Yep, I had my second shot on Thursday afternoon and was pretty much one with the couch all day Friday! Zero energy, chills and fever. I thought I felt ok in the morning so took the dog for a walk and about a mile into the walk it hit. The exhaustion was crazy and I took 4 naps and still was in bed by 9PM. Woke up the next day feeling great!
What manufacturer of vaccine?

I shouldn't be this excited about getting a shot but... I have an appt for my first dose March 20th
I have to drive about 90 minutes each way times two but I don't even care.
The first ones fun, you’re glad you got it done,
second ones sad, it makes you feel bad.
But even if it makes you feel a wreck,
You’ll be glad you had it once on the deck.

So far my one sister has gotten both.
Her main side effect from the second one which she got on Tuesday was her arm swelled like a balloon on Wednesday into Thursday.
I was going to get the first one on March 13th but the second one would have been the day before Easter so I decided to move it a week because I don't want to feel crappy on Easter.

We're very thankful that we've received our vaccine doses. My dad passed of COVID related symptoms on Jan. 12th. It was frustrating to have my parents do everything possible for almost a year and my father test positive after having to spend time in a rehab facility due to an injury.

We made it our priority to get my mother vaccinated ASAP. My mother who's 86 got her second dose of Pfizer on Feb. 11th. She had a mildly sore arm for about six hours but that didn't stop her from charging forward.

Other than mildly sore arms - my Wife and I had no side effects from our first doses. We received our second Pfizer vaccine doses on Friday, Feb. 12. About 8 hours later my wife started having chills, body aches, and a low-grade fever. She also developed blisters in her mouth (this is common for her when she gets a virus). 24 hours later the symptoms stopped. I just had some nausea that came the next day and subsided quickly.

Getting the vaccines we felt was important to protect our Mom, and ourselves and to move forward with some Disney future milestones.

I'm three weeks into waiting to close on a DVC contract. We have a Disney Cruise booked for December, a tentative trip to Aulani in May of 2022, and fingers-crossed taking my Mom back to WDW in 2023 with our grandson who will be five.

Well I am kinda depressed and exhausted. My daughter was able to get her second vaccination on Friday as an EMT I mentioned this earlier in the thread. Not much earlier of course because it is only Sunday morning

So last night I got a call from my daughter at 7o’clock telling me that the 10 AM spit test she took showed her positive for Covid. My mind goes immediately to the fact that she just had her second Covid shot the day before on Friday. As for symptoms she is having all the typical ones of the people who have had a second Covid vaccination. Sore arm freezing cold, kind of tired, temperature is going up She came home from college this morning I prepared the basement for her next two week stay. There’s a entire apartment down there as far as accoutrements go. Bed, shower, kitchen, refrigerator, TV, outdoor entrance, no tub no dishwasher other than that pretty good set up.
On her way home she took another Covid test to verify if this last test was valid. The results of this one we do not expect to be as quick as yesterdayas results it could be 3 to 5 days.
Typically you could hear my daughter complain about people that are not wearing a mask. She will turn and walk the other way if she sees somebody without a mask. She holds her breath when she has to walk by people. She has hand sanitizer with her constantly. We are in a state that has both UK and Brazilian variance of Covid both noted to be exceptionally easy to spread.
my father and mother just got there shots on Friday, but this is their first shot. Called called my parents after we found out and told them that at no point are they supposed to see anybody any longer until two weeks after the next shot. They have to get groceries delivered to their trunk, that’s it! They’re 78 and live 2 1/2 hours away so who knows if that’s gonna happen. My stress is that my daughter got Covid and she’s so very careful. And although the first shot was not a guarantee, the second shot did not offer a guarantee either. My daughter found out that my father took a bite of a free hotdog that was given to him at a gas station grand opening and she ripped him a new one. (I got first crack at him though) we both love them but we love them alive.

Anyway, try to be so careful and now we have to worry about future repercussions this virus may cause. She did everything she could to keep from getting Covid including the shots and I realize that the second shot wouldn’t take affect for two weeks, but still. So after I tried to get as much water milk cereal disposable bowls and utensils. I’m throwing stuff down the basement stairs so her and I don’t come within 12 feet of each other. I’m at risk and my daughter doesn’t want to be responsible for my getting the virus. It’s been an exhausting 22 hours.
Be careful folks, this could get ugly.
Our Next sale date is late August.
I’m starting to hear others with similar stories. I find it very strange that so many seem to be getting COVID shortly after being vaccinated. It’s starting to sound too much to be a coincidence. Is it possible the vaccine could give a positive test result. It’s all very strange.

Don't know about the possibility of a positive result due to having the vaccine, but another possibility is that once people have received the vaccination, maybe they're letting their guard down (unconsciously, maybe) in relation to other protections (hand sanitizer, hand washing, distancing, whatever).

Supposedly is it possible to test positive on an antibody test, but you should still test negative on a viral test:

From listening to he MIT courses and other research it shouldn’t be possible with the Pfizer and Moderna as they don’t use the actual virus, but trigger our bodies to react to the spike protein theoretically stopping us from becoming infected, or a smaller viral load at least.

one question though would be as the body is reacting to the second dose, are people more susceptible? No idea there.

Well we can’t be sure. Although we did have her take a drive-through Covid test which would be 48 hours after her last spit test. But
we have not gotten those results back yet.
DD had no symptoms today whatsoever. And her symptoms yesterday were chills and sweats. And her temperature went up 1°
I still think that the vaccine created her positive result. But no proof and nobody will believe her no matter what she’d say anyways.

Dh got his first Pfizer shot yesterday. Feeling fine. Went to work, no complaints. Hopefully the 2nd one is this good for him too!

My dad is scheduled for March 20 if I can't find him one sooner. Once he gets his 2nd shot, I will feel a little better about traveling. I haven't had a vacation in 1.5 years. I really think it will help. I'm so long overdue.

My SIL (age 35 but works in long term care) felt the same after her second dose last week. It was to the point she went to see her doctor because she wasn’t sure what was going on, she felt horrible and was pretty scared. She was fine the next day.

After my first vaccine (Moderna), I was completely wiped the next day. Just bone-crushing fatigue. And my arm hurt like hell - way worse than with the flu shot - for a solid 5 days. Then right after that, the site itched like CRAZY for 3 days. My body is super weird. After the second dose, had the same fatigue and arm pain, but the latter only lasted about 3 days this time. But my whole arm was much more swollen this time, and warm. Got the shot on 2/5, and still can barely get my rings on and off that hand. =/ But still much, much better than having Covid, and am very grateful to have the vaccine!!

update...been 24+ hours and everything is good. my arm is achy, but thats it. My husband doesn’t even have a sore arm. i usually take Tylenol after a shot, but was told not to this time.
We were told not to use anything (acetaminophen or ibuprofen) before the shot (I usually do). But, if necessary, that acetaminophen would be OK to treat afterwards.

the cdc came out with that change after shot #1. My husband takes a low dose aspirin daily. Hopefully that was ok. We ask about the Tylenol yesterday and the
heath worker said to try to not take anything if you can. So I’m sucking it up.

I have an update on my twice vaccinated DD. She had always tested negative for Covid Every-Other-Day as per her University. But she had second vaccine on Friday and tested positive on Saturday morning(got positive results Saturday night) freaked out and asked to come home in the morning.

On her way home, She got a drive through CVS test on her way to our basement quarantine we set up for her. Test came back today as negative today!! She will still quarantine until she takes a second test with a negative result.

This testing thing is crazy.
