I suppose in California the climate may be a little friendlier towards us which is unfortunate. Im sure they will one day! I also thought about trying to time a stay at vgc! The food is really good too, we had dinner at plaza inn and they made the chicken a honey chicken and it was one of the best chicken I've ever had! I go every year just to support it and ofc because its really fun! I also met Gavin newsom there and frankie grande. Def keep your eye out for random celebrity spotting!
I hear you on the friendliness. Glad you go often to support. It hasn't sold out yet this year, surprising for a Disney event!

My wife swore the Murphy bed was bigger. Personally that main queen bed was pure bliss to me, so comfortable. Vgc is really growing on me, I need more points 🤣🤣
Does the bed in the studio seem small? Just stayed in 1509 and the bed felt very small, like a double. Anyone know if this is the case? TIAy that bed was pure bliss to me, so comfortable
 
Sorry, I don't want to rehash the refurb stuff but:

I also received a call from a DVC representative about my letter. She wanted to discuss my points, which we did, and I reiterated that I am really disappointed that this should have been a hard-goods refurb and that I feel like the Florida dvcs were given better amenities than the VGC had gotten. I specified certain items (bigger tv, more usb outlets, combo coffee pot, make up mirror, rainfall shower heads, etc.) and said that while the other dvc properties may not have all of these amenities, they all had some of them and the VGC had none of them. I pointed out that this is their flagship resort in CA and that even the non-dvc side of the resort was given more amenities than this refurb provided the dvc side.

I stressed that my main gripe was that the bathrooms had not been touched and that things like new grout, shower heads, etc was the least that they could provide from a cleanliness standpoint.

I was just getting off the bus at AK when she called, so I hope I stated my points convincingly, but she seemed very sympathetic and agreed with the points that I was making. I also stressed that I belong to a number of forum and facebook groups and that this is being discussed heavily and many are disappointed to the extent of the refurb.
She said that she will be passing my letter and all the notes that she was taking on up the ladder, but we will see. It may have just been talk, but she was very nice and hopefully someone in charge will start to listen to the negative feedback that they are getting.
 
They also called me about my concerns with member services after reading the chat conversations i sent them, apologized and validated my concerns, and said that the higher ups have been notified.

It was a different phone number specifically for member services issues if anyone needs it. Nice to know they at least care enough to call us and speak about it.
