The unofficial waiting to make Be Our Guest ADRs thread-8/20 7am

Remember, the average Disney goer has no clue when this restaurant is opening, let alone when they will be taking reservations. It will only be us from this thread and some travel agents calling. :goodvibes I really don't think it will be that hard to get.

I do wonder if this one will require a credit card hold or not.

I sure hope so. The reports about them not opening all 3 rooms for each meal have me a little concerned though. I just keep remembering how hard it was to get into CRT back when they only had one character meal a day.

My other concern is that the week we're looking at has 4 nights with MVMCP. Anyone with a ticket isn't going to really want to spend that night in a restaurant (although I'm not above that.....) and those without a ticket will all be trying for the same 3 nights.

And I sure hope it does require a CC hold. Those spots will go fast enough even with the CC hold.

Is there a more direct number for dining? I have only called 407-wdisney for reservation stuff and did all my ADRs online.

Thank you for posting the info concerning November. We need November 21 or November 23 so not sure it's worth my time to call....
Disney Parks Blog just confirmed on their page that Be our Guest will open on November 19 and will start taking ADRs for that date on Monday, August 20.

A lot of people were posting that it would open November 16, but I knew that had to be incorrect, as the previews and soft openings for the New Fantasyland area are not supposed to open until November 19.

This does, however give me hope that we will actually get to preview this new area during our November 23 - December 2 WDW vacation. Yay!

Question for those of you who already have existing reservations that you want to replace with a BOG reservation ... are you going to cancel the current reservation before trying to make a new one Monday? Or are you going to do both over the phone at the same time? I don't want to cancel what I have, in case I don't get BOG.

But on the other hand, I'm worried that if the CM goes to make my BOG reservation and gets the screen saying I have a conflicting reservation that has to be canceled first, those extra few minutes (since we know the system will be moving SLOWLY) will cause me to lose the BOG reservation.

I might be overthinking things ... but I think that even a minute or two delay could cause problems.

Ressie, then cancel.

All our other ressies are under my wife's cell number.

This one will be under our home phone number.

Oh, you know, I didn't think of that. Since we're less than 180 days out, I can just make it with a different cell number and not tie it to my actual reservation number just yet.

Disney blogger said multiple rooms will be in use:

Hello. Can you choose a particular themed dining room you want to eat in when making the reservation?

You can make specific requests at the restaurant podium when you arrive.

Do not cancel an existing ADR. When 1900 PF opened with the Stepsisters I had already had all of my ADR's in place. It took several calls but I was finally able to secure an ADR for that meal but was told that I had to cancel my existing ADR. The CM gave me the ADR for 1900 PF and then immediately canceled the one I had in place.

I have no idea how to do this online, I took care of it over the phone.

Interesting email from BC IPO. I sent a followup to my request and got a response this morning that the start date for BOG was December 6th. Then the update came through on FB so I replied back with that news.

I think it is a crazy time to be a CM trying to sift through all of the updates and rumors.

Now we have an existing ADR on the 27th, which is a party night. We have been to the party before so I have requested a 5PM ADR, which is supposed to be the earliest time according to IPO. My family does not mind spending a few hours prior to the party dining but if it was the only night I was going to be in the MK I might think twice about it.

I know it was posted, but I want to add details:

Disney has confirmed the reservation information for the new Be Our Guest Restaurant in the new Fantasyland.

Reservations open beginning at noon August 20 at 407-WDW-DINE, with the very first seating for dinner on November 19. Online reservations will be available August 22 by visiting www.disneyworld.com/dine.

From the official DisneyParks Blog
On the Disney Dining Plan, Be Our Guest is one quick-service entitlement for lunch, and one table-service restaurant entitlement for dinner. Lunch is quick and casual, with guest-activated terminals that make ordering a snap (there also will be traditional cashiers for cash orders and special dietary requests). You order, take a seat and lunch is delivered to your table – on china, not paper. Dinner is table service. Cuisine is French-inspired to match the hit animated film’s theme, with three themed dining rooms: the mysterious West Wing with the “enchanted rose”; the Rose Gallery with twirling, larger-than-life figures of Belle and Beast; and the elegant Ballroom with domed ceiling, twinkling chandeliers and glimpses of softly falling snow outside.

It will be a required credit card hold ;)

Great news!!! This means it won't be a madhouse for the dates up to Dec. 6th. I'm glad they are not going to just do walk ups during the preview period. This gives a lot of us a chance!

I cancelled my 4:30 LTT but I still have 7:20 LTT which I will hold until I see if I can get into BOG on our MVMCP night

Yup, exactly our thought.

We've got LTT booked for December 12th. We'll try for a BOG ADR for that night on Monday. If we get it...I'll hop online and cancel the LTT ressie, myself.

Here's hoping we luck out. I'm guessing it's going to be "CRT-like"...with ressies going very quickly.

still hoping for soft openings for week before for a possible walk in for us!

Yeah, I'm going to do this too. Luckily I have two options for BOG. My first choice is Sunday 12/16. This is a party night and we are not going to the party, so I'm hoping for the latest possible ressie - 6:30 or 6:45. I already have a 6:30pm CP, so I'll cancel that if I get BOG. This is my top choice.

OR, I also will be in MK Wednesday, 12/19 when there is no party. So I can get a reservation there pretty much any time. I also have a CP reservation that night that I'll cancel if need be.

My plan is to do BOG one night and then CP the other. I wonder if I have less of a chance getting the reservation for 12/16 since I have to make it before 7pm. But that's my first choice. Ahhh, decisions decisions.

I'm not so sure about that......the Disney Blog FB announcement has over 10,000 likes, 1000 shares and 225 comments in less than an hour, since there announcement.:scared1:

I saw that but was not willing to be the first one to rain on our BOG parade :snooty: JK! All of those folks are not going to call in for ADR's. I think only those people who already have trips planned for that timeframe and are interested in this new restaurant. A lot of people yes, but still okay I think.
