My heart is breaking! I would love to book ADR for this for my "princesses" 15 and 18 yo, during our planned Feb 2013 visit, but 180 days falls right smack in the middle of our ABD trip to Ecuador. I'm sure I will not have Internet access in the middle of the Galapagos islands and when we return I'm sure this newly popular venue will be sold out for our dates. Wonder if I can convince my TA to make just this one reservation for us?

If it is a decent TA, they will! Its part of the service they offer (at least of all the ones I have ever heard of!).

I agree. If you have a certified Disney planner they will be up at the crack of dawn trying to book this for you. If it's anything like the agent I use when I need assistance- they won't guarantee the super popular meals (i.e. I think ours has some disclaimer on no guarantees for princess meals), but they most certainly will try.

If not, do you have anyone who'd be in the states that you'd trust to try and make the ADR for you? I've helped a number of my friends book their dining and it's worked out great. Sure, I was willing to be up before 5am CT to do this, but maybe you have a friend or some family who would be willing to try and snag BoG for you while you're away.

Thanks...I haven't picked an agent for this booking yet, it's only 3 days, but I think if I use my regular TA (Where I have over 40K in bookings over the next year) they would be willing...I guess my issue is that they are in the in central time and it seems like you need to be ready at 6 Eastern (which would not be a problem for me if I were home here in Boston). I think it's a question I'm going to ask before I book! I do have a sister in law that was a TA and could easily do it, but she's a late sleeper and I'm not sure I can get her to volunteer on her days off

If I were on Pacific time it might be more painful, but I think the excitement and anticipation is enough to drag me out of bed at any time. Either way- I think it's worth asking to see if they can do it. And if you do happen to look into a certified DIsney vacation planner before then, this could be one of those make it or break it aspects in picking an agent...i.e. who is willing to get up at 6am ET to try and snag a spot at BoG.

Yes, I think I'm going to make it a "condition of booking" that I get some help with ADR...at most it will be 3 -4 meals, and only one (the BOG) will probably need to be booked at dawn...most of the other places we will choose to eat are probably fine a few hours or even a day or two later.
Very excited about the Galapagos...will post a review on ABD board when we get back.

Ok, we are in too! Going Nov 26 - Dec 5. Fingers crossed BOG is open! It would be really fun if dinner was a character meal. Belle, Beast, Lumiere, Cogsworth, maybe even Mrs. Potts, although making your way through a dining room in that huge costume would prove very difficult.

No word on this yet. Some people think 2 just b/c it looks like it's going to be such a special experience. On the flip side, any place that can hold 550 diners and is CS during lunch sounds more like a 1 credit spot. We shall see.

It is for this reason I think it will be more of an animatronic aspect scaled to true size if they were to go any kind of character route. i.e. like Remy at Les Chefs. It seems more doable if Mrs. Potts were actually the size of a teapot. But once again- this is just pure speculation. Either way, I am soooooo excited to see what it does wind up being (since it surely must be fabulous) and hoping we'll get the chance to dine there in Nov.

No new news, but I do have something interesting to share that came up work concerning BoG.

A lot of people have assumed that while there is a lot of hype about the restaurant in the WDW fan community, the avg Joe who goes to WDW now and then is probably not really aware of any of this. Well, I had a situation yesterday that pretty much was the polar opposite of this.

I have a friend/coworker who has NEVER been to WDW (or any Disney park for that matter), her DH only went once when he was a young child, and to the best of my knowledge they have no plans to take their kids (7 & 10) any time soon. So, we started talking about how my 180th day is right arond the corner and BoG came up- i.e. how I was really hoping it would be open for our trip and that we'd be able to get in. Here's where the shocker comes in...she not only knew about the restaurant, but heard it was going to be a huge deal and that it all sounded really special.

Now obviously she is not hopping the first plane to MCO when it opens, but if someone who hasn't been to WDW and isn't going any time soon has this on their radar...it says to me that the demand may wind up being much greater than anticipated. It may end up being nothing, but I found it highly curious considering the assumptions that many people are just blissfully unaware of all of this.

I am in and waiting not so patiently. I want this to be my special dinner with DH when we go in February, he is even excited to try it. I just hope that we can get an ADR since it will be a quick trip so only a couple times would work for us!

Subscribing. We're going in mid-February 2013, and I really hope we can make our ADRs at 180 days out for this. We were in WDW last February, and loved looking at the construction over the wall. I just wish the mine train ride wasn't pushed back. Oh, well, at least more parts of FLE should be open by Feb.

I haven't heard any news. Just looking over my ADRs trying to rank the best spots to swap should I be fortunate enough to land an ADR.

My TA just returned from 10 day preview visit in WDW, and I called to have her book the BLT at CR for me and she had some news, but not much more than anyone else has heard

She said the first phase of the new FL with the Double Dumbos and the Belles village should be open soon, and there should be more announcements very soon. She told me they expect to have the BOG open in time for the "holidays" in December. She said they usually don't share any time lines unless they are pretty comfortable about meeting their date. (which we all know to be true!)

My own speculation is that if that is the "timeframe" for opening BOG that they are sharing, maybe some of you hoping for November could check for a "soft" opening?? Maybe no ADR's but stop by you might be surprised?? Again that part is just my own thoughts!

It makes sense that BOG will be open in December. I am sure it will be featured on the televised Christmas Parade. Still keeping my fingers crossed for my trip Nov 28 - Dec 3.
