We're having a cool spell (only mid 80s) here and I'm loving it!!

Sorry if you said this already but did any of you catch the 4 x 100 men's swimming last night? Wow!!! I'm not really into swimming but this was also to behold...esp the way the French trash-talked.

I know, it's probably pointless to even try at this point since I have a whole week worth of stuff to catch up on still plus going back and re-reading everything I just skimmed over the weekend. **sigh**

Quilt retreat was great. Fun but a little too long. This was the first time they did one for 7 days like that...normally it's only 5 days which I think that'd be plenty. I was exhausted when I got home but it was great. I'll try and post some pictures tonight. I hope my internet is running a bit faster tonight.

I'm not sure I'll shoot her a txt and see if I get a response.

Can't wait to see pics! Did you get a lot done?

Last I heard she was in the hospital for her blood pressure. Kinda worried.

That was so awesome Marshay! I really didn't think we were going to win (I say WE like I was swimming! ) and then he pulled ahead right at the last second! I'm glad I stayed up to watch!

Now I've got to go and catch up a bit...... I've been dealing with a lovely (NOT) stomach virus since Friday. So don't sit too close to the monitor ~ I might still be contagious!

I do not know but it sucks big time. Tom had an upset stomach last week but we thought it was just stress. But then Evan had it and now me. Not fun.

good morning Marshay....glad youi are having a nice cool(er) day. Not sure what the temp is here...haven't been outside since this morning but it was cool this morning. Was nice.

Didn't see the swimming. I'm never into the olympics much.

Wow mid 80's ! I can't wait for fall. It's raining here now but lately it's been soooo hot. I missed the swimming last night.

Yeah actually I did. I quilted some on one of the ladies quilts that she brought. I also quilted some on Chris' quilt. And I appliquéd (it's where you cut out a bunch of pieces of fabric into shapes and then stitch them by hand onto a background fabric to make a picture) a straddling snow man...he's SO cute. I also started appliquéing another snow man...in this quilt there's gonna be 12 all together. One for each month. I made a purse (which I'm currently making another one for my MIL for her birthday on Wednesday). I also made a smaller "cell phone" purse. You can carry around your cell and credit cards and such in it. Figured it'd come in handy for WDW next month. And I made a few other things. And I also acquired a few other projects to start on. One is appliqué pumpkins...going to be SO cute!! I don't have many pictures on my camera but one lady took pictures of everything and she's putting all of the pictures onto a CD for me so I'll share what I have for now and share the rest when I get the CD.

Nikki txtd me back and said she is okay. She'll be making a post elsewhere soon if she hasn't already.

Ah so you knew what appliquéing was. Sorry I explained it...not everyone does know what it is I wish you all lived closer too. We'd have such a cool quilt guild with all of us. Appliquing is so much fun. I think I enjoy doing that most of all really.
