So I've basically been planning a trip to WDW off and on for 5-6 years. I never thought I'd get my DH to agree to go, but he has relented and we are booked or January 2014. I have the package booked (will be paid for on Thursday), our ADRs are booked, I have a plan of which park we will do each day (based on crowd calendars), ordered custom maps, marked my favorites for each park, and have a basic touring plan. Now all I have left to do is wait...and it's killing me! I don't think there is any other aspect of the trip I can plan right now, and I'm a planner. I have 5 1/2 months until we leave. How do you guys pass the time?!?

I know a lot of people will post good ideas for you but one thing I would do is make a packing list of everything you will need for your trip. Include everything you can think of like how many pairs of pants and tops, shoes, etc., travel documents, rain ponchos, even list out each and every toiletry. For example, I always like to take nail clippers and a nail file because if I get a hangnail or a snag in my nail it will drive me crazy. It's little stuff I know but if you list it as you think of it you will be totally prepared and not need to buy anything on property (which is pricey!). I even bring band aids and cough drops. The other thing is start a countdown. Either in weeks or days. Probably counting down in weeks right now will be better than days. Once you get to about 90 days out counting in days feels less long.
). The problem with the packing list is we're going in January so I won't really know what clothes to pack until a week out since I've heard that the weather can be rather unpredictable, but good call on the small detail items.
