The universal buy 3 get 2 free has changed

I've been pricing the 5 night package they have on the site alot lately. Well before it was coming up at 425 and change for our family of 3 at Fairfeild Inn. That included tickets. I priced it today and it no longer includes the tickets and you have to add them now, which made the package go up over 300. So I guess if I go that route now(If we go) I will look for cheaper tickets or just suck it up. I was hoping that that particular deal wasn't going to change, as it said before to book by a certain dat to get it...which hasn't come yet.

I think it's usually cheaper to the hotel and tickets separate so you might be better off on the tickets if you can find them at AAA or somewhere that might still have the cheaper tickets.

I think there's something to keep in mind about Harry Potter's role in the pricing changes. It's not going to get any better on specials. This is such a major addition and everyone in the tourism industry here is expecting WWoHP to be a huge boon for this area. The other theme parks will feel the effects of Harry Potter as well as the hotels. Therefore the hotels won't need to discounts rooms if they can get full price.

The hotel is still decent in price, now 212.14 for 5 nights, but then you have to add tickets which they are showing 4 day base tickets at 413.18 for the 3 of us. Not so great when the old price had 7 day hoppers. for only about 200 more. But I guess when you have a DH who can't make up his mind, thats the way the ball rolls. LOL!

I'm so glad that I booked my package last Sunday. I was going to wait but something told me to go ahead & do it now. I think that the changes went into effect on Monday. I got a 5 night package at Doubletree Universal for 3 adults with 2 park unlimited admission for $681.

No it was today. I looked it up uesterday and the old pricing was still there. I did do my calcualtions wrong though. LOL! I kept not adding DD to our travel so that was why it was so dirt cheap. I wondered why sometimes it was about 100 more when I priced it, and then I realized I either hadn't added her, or I put her as 1 instead of 5. LOL! Still the price is decent! Now to talk DH into it!
