I actually appreciated it more for VDH than VGC. Even though last Halloween I went from my VGC room to inside the park in under 2 minutes. It was amazing so amazing I almost cried with joy that I was a new owner.

Letting Pixar Place use the VGC entrance…. that entrance is already ridiculously crowded in the morning.

Way to downgrade the entire Grand Cal resort….

Yeah, loosing that entrance and exit is a MASSIVE blow to both DVC resorts.

So I just learned in another thread that I guess the entrance has to go away for the Coco ride. Im glad it's going away for at least a good reason.

Ha! I just so happened to cancel my DL stay next year last night in favor of Dw. Was considering borrowing for DL and going longer but nope! Will wait this out until new management comes to its senses. Terrible! Maybe they are trying to flush deluxe owners. Maybe they are overloaded in the morning with VDH?- wait what- it's not popular???

I’m guilty of pretty much never using EE. Only time is for May the 4th to get first in line for rope drop to purchase whatever is in limited release at Dok-Ondar’s. I’m one of those that stays at DL till 1am. I prefer to sleep in a bit

Geez louise. Someone pointed out that the entrance cant be going away for Coco due to its location vs Coco ride... so im back to being mad about it.

Edit to add that comment and the comment has some other info on possibility of why EE is going away

At least the closing of the PP entrance is for the Coco ride. I mean, getting a new ride out of it is at least a decent trade.

This statement doesn't make sense to me. The PP entrance is adjacent to Seaside Souvenirs and across from the Golden Zephyr. My understanding is the Coco attraction is supposed to be situated behind the TSM attraction where some buildings exist that are used for parades or storage (?) and that the entrance to the Coco attraction would adjacent to Boardwalk Pizza.

If they are removing the PP entrance for the Coco attraction then TWDC would need to be...

It’s going to make a miserable morning experience…. Cash guests are going to be pissed… definitely not worth $330 a point direct for gross old shower heads, no early entry, and extremely crowded and slow security lines into both downtown Disney and DCA….

Coco is behind Inside Out/ Incredicoaster…. Nowhere near that entrance….

I thought it was next to/behind Paradise Garden Grill so thats why my mind was like this is plausible, but reading the other post I see why it's not.

When staying cash pre 2020 I remember having to prove I was a guest there to use the entrances

Early Entry using the DCA side entrance from VGC…. it was truly magical….

Security guards would ask to see Grand Cal room keys or dining reservations….depending on how much they want to enforce it…
