I have a work crush! His name is Alek and he is GORGEOUS. He is from Sweeden or some place like that and he seriously is the most attractive man I've ever seen. WOW! :hyper: Shh.. don't tell DFiance.

My hockey husband is Swedish. Does he look anything like him? :rotfl:

Anthony has the cutest voice too! I haven't seen him yet today though. He works on the car care side but sometimes he comes on my side of the office to talk to this other guy Dan. I always keep an eye out for him. ;)

Update: I just saw him! Granted, it was mostly the back of his head, but at least I know he's here today! :rotfl: It was like he knew I was writing/thinking about him.

This doesn't make me like Elvis, does it?

I don't think so although your hockey hubby is HOT.. Alek is tall (like 6'5") which is a good thing since I'm 5'8". He has blonde hair and blue eyes.. and the bone structure of an angel.

I actually went to High School with Alek.. we were friends, although he was older than me. Then we went to separate colleges, and met back up at this elementary school! Small world!

Us girls are such Unicorns.. I love it!

That's how most Swedes look!

So, I should mention Anthony more often because he showed up in the lunchroom today and he's NEVER back there. And the weirdest thing happened. My DBf and Elvis have the same name (Joe) and I guess when I talk about my DBf, the car care guys assume I'm talking about Elvis. Maybe they think I like him, I dunno. Maybe that's why he acts so weird. But anyway, I was back there talking to my manager and a co-worker and Anthony comes in to talk to one of his buddies. I don't know what they were talking about but all of a sudden I hear, a bit louder for my benefit I'm guessing, "I'm no Joe but I'm alright" with a glance in my direction.

Okay.. first of all, MAKE IT KNOWN THAT YOUR DBF IS JOE.. and that when you are talking about him you aren't talking about Elvis!! Maybe this is part of the problem!? :crazy2: :faint: Regardless, Elvis is super creepy and shouldn't think you would like him anyways, :thumbsup2

And.. it sounds like someone miiight like youuuu! Mr. Hottie Anthony! Oh work crushes. :rolleyes2

How has everyone's day been?

All the people on my side of the office know my DBf is Joe. When I'm talking to them and the car care guys overhear me is the problem. And creepy Elvis knows this so there shouldn't be any confusion! Especially when I've told him I'm not interested! I've also said "My Joe...not creepy Joe over there"

:rotfl: That's what my co-worker Carol said. She said he was trying to get my attention. It worked cause I stopped mid-conversation to look at him with a 'what the hell are you getting at?' look on my face. I've seen him a LOT today. :thumbsup2

I've been giving you updates on my day! Not much going on obviously! :rolleyes2

D'OH! I turned around and we just caught each other's eye. God, it's like I'm 13 again.

My life is seriously crazy...there was way more to the story than what I thought. Long story short, I'm pretty sure that we're back on. We'll be moving a bit more slowly, though (things were going quite fast!). Thanks for the thoughts and good wishes, ladies! :thumbsup2

So, what's everyone doing tonight? No :happytv: for me, as I have a lab writeup to do (got an extension because of all my drama...thank God for sympathetic profs!). Not sure what I'm doing this weekend...I take things day by day now!

I'm not doing much of anything! I have work early tomorrow morning. I hate this every other weekend at 7am crap but I keep repeating to myself that I'm lucky to have a job right now. I may make a trip to Ulta! I'm low on foundation and I may splurge on some Bare Minerals! :thumbsup2

I'm glad things are better for you! There's nothing wrong with taking things slow. :)

I've heard of the Bare Minerals stuff but have never used it; do you think it would be OK for sensitive skin? Not sure if we can even get it waaaay up here in New Brunswick ;) but I travel to Maine fairly often and could probably find it there.

As for the relationship, I think the important thing is that we are both on the same page and agree that there is some discussion that needs to take place. I think this has potential...:goodvibes

Bare Minerals is fabulous! You barely have to use any and you get great coverage. And it lasts for months (at least for me!). It should be good for sensitive skin because they say it's "so pure you can sleep in it." :rotfl: Basically, it doesn't have all that junk in it that regular makeup does and won't make you break out.

Keep us posted on how things are going! Good luck with it! :thumbsup2

Starr: I'm happy things are back on with two! It's always best to take things slow and you're so right about being on the same page. I hope everything works out! You must keep us posted! :goodvibes :grouphug:

Jenny: I've never tried Bare Minerals but I love mineral foundation! I typically wear the supernatural from philosophy and it does a fantastic job. I really want to try Bare Minerals since I've heard so many great things about it!

HAPPY SATURDAY AND LAST DAY OF JANUARY!
Break out those Valentine's Day Decorations! Valentine's Day is in my top 3 favorite holidays.. we should have a party! ::yes:: I guess we'd have to break away from our classic purple but maybe we could settle for magenta-- a little purple, a little pink! :upsidedow

I hope everyone has a nice, relaxing weekend! Be sure to do something for yourself this weekend, Ladies!

Tigger, Honu, Minnie, and Julez: Hope all is well! We miss you!

Alright girls, where are you? It's Saturday, I'm at work, and you all need to keep me occupied! ;)

Hey girl! How's work going? It's crappy you have to work on a Saturday.. boo! :sad2:

Are you doing anything fun after work?

Hey! I had a couple going to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon but they just wanted general information and rates. They had to be somewhere so they left. That's been my day so far. Except drinking coffee and eating bagels.

I'm not doing anything later and I love it! :) I have the house to myself so I'm going to catch up on the NHL Super Skills Competition that I missed last weekend. I have it tivo-ed. My hockey husband is the goalie for it so I must watch :rotfl:

Hey-- sounds like a party!! :cool1: I hope the coffee was at least good! :thumbsup2

Hockey! Sounds like fun.. mmm, it's even better when the hockey hubby is in it! :hyper: ::yes::

I'm not doing too much this weekend. Waiting for DFiance to come home- he's being a grump and I'm just like :sad2: . But I guess everyone has bad days..

I just found out that I will be in my cousins wedding in October and I just learned what her colors are:
Orange, chocolate brown and fuscia (is that spelled right?). She wants us all to wear a chocolate brown dress with a fuscia sash. For some reason, the color combo just sounds awful to me. What do you think?

Coffee...not so good. But at least there's a Dunkin Donuts right across the street. We're on a busy highway though so it's like playing Frogger to cross it!

Are you doing anything for SuperBowl Sunday?? I'm going to my brother's. It'll be nice to see my nephews, though I doubt the younger one will let us watch the game. He'll either want us to play or be screaming to put Dora or Diego on.

:crazy2: Those are some pretty questionable colors!! I am NOT a big fan of orange to begin with, let alone mixed with brown and fuschia...

So that's how you spell fuschia! I knew it had an 'h' in there somewhere! :thumbsup2

Yeah.. the colors. I don't know what to think. Hopefully someone will talk her out of it.. I certainly don't want to buy a $150 dress in those colors, then I really won't be able to wear it again! :rotfl2:

As for the Superbowl, I doubt we're going to do too much. Probably grill and watch a little bit of the game. We're more fans of the half time show and the commericals. We will be rooting for the Steelers though!! :cool1:

I'm secretly rooting for the Cardinals since they're the underdogs. I can't do that outright though because my nephew loves the Steelers and he'll get mad at me!

My friend is a bridesmaid in a wedding coming up this year. I think they're the same colors. And actually, it's in Florida. Wouldn't it be funny if it's for the same person?? :rotfl: The bride's name is Jess, I think.

Happy Sunday, Ladies!!
If anyone is going to watch the superbowl, I hope your team wins! :thumbsup2

Wow.. the weekend was short! Didn't do too much- had to find DFiance a cheap sports coat and actually bought one for $53!! It was originally $275--I was very proud of my bargin hunting. :rotfl2: We started to plan our mini-Disney trip for my birthday (which is in 12 days :hyper: ) and tried to stay warm in the frigid Florida temperatures-68 degrees. For us, that's pretty cold. I'm so sorry for all of you who are experiencing REAL frigid temperatures. :sad1: :scared:

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

It would be funny!! The name is very close.. my bride is Jamie. We sometimes call her Jessie though.. hmm.. :scratchin

I sometimes feel like the only person in the world who doesn't follow football; the only time I've ever watched the Super Bowl was when I was invited to a friend's party in 2005. There are just so many rules!

:crazy2: The Man was sick this weekend, so I went out to his place to take care of him (really!). Men can be such babies! I didn't mind a bit, though; I can be such a "mom" sometimes! ;)

Men can be such babies!
Isn't that the truth! :lmao:
Sorry about your sick Man. :guilty:

Honestly, we don't follow football here either. We'll be watching the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet tonight. :thumbsup2
