The value of a DVC point in the rental market

OTU points go for $19 per point and many rentals go for more than that now.

But one time use points are limited and can only be bought by members so I imagine rentals could go higher then that if a non member wants to stay at a certain resort for say a week or so.

I recently rented out 435 VGF points and 450 Riv points over two separate days at $23 per point. I book confirmed reservations so I don't have to go back and forth telling people there is no availability for the dates they want (most renters don't get that when they see someone selling for $16 per point, that person is either new to renting and doesn't understand how hard reservations are to come by right now or has distressed points.) The day I rented December reservations at Riv, reservations were going in 15-30 minutes of posting in a FB group. If people asked me to lower my price, I politely said "No, but thank you for inquiring." Key to my success is booking no-vlew studios Sunday-Friday or include only one weekend day so I can create value by being 45-60% off Disney and I almost always use points that have at least 9 months of life to them and try to make it such that if the renter needs to cancel, the points can still be banked for a year later (though I have never had a problem allowing a re-rental.) I also allow half now and half 60 days before and have a good reputation and am very transparent. I'm out of points today for rental but if I had some, I would be renting them at $24.

For what it's worth, I was curious about rentals and found the Confirmed Reservations section of DVC Rental (hope I can share all of this as I believe they are a sponsor). Here's a reservation that is available:

This same room is available to be booked for an owner for 201 points. So that equates to $26/point being paid by the renter (higher than the OP's example, but this is a 1 BR vs. Studio). And I believe that payout to the DVC owner is $14.50/point? We are within the 7 month window, so no premium for home resort. So while the rental rate seems to have gone up quite a bit, the payout to the owner hasn't changed much over the years.

26 a point is kinda steep,
however, what you are paying for there is availability.
you could not book that reservation now.
that reservation have to be book in the first couple of months of the priority window

Without looking and doing some comps I would bet that is still less than 60 percent of rack rate
