Ok I am totally geographically challenged as you can see. Crud :headache:

I just heard that San Francisco is one of America's most beautiful cities and if you have the opportunity to see it. So San Francisco is 400 miles from Disney Land ? and you are 45 miles from San Francisco ? I thought you were closer to Disney Land. Oh well.

I like where I am I just wish Disneyland was closer to me. But you know if you are coming to California I think San Francisco is a must see. Also while in Southern California, Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills is a must. I never considered myself at all trendy but I fell in love with Rodeo Drive in 2006. I was so awestruck I just looked at everything and never took a picture. This year there will be pictures. I will drive and Scotty can be in cahrge of the camera.

Well if we come in November 2013, I don't think we will be able to stay long enough to do both. We don't have "Jersey week" but we have Mardi Gras. I was hoping they were closer together to maybe catch both. Bummer. I guess first (out of curiousity) I will check flights. No telling what they might cost in 2013

Hey I have an idea. How about after my Disneyland trip I plan a day trip to San Francisco and really hit the tourist stops like Fishermans Wharf and Lombard Drive and take tons of pictures and post them?

Today was DD's first day of 3RD GRADE (I feel so old and she is officially 7 going on 32)

How sweet. My youngest DD Kody was 7 going on 32 too. You have my sympathy and my good wishes. As Monk says it's a blessing and a curse. Now she is 14 going on "oh my if I live through her teenage years I will be amazed."

Awesome idea! I love seeing all the pics. Makes it like a minivacation for me. I am trying to remember where we sailed out of for our cruise on our honeymoon. We sailed to Catalina and Ensenada. Then flew to Arizona. But I can't remember what California city we sailed out of. We weren't there long (maybe a day) but went to some little whole in the wall bar with vintage booth seats and I remember taking video of DH picking out a dungenous crab (so not spelled right) at a seafood place.

Ok so tell me. She is not really mature beyond her years. She still has a wild imagination and is actually younger acting than other kids her age. But she has this way of looking at you and saying something that just implies that you are SO DUMB. She doesn't actually say it but....just give off that vibe. I call her on it frequently, and the other day my sister mentioned it and I said so I am not the only one. She said yeah .... good luck with that. :lmao:

I'm guessing Santa Barbara as the city you sailed out of. The coastline is so pretty down in that area. I love the whole coastline and I must admit I am partial to the northern coast. It is more stark and not so mucha swimming area. I am hoping to do a camping trip near the coast in October.

Oh my that is so Kody. She always had the baby dolls even at 10 and 11 years old but she has always been so old in other ways. And it is like I told my DH Scotty she is smarter than the rest of us and always has been. I just make darn sure I never let her see me sweat. I joke that some day she is going to rule the world only I am not really joking.:rotfl:

Oh my God ! That is so funny! The other day I was saying something and she was argueing with me and then she said You must be imagining things. I gave her the evil mom glare

and said What did you just say to me? She immediately burst into to tears and said I'm sorry --it just slipped out. Too funny --- I was surprised she even thought it. Of course, I had to prove to her she was wrong -- and she was. Sigh.

We didn't really get to see much of California. It was a 2 week honeymoon. 4 day cruise then flew to Arizona did Sedona, Route 66 etc. Back when there was youth, no kids and plenty of money :lmao:

We flew into California 4 hours after our very drunken reception and had a crazy cab drive to the hotel. I swear that cab driver took one look at our green faces and delighted in short stops and jack rabbit starts.

Kody will fire off things and immediately regret it. For being the more argumentative of my kids she can be the most lovable one too.
