The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 3.0

Swapping digits? 4*31=124

But that is enough for 5 nights S-TH low season 155 points. Sometimes we just have to make sacrifices... 😉

Right now our plan is to alternate between studio and 1-bedroom, as points allow...by banking/borrowing. When we stay in a studio, it's always been under 160 points so we bank forward. We'd rather sacrifice on room type for now instead of going less days.

Decided to go to Anaheim instead of Orlando in Sept/Oct to check out Halloween in DLR. Many good points on the humidity factor. What are the chances that the room refurbishments will be done by then?

Better grab the nights now. Both months are pretty sparse already

As far as I know, they haven't even started the refurb so it's anybody's guess at this point.

Hmm...I would hope so. This is my first time I'll be experiencing a refurb so maybe someone who's been around for one before will chime in on that.

General question for the group. If you've ever booked a hearing accessible studio, what does it show up as on the actual Disneyland site? On the DVC site the reservation shows as an Deluxe Studio - Hearing accessible, etc, but on Disneyland.com it shows as just Deluxe Studio.

The reservation itself on the DVC site has some issue with it as I can't add guests (get the dwarfs) but DVC is able to add guests, and if I wanted to change to a different room I can't. Even trying to pretend and switch it to VDH There is an error that pops up.

MS has assured me all is fine with the reservation, it just seems odd the DVC and DL sites don't match up on the room type.

Have you tried on a different device? My phone usually is ok but on a computer I have to do incognito sessions with the DVC website or I get all kinds of errors. Clearing cookies etc doesn't matter. If you get coding shown on the site just refresh and eventually it should work.
We just were in a hearing accessible 2BR but I don't recall what it showed on the DL website. DL doesn't coordinate quite the same way that My Disney Experience does though so I wouldn't be too concerned about that.

Yep, tried the phone, computer, etc. MS couldn't even adjust the points (was trying to re-allocate 4 pts). They said that the next level up could "fix" the reservation but when I called I was standing in Hollywood Studios and he said it would be a 1 to 2 hour wait.

The interesting thing was that he was able to add my wife to the reservation with no issue, whereas I couldn't even do that. So, since we were both on the reservation and I was able to add it to the DL site I decided to just be good with it.

My theory is that somehow the database record is marked as read only so no changes can be made to it.

A few years ago there was almost always a glitch with VGC reservations that caused modification issues. Searching my brain and what I'm thinking it was is it would just lose the email or some other information from the person (on the DVC website). Can you check that all the required fields are filled?

It looks correct on the page that displayed after you click "View or Modify Details" from the dashboard. If I then click "Modify" next to Guest Information I get the dwarves.
