felt they were more like brother & sister too.
Deanna should have been more chewed up than she was.

Well, we all seem to not like Rick and Michonne together! LOL! They kept saying on TD that everyone was waiting for this hook up and everyone wanted them together and the fans support this etc. I guess it happened in the comics so maybe the comic readers wanted this to happen?

Not feeling the Rick and Michonne thing but I saw it coming...

My goodness why did they have to mess around with Jesus in the field...just knock him off the truck and get out of there, they lost all that food!!! ANd Rick better to learn to try knots better if he was able to get on the roof and then into his room

DH was so irritated by how they played that scene in the field that he got up and left the room. He wouldn't watch any more after the truck went into the water. Why were they chasing Jesus around instead of just leaving him there? Why back up the truck to the edge of the water, etc? DH was just done with the episode after that because he thought the whole scene was too stupid :confused3 Now me, I actually like the interaction between Jesus and Daryl. But then I knew that Jesus was supposed to be introduced in the show soon too so I knew that he had to end up going back with them somehow.

I'm not feeling the Rick/Michonne thing either but they were already family (based on relationships with the kids/living situation). So I guess it doesn't surprise me at all. I just think it was too soon after Jessie's death (wasn't Rick just pining for Jessie??).

For anyone that didn't watch Talking Dead, Danai Gurira (Michonne) was one of the guests last night and she said it had been 2 months for the characters.

Nathan Fillion was a guest as was Austin Nichols (Spencer). Yvette Nicole Brown was the audience member that got to come up and ask a question. I wish she could be on more, she's hysterical!

I loved when Chris Hardwick said to Yvette, "You and I are the Rick and Michonne of Talking Dead." Cracked me up.

I thought the episode was bad, possibly one of the worst so far. I had a feeling after the ludicrous episode of Glenn escaping the dumpster they would be using more ridiculous, convoluted story lines and they sure didn't disappoint. How in the world would they not have just driven both the truck filled with food AND the car back-what, did one of their driver's licenses expire? Wouldn't the first, most important order of business be getting the food back to Alexandria, rather than chasing some stranger down in a field, you know especially since they have been looking for weeks with no success and find a huge supply conveniently already loaded in a truck that conveniently starts on the first try??? I'd also love an explanation into how Jesus (maybe his name should be Houdini) managed to get out of those ropes and onto the top of the truck in less than 60 seconds. Did Rick and Daryl suddenly abandon all of the intelligence and survival instincts that got them where they are now?

Lazy writing and directing all around. I think the show jumped the shark with the Glenn escape and the lame way they tricked everyone and has now continued in the downward spiral, last week's episode aside, which was probably one of the best ever.

I don't think the show has jumped the shark at all. I think it has been pretty common for them to have an episode like this after episodes like last week's. Could they have handled the truck piece better, probably but I don't get to caught up in one of two things that are hard to believe. It is a show about zombies after all.

I like even my zombie shows to be plausible. No matter how unbelievable the premise, the show should not have all of these cop-out plot lines, IMO.

OMG, LOL. I know, right. DH and I said the same thing when they were talking about taking the truck to Alexandria and then bringing another car to get the first car. Seriously?? Why wouldn't you just take both the car and truck now. There are two of you. We knew that Jesus was going to end up on or in the truck too because they had that long pause where Rick and Daryl just sat in the cab before starting it up. They had to do something to allow him time to get free and get on the truck, but is was so obvious that it was stupid.

Why back up the truck to the edge of the water, etc?

When Jesus and Darryl were fighting inside the cab of the truck, one of them hit the shifter so it inadvertently went into reverse. I do think Rick and Darryl looked like rookies with Jesus though. From letting him steal the truck the first time to them chasing him around the field. And just how did Jesus get on the roof so quickly and then manage to stay on the roof. Too much suspension of disbelief.

As far as Rick and Michonne, it will be interesting to see how this plays out as it's not in the comics. I like them both but not sure how I feel about them as a couple yet either.
