The walking dead amc #2

I thought cancer coughing lady was in the room when she started hyperventilating and was making fun of her???.....
Just rewatched this part and no, it was just Carol and Maggie in the room when Carol started hyperventilating.

Maggie had been trying to cut her tape, Carol had just stuffed rosary in her pocket, they heard a noise outside the door but Carol looked absolutely panicked then started hyperventilating.

Maggie looked at her all confused but Carol just got worse, then the 3 entered the room.

It went on a bit longer before Maggie got their attention, and they took her gag off to hear what she was saying then smoker lady went over to Carol remarking about nervous little bird, yoga breaths, etc.and took her gag off.

Just really bizarre behaviour out of Carol and why on earth did she mention Maggie's baby?! What a bargaining chip for the Saviours!

I don't believe Carol "cracked" at all. I believe she was doing it to put the Saviors off from what she was really capable of. It came on too fast and too easily. Maggie saw it. You can see the recognition before she starts demanding they take Carol's gag out.

They talked a little about it on TD, since Carol was the guest. She said that Carol did go through "something" while there. They said that she saw herself in Paula (the red head lady) and was afraid she would become her i.e. a heartless, uncaring person who was once a loving mother. All the killing Carol has done has kind of caught up with her and she is feeling guilt/remorse and wondering if they crossed a line.

Before watching TD, I thought Carol was totally faking so that her captures would underestimate her, then she would strike.

She definitely wasn't faking, but I think she was still being smart to keep her and especially Maggie alive. She made that list and was acting off the last episode too. It is just hard to reconcile weak Carol and the Carol who put a bullet in the wolf just a couple of episodes ago. I'm sure IRL it would be normal to go through that, but on tv it was hard for me to watch/believe so quickly. I felt the same way about Farmer Rick at the prison several seasons ago and hated that too. I just think it is hard to make a transition like that feel genuine in a few episodes, but the writers don't want to waste a whole season with one of their bad a$$ leaders being soft so they do it this way.

I think that was a matter of recognizing her audience - three of their four captors were adult women, so there was a very good chance that one or more were mothers or lost children and would have a soft spot for a child where they wouldn't think twice about hurting an adult.

I thought it was obvious to the viewers (and to Maggie) that Carol was faking the panic attack from the very start in order to get the gag off and get a dialogue going so they would have a chance of manipulating the situation. Even after watching TD, I didn't take what she said as indicating it was anything other than a fake attack. After they removed the gag, when she was "bonding" with Paula to try to humanize herself as a person and not a captive, you could see that it sort of backfired and she started to see Paula as a person too. I think Carol is starting to crack a bit starting with the destruction of the small period of peace they had found in Alexandria. It was very well acted by both of the TWD regulars.

Well Carol has definitely cracked and now will most likely be the cause of a lot more deaths :(

Was another ok episode. Glad Daryl has his crossbow back, but also think it is a bad omen for him. I didn't see that arrow coming, I knew something bad was about to happen but that made me jump. I have a bad feeling that the show is going to change drastically with the season finale and I have a bad feeling about it.

The arrow really shocked me, didn't see it coming and even though that character is nobody special (to me) I was almost in tears. It was so upsetting. So, good job producers.

I too think Carol just screwed everyone. If I were them I'd just let her go.

I had a feeling someone was going die tonight, but I thought maybe it would be Rosita. Denise kept wandering off, and I kept getting nervous. It was pretty obvious to me that one of them would die.

I am watching TD, and Rosita seems a little melancholy. I have a feeling she will die soon. She just seems like she is spacing out, not paying attention, looking sad etc. It reminds me of when Andrea was on TD and kept getting weepy and sad. She was killed of a couple of weeks later, but couldn't talk about it on TD.

On The Talking Dead they mentioned that Norman Reedus will be on the finale episode. That makes me nervous for Daryl.

I agree about Carol. Even letting her go doesn't solve anything - once she falls into Negan's hands, and she will since she's out there on her own, she's leverage against the whole group. None of Rick's people would be able to stand by and watch her die, especially not Daryl. And I hate to say this but...
what Carol just did makes me worry that the rumors about it being Daryl, not Glenn, who is headed towards a meeting with Lucille might be true. Because Daryl would certainly do for Carol exactly what Glenn did when it was Maggie in danger in the comic.

But OMG, Eugene. We were dying over here watching that scene. It was brutal and cringe-worthy and hilarious all at the same time!

My brain is fried. I'm not sure what to think about Carol leaving.

If her leaving gets Daryl killed, I'm going to be so mad!

Spoiler alert. Highlight between the arrows to see what I have said >>> I'm pissed about Denise. I really did love her character. She was easily one of my favorites. She brought sanity and compassion to a show that has none of it most of the time. She was, in my opinion, the breath of fresh air that has been missing from the show for a long time. <<<

I'm sad about what happened tonight too. It was an interesting situation though since two people were basically going through the same thing.

Carol has disappeared before. I figure that she'll either cause them a lot of trouble or come back as the conquering hero. I think that it might be Morgan that gets involved too. He spent a lot of time staring at the swing which made me wonder...
