I don't know if anyone has posted this, but I just wanted to share.

Taken from here.

The upscale The Vineyard Room at the Golden Vine Winery — which was once sponsored by Robert Mondavi — will close Aug. 31, Disneyland spokeswoman Betsy Sanchez told The Register in an email statement.

You can also check out the story here.

I'm sure this will be on Al Lutz's update soon..

aww thats too bad...I liked the vineyard room but lets face it....it wasnt a very smart and practical choice for disney because they decided to have it in an open air bldg and only open on weekends...so if you went in the winter you froze and if you went during the summer you burned up....I just wish they had put it in a regular bldg...and the author of that article obviously didnt go eat there because nobody went there and ate for $30 pp unless of course all they got was a couple of salads:confused3

I'm really disappointed to hear that - Vineyard Room was my favorite table service restaurant at the Disneyland Resort. Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to get up there for one last meal before they close. :-(

I enjoyed the Vineyard Room, but it just wasn't practical. It was so expensive. I almost alwats end up sitting on the patio at the Tratoria, where I can get the same view for much less money!

There was a time when we were eating there every Saturday; it had nothing to do with the view. The 3- or 4-course meal, when that was the offering, was quite good; the wine pairings were very nice. It was not that expensive. We made great friends with the previous chef, Chad; Gloria Tae did a wonderful job when she replaced him and she will now be an asset to Napa Rose; the wait staff is/was wonderful; the management has always treated us wonderfully.

We will miss it terribly. If they keep it as an upscale eatery I do hope they do NOT enclose it. If they decide to go in the same direction as the trattoria, I hope they work that menu a bit more.

We're having our last meal there this coming Saturday evening as we'll be out of town their closing weekend.

We booked our meal for their closing day. I'm glad to hear the chef is going to the Napa to replace Chef Jeffrey. I just heard he had left, I used to hang our with him at the counter during the long forgotten days of Napa Sunday Brunch!

From Al Lutz's pervious article, the Vineyard room is suppose to be the new DCA expansion project room showing the new DCA in 2012.

I thought I read that the preview room was going to be in Seasons of the Vine theater that's next door?

Never did see the Seasons of the Vine show. When I went to check it out on the Yesterdayland website to review the attraction, I found documentation for it becoming the preview center. http://yesterland.com/seasons.html

Can't remember where, but another article had photos of them doing construction in there to get ready for it.

Wouldn't make much sense to put it all the way upstairs, when they have that theater right there.
