The Unofficial Chatterbox Thread! Everyone is Welcome!

We should probably throw out an invite to all of the Hyenas that don't make it to the board too often as well.

So did we ever get exact dates pinned down? I was going to book my plane ticket this morning. Alaska has a pretty open schedule this far out.

So far my boss has about 32,000 points on his credit card that has the hotel gift cards. For every 12,500 miles we can get a $100 gift card. So far we have almost $300 off the hotel room. He spends an average of about $15,000 per month on that card. So I figure we should be able to get $600 off our hotel room with the gift cards. That should cover us for a few days.

It looked like Marriott was offering lots of specials/deals. I seen one that had get two rooms for the price of one room. I know my cousin Carol would like to come join us for a day or two, Pix may want to spend the night, what about Sarah or Melody?? If we get two rooms then we could spread out a bit.:thumbsup2
I think that we figured the first weekend in Feb. Marriot is good for me! the fair feild ir right across the street there.. easy peasy!
I know, I like the HoJo too! But free is a very good price!:rotfl: What can I say, I'm cheap!
me too! i love free!:cool1:

Cheap is a good thing, I am the queen of cheap. princess: (okay demoted to princess because we don't have a queen smilie)

And yep, Marriot offers deals on a frequent basis. B1 G1 ? wow that's cool!
Fairfield Inn has smallish rooms or maybe that was just our luck because we used Priceline at the time.

Okay.. I just threw the tiny princess in her crib. Hopefully she will get some rest. I dont know what is up with her lately.. No naps, waking up a hundred times a night. While my new FAVORITE baby, Vinny is soundly sleeping in his crib! :lmao:

Anyways... Ummm.. Yeah. i forgot.

The BOGO was at the Convention Center Marriott.

I just checked on the Fairfield and they have a double queen for $89/night if you reserve 5 nights and prepay. So I'll keep my eye on that one.:thumbsup2

What dates are you thinking of heading down Bernice? I think you said something about mid-week on your airline miles? I'm thinking I'll go down whenever you go, my miles are unrestricted as far as days go. Megan, do you need a weekend?

So maybe I'll go down midweek with B and stay until M leaves!

Cool, I was just going to post to check rates without AAA too.
Sometimes other lower rates pop up, it boggles my sis when we stay at the same place in Duluth and I get lower rates... well gee sis did you check ALL the rates.. uhhh no. :rolleyes1

I should also check on the BW employee deal. Last year I got the $50/night at the BW Anaheim Inn...not the greatest hotel. But I think the same company owns the BW Park Place and it's supposed to be nicer. If we could get a $50 rate and then use gift cards to pay...heck we could stay a while!:lmao:

I need a weekend. Frelan cant take to much time off work since we are planning on having him take 2 weeks off in May. So I figured I could come in on THursday.. or Friday. I am still working with him to figure how comfortable he will be taking care of all four kids... ALONE!:scared1: He forgets to feed the babies when I am sitting next to him. What is he going to do with me gone?

I can go over a weekend, but it would be a Thursday to Monday ..or something. (higher miles needed on weekend flights)

I think I need to make a call and ask if I can upgrade a So Cal AP when I am no longer living in So Cal. That way I can go on Sunday and just need a pass (volunteer deal) for Saturday.

Well ladies, I need to get my butt back to work. TTYL!! Have I mentioned I'm so excited that I have had a hard time falling asleep at my desk?:rotfl2:

I was wondering about that. I believe the other one in the area (all on same web site.. so likely all owned by same company) is Stovall's. It's not on Harbor, on a side street closer to the convention center.

We survived the Anaheim Inn, I've used the BWPPI too-- not my first choice but not too slimy either. I've stayed in worse when we were movling-- creepy places out there. ewwwwwwwww.

I remember we were driving to Oklahoma one year.. and my dad took an exit to find a hotel... We all took one look at it and said AHHHHHHH!! Back on the free way we went. :lmao:

I have only stayed onsite.. and at the Hojos.. and the La Quinta. The La Quinta was nice because the kids had their own room.

We made the rounds using Priceline, before they screwed up all the zones!
Marriot - convention ctr
Hilton - convention ctr
Fairfield Inn

Holiday Inn on Walnut
Ho Jo's
DL hotel

the boutique style I stayed in last year that I can no longer remember the name  It would be a nice grown up hotel, but only if you have a car! The ART was a pain because it was so far away (over by the stadium).
