Has anyone read the books by L. J. Smith? Are they any good?

I've read them and I liked them but doesn't mean others will. I read them several months ago. But keep in mind I also liked the Twilight series, the Blue Blood series, and the Vampire Academy series. I'm going through this faze of reading books with supernautrals so I'm partial.

We just provided service for the Vampire Diaries movie being filmed here in Georgia. Not sure when we'll see it as I didn't get that far into the conversation.

My step daughter is into the Vampire/Twighlight books & movies

I managed to get through 2 1/2 of them, but then gave up. They're okay, I guess, especially for younger folks, but not for me.

For comparison, I loved the Twilight series, and also enjoy the Southern Vampire series. Vampire Diaries just didn't measure up to those in my book.

I read these years ago as a teenager and I remember really liking them. I've always been a fan of vampire storylines(waaaay before the Twilight series) and have definitely read my share of them from tame all the way to the creepiest of tales. These were definitely on the tame level, but pretty good all the same. I'm looking forward to the new series.
