How is the Big Guy? OK I hope. When is he comming back? Tell him to be careful and if you two and the lit' guy want to come over here to be safe because you know we will have Lots O' Power, you are more than welcome. Glad the camper did not sustain any damage. But who gets to cut all that fire wood up? That is a job and a half.

Did you guys get a dining plan? If Not, you might want to rethink about a season pass. I think you can upgrade your ticket for a pass and than you get discounts off foods at most restarants and discounts on diffeerent tours, shopping and such. Check on line about the discount and benafits and then call someone at WDW and talk to them about it. I do not want to poke my nose in your family vacation bisness, just trying to make sure you guys get the best for your $$$$

I have our days planned out for Radar and I. The first thing we will do is go to DTD and get our FL Seasonal Passes and shop for our name badges. Somewhere there is a shop that sells oval name tags that look like the ones the CM wear. We each want one, and I am sure that they will not have "Radar" so we will have it engraved at Disneys days of Christmas shop.
Then we will check in to our CBR and explore it and spend the rest of the day doing who knows. I do not care. Free time, maybe swim, maybe go to a park, maybe ride the water mice. We shall see.

The next day, my B-Day, we will go to guest relalatios to get a birthday pin for me and spend the AM at MK. We will go backto our room rest swim play etc and go to epcot in the later afternoon and have dinner at biergarten and then watch the illumnation.. Will be a good day.

On Wed, we will go to AK ,Boardwalk, or some other place we have not seen, and HS. And Thur, our last day we will finish up by packing up and going where ever the mood taks us. Because we have been there lots of times befor we do not have to do the kid stuff. So that is our vacation with lots of park hopping and lots of walking and lots of eoom to do what we want when the mood suits us.

We will be driving home on thursday afternoon and I hope the weather is reasonable. I bought 4 ponchos a Wally world just in case.

Someone is getting buzzed isn't she? I think maybe I'll get buzzed tomorrow night. My BFF from high school and where I grew up is coming over tomrrow and staying all night and then will hang out a while sunday before she drives home, she lives on the Gulf Coast, south of us. Now that I am in FL it's awesome that I can see her again!!!

Hi Dissibell!!! that is an awesome idea to trade in our tickets for season passes.We already spent that money and its probably about the same price as the season passes. What number did you call to talk to someone about that? We won't get our tickets until we check in at the campground. We're checking in on the 6th and the kids are checking in on the 7th so we wont' get our tickets till the 7th as we didn't add the 6th on. So when they get here, I'm going to drag Sharky over to DTD to trade my tickets in. I guess I need to drag the big guy too huh? He's going to have to be there as well since the other seasonal pass is for him.

Speaking of the big guy, he's fine, he drove straight through and got there last night. He cleaned up the entire yard today except for the tree. He picked up all the big stuff and drug it out front as CLECO cut the trees around the power lines so they left the brush there in the ditches so he put our stuff there as well, lol. Then he used the tractor to mulch up all the small stuff and by the time he got done it didn't look there had ever been a storm. The big tree is staying where it is at, he said his back is sore and he can't do any more. He is going to let it lay there till Dec when we go back as it is back in the back and no one can see it anyway. That way the leaves will be dead by then and it will be easier to cut up for firewood. As far as the Cypress knees, I'm not sure he's going to be able to get to that before he comes back. He said he'll try though.

I love your itinerery. It sounds great,you have wonderful plans. I think you go to that store I took you in at DTD, all things Disney, and that is where you get your oval name pins. You are right I seriously doubt that Radar will be on a pin, so you'll have to get that engraved there.

We didn't get the dining plan since we're camping but it will be nice to get the discount on the one ADR that we did make, I forget where we're eating, that is Sharky's department, lol. Then one night we are eating outside of the park somewhere on 192 and then the rest we are eating at the camper.

I saw some cute Mickey ponchos at Wally World, I'll probably get us some before we go as they'll be a fortune inside the park.

Thanks for the invite, you know we'll be there is we get hit by Ike. I sure do know where there will be lots of power, lol. Probably could bring my car and fill up on the gas. YOu also know you have a place here should you have to evacuate. I know you won't have to leave for lack of power or food, lol, I could do my grocery shopping at your house!

Liked we discussed, because you spent more on 8 day park hopper passes than FL seasonal passes, do not think they will allow you to switch

However, FL annual pass is only 78 dollars more, so I think you can do that

You just have to take this qtip swab that has medicine on it and just swipe inside of both nostrils, I know gross, but it works. It prevents from whatever you have coming out any more and makes you all better

We're actually considering post poning our trip if Ike is going to be going through florida. I don't want to be there during a catagor 4 hurricane.

Hurricane Ike rapidly gained strength on Thursday in the central Atlantic Basin but overnight and early this morning it has lost some intensity. As of 11 a.m. ET, Ike was located 550 miles east-northeast of the Grand Turk Island.

Ike is dealing with persistent northerly wind shear which has taken a bite out of the hurricane. Maximum sustained winds near the center are down to 115 mph, but still it remains a powerful and dangerous Category 3 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale.

Hurricane Ike is currently moving west-southwest at 15 mph. It will then turn back to the west on Sunday. Ike will remain a major hurricane as it moves westward.

Ike is a marine hazard at this point but it will threaten the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos by Sunday morning. Residents and tourists should take Ike very seriously. Preparations should be in progress for the arrival of what very well could be a major hurricane as it passes through the islands.

A hurricane watch has been issued for the southeastern Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos.

After passing through the Bahamas, model guidance forecasts are indicating a turn by Ike toward the west-northwest. This will bring Hurricane Ike close to the northern coast of Cuba, the Florida Straits, and south Florida by Tuesday. Residents and tourists alike should pay close attention to the progress and forecast track of Ike. This is a very dangerous and potentially deadly hurricane and bears close watching.

I have some names for Ike, but I'd likely get points for using them here.

Well DH went home to Louisiana to check the house and camper. Luckily everything was fine, just a mess. Here's some pictures of what he found!

Here's another one of that part of the yard with the camper. You can see the big branch laying there. That is the one that was on the camper that our neighbors told us about. Luckily it didn't do any damage!!

The previous owner, for some reason, grafted a pecan tree and a hickory tree together. The end result was this tree that didn't survive the storm. It missed the barn, the shed, the house, my clothesline and the little play area that was already there.

Here are the last few. We feel very blessed that all we had was the mess, no damages when so many others weren't as lucky.
