Bwahahahahaha! You guys crack me up! I've been so absent from this thread all weekend- SOOO busy with household stuff and birthday parties for both kids etc. etc.

Hottie contest?!

I second James Marsden in Enchanted. *Sigh!*

Wow! Our men nominations have taken off! Woohoo. Oh man candy.

Welcome back Julez! We missed you!

Well, thanks Rora!

I'm wearing the purple scrub top today in honor of the UC!

I'm coming down w/a sinus thing- YUCKY!!!!!!!

Anyone here have any opinion on that Twilight series? I know everyone and their mother loves it but I can't get it at the library- it's always out- and there's even a waitlist for it. But I don't know if I want to pick it up unless I know I'm going to like it.

Besides our juvenile common interest in books of SVT/SVH/BSC, etc., I also loved vampire & spook novels. As a grown up, I like more light fiction though. Barbara Delinsky, Stuart Woods, HP (of course)..... do you think I'll like Twilight?

Julez- I wanted to love the Twilight series, but it wasonly okay. It was a light and enjoyable read, but I don't get the obsession.

Okay.. I'm going to be honest. I am a Harry Potter snob. :snooty: :snooty: :snooty: . A BIG ONE.

I really haven't had the time to read Twilight and I don't think I would even if I had the time. Maybe this is ridiculous, but I only have one spot in my heart for an epic, fantasy series, and that is Harry. :wizard: Now I realize the books are 2 totally different books (duh!) and aren't comparable at all but for some reason the whole Twilight hype just makes me not want to read/see it.

That being said- I'm sure I'd like the book considering I do like that type of literature. So, long story short- Julez, if you have the time (and can find a copy :scared: ), go for it and let us know how it is, especially from an HP fan's point of view.

julez, honu and paint- Nice to have you guys back! I've missed you guys!

LiloH and kmab00- Hi! :wave2: Thanks for stopping by and joining in the fun!

OK, must know where you bought the purple stuff. I got a purple Guess belt at Ross the other day!   I also got my lavender Hockey Fights Cancer tie in the mail. Whoopee!:thumbsup2 There was some VERY EXPENSIVE purple stuff on Rodeo Drive. I didn't stop to see the price. :scared1: :scared1:

I got the socks from the Jockey store. I went in there to take a look at their pajamas and came out with socks!  I got the bag at Macy's.

Congrats on getting your Hockey Fights Cancer tie! I wish I could see it (and that purple Guess belt, too!).

I'll bet that they had some great stuff on Rodeo Drive. Hey, by the way, did you see any celebrities while you were there?

Oh no! I hope you get better soon. :flower3:

I've never even heard of it until I saw the thread about it here on the community board. I also saw that there's a thread for people who don't like the book. You might want to read through both threads to see whether or not you'll like it.

Pro-Twilight thread: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1677992 Unfortunately, I can't find the anti-Twilight thread. :confused3

Whoa.......wait a minute! Why are we talking about books? We've got a "hottest men" contest going on! :rotfl2: :woohoo:

:sad1: We don't have any Jockey stores here, but we have a Macy's and there's going to be a sale starting tomorrow. :woohoo: Nothing wrong with going in for one thing and coming out with another. Nothing wrong with that at all. I went to Target today and came out with way more stuff than I needed to...:rolleyes1

Rora- HP freak here, too. You know what I told people about Twilight? It's okay, but it's no HP!
Have you read Inkheart? It's by Cornelia Funke, there are two other books, and it is being made into a movie starring Brendan Frasier. It was a great book!

honu- That's a really cool looking tie! :) By the way, I'm sorry you didn't see any celebs. :sad2: That's OK, at least you got to see one of the most famous shopping spots in the world. :thumbsup2

Of course, I am a complete dork so take my nomination for what it's worth. :rotfl: :woohoo:

John Stamos gets a nod from me too, especially when he was on Full House and now on ER.

Thanks! I love my tie. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

No big deal on the celebrities. :goodvibes It's just the way I am. I'm bad luck if you want to see them. I swear they run the other direction from me. (they probably know I'm just out to pinch their butts... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: ):happytv: I can see the ones I want on my TV any way, so I'm OK with that.

The shopping was good. Very good. Just expensive... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I did learn about Pinkberry. Feed me Pinkberry! It's my new favorite food!

Okay, I've come back from fainting!! LOL

How about this lovely man...
