The unofficial waiting to make Be Our Guest ADRs thread-8/20 7am

I wonder if they've consolidated the menu..at least for the first few months of operation...because they know it's going to be a madhouse and they're worried about the kitchen's ability to keep up. Keeping it simple means they can push out more food, correctly, faster.

Honestly, I'm not impressed with the rather limited/small menu (kids and adult) for dinner. Everything on it looks good...it just seems like there are fewer choices than at other TS menu places. But we'll try to eat there, anyway. :)

The lunch menu seems about right.

I was thinking the same thing. I will try for dinner ressie's but if we can't get them I think lunch will be just fine. :)

Of course everything official notes Noon on Mon, I find it interesting that the page they've set up with the info (i.e. not the press release)...

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/be-our-guest/

...just notes that reservations can be taken by phone on Monday. i.e. no indication of time...just date. Which under normal circumstances would imply calling in at 7am.

I thought that was interesting too that they did not specify the time on that page... so it's looking more like 7:00 am :thumbsup2

Also REALY REALLY hoping that once some people start to juggle their ADRs for BOG it opens up some other places I was previously unable to get - ie. 'Ohana!!!

We will be one of those people that will be juggling reservations around. Sorry to say though we will not be juggling our Ohana or Narcoosee's reservations. This is our first trip that DW has ever gotten into Ohana's. Crossing fingers that someone will drop their Ohana reservations so you can get them!

I think that the IPO has had enough of my "reminders", that is how many times I have "tried".

I am happy with the menu, I'll eat a cupcake and probably someone elses's cupcake :yay:

I also hope to get in there for lunch. I say kick Cosmic Ray's to the curb!

You can totally have my cupcake if I can have your Pomme Frites!

Thanks for the good vibes! We were originally supposed to go in October and I had everything set perfectly - that should have been my first clue that a change was headed my way! Once we moved to December, as it was well within 180 days at that point, the highly coveted things were long since gone. Hoping that BOG is my window of opportunity!

Don't give up trying to get in. DW made our reservations less than 2 weeks ago. So maybe around a 135ish days. Much less than the 180 day mark. It is even for 7 people. We've never been lucky to get one and we even got it for the time we wanted! Crazy!!!!

Ours will be for 7 as well. What kills me is that there are (or were last week) multiple times available for the week after I need (I'm looking for Dec 10,11 or 12).

We are the week you are talking about.I wonder why the difference from your week to ours. Maybe you will have a better shot when the BOG reservations open up. I'd also keep an eye out on here for people listing their cancelations next week! I'm betting there will be a ton opening up!

After the debacle that was the Food and Wine Festival booking day, I don't have very high hopes for how smoothly Monday will go. I don't need an ADR until late January, do you think I'm okay waiting until I'm done with work at 3 to call?

We didn't call in on the F/W booking day. I'm curious what happened. Am I correct in assuming crashed phone lines and long waits? Anyone know how long those waits were?

I honestly just expect this to be a huge mess.

This scares me. I'm so glad My DW will be all set up to call. If phone lines crash, is it possible for the actual reservation system to crash too? Curious about waitblines too.

Does anyone know what the times are going to be for lunch? I originally wanted to get a dinner ADR but the menu for dinner is not that appealing for my family. Anyone agree? Lunch looks much better!

I've been seeing a lot of people saying 45-50 min waits once they actually were able to get through (i.e. lots of busy signals).

Disney Parks Blog post from the other day HAS BEEN UPDATED.....the New time is OFFICIALLY...7AM.

I was lucky, I got into the dining queue when I was called at 7 and waited 40 minutes to get a CM (who told me everything I wanted to book was sold out).
Others on the F&W thread reported it taking an hour to get into the queue and then another hour waiting.
I'm just going to wait until that afternoon to call since I don't need an ADR in the first month. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that there will be availability (it is a HUGE restaurant, right?)
