The various resort versions of Tonga Toast?

DH and I love the Tonga Toast At Kona Cafe(we split this and an eggs benedict plate). We have a couple of trips planned for the family in the next few months. One is at CBR and the other at AKL. I see that OPR at CBR and Room Service at AKL both offer something that sounds similiar to Tonga Toast. Has anyone had either of these versions, and how do they compare to the "real thing" at Kona? Thanks for any insight.

I want to know the same thing!!!! My sister LOVES the Tonga Toast and I told her that they have the same thing at AKL... I just hope it's the same

Wonderlandmom, we've never had 'tonga toast', but we are for the first time when we stay at Poly in November!

I was disappointed when I wasn't able to get Cindy's breakfast because I look forward to the cinnamon cheese danish that is out of this world. (no pun intended!) The CM at PS reservations suggested it, so I'm excited!

If you're ever able to get Cindy's breakfast (maybe you have already before), try the cheese danish. WDW even sent me the recipe on request but I still can't do it as good as they can!

I have had both, the Tonga Toast at Kona's and POR's version of it (not sure what they call it), and I love both of them. Last trip, I had it at both places. Although we have quite a few of our breakfasts in, two places that are a must for us are Kona's and POR because I love their version of the Tonga Toast. Oh, I can't wait to get there. Maybe I'll see you there Tinkerbelle 739. I'll be the one with the big smile on my face.

I actually prefer Boatwright's version of the Tonga Toast because of the strawberry sauce that it's topped with.

Thanks for the replies. I wonder if CBR's and AKL are like POR's or Kona's? I think they may all vary a little, but not sure.
Mickeyhugger, you are in for a treat at Kona! DH and I usually split one and a Egg's benedict plate as I like to "balance" the sweetness.
Yes, we have done Cinderella's before and it was a treat! A highlight for DD. You know, I honestly don't even remember the food that well as we were absorbing the kids delight at being there.
