Awww, what a welcome! I'm glad you're here, too! As for what to talk about.....hmmmmm. We can chat about any sort of fluffy topic: guys, food, guys, clothes, guys, WDW, guys, Disney stuff in general, guys......um, did I mention that we can talk about guys, too? We can also share silly signs and videos. If you'd like to discuss deeper matters (including politcs) we can chat by PM, if you'd like. Don't worry, I'm not really as ditzy as I may seem. Oh, before we decide, I need to post something that I should have posted before. Hold on for a minute.

I meant to post these earlier, but I forgot. Soarin, since you were an honorary Unicorn and a good friend of Honu's, you probably already know this stuff. I'm just posting this for our two newest members.




For our new Unicorn members:



again!! Here on the Unicorn thread, we talk about everything......... except politics and other controversial stuff. We're the fluffiest fluff thread on the DIS! We especially love talking about hot guys. Pictures are mandatory. Oh, and purple is our official club color. Sometimes, we refer to the Unicorn Club thread as the "Unicorner". We started planning a virtual vacation to Hawaii/Caribbean/WDW a while ago and we may start that up again soon. We also love to have virtual parties. We've also thrown 3 DIS Veteran parties over on the celebration board. Check 'em out!

Recently, we've had a lot of inside jokes about the Slap Chop. The fun all started on page 97 when Honugirl posted the full Slap Chop commercial. We decided that "Stop having a boring tuna, stop having a boring life!" would be our motto. Whoever is the first to post on a page must include the tuna motto at the top of their post in big purple letters. Yup, it gets crazy around here. Have a great time here at the Unicorner!

It'd be fun to chat about our common interests. I choose to not reveal too much about myself online, but I don't mind telling you a little about myself. I'm originally from Hawaii, but I'm living in another state now. (I like to say that I live in the State of Confusion. ) I'm interested in history, cooking/baking, politics (but I can only handle so much of it), Anne of Green Gables books, travel, psychology, clothes/makeup/shoes, classic movies and TV shows, music (especially Broadway, classical, "old school", disco, jazz...really music from every decade except for the current one. ), and lots of other things that I can't think of right now. What about you?

I don't think that's boring. Great majors! That's awesome that you want to be an author. What kind of books do you want to write? Fiction or non-fiction?

-We STRONGLY suspect that Jenny's work crush has a crush on her!!!
What what?

-Creepy Elvis guy has been leaving Jenny alone. In fact, he seems to be avoiding her. Thank goodness!!
Something else that's weird now tho...we take roughly the same route to work. He's been behind me maybe 3 out of the 5 days I come here. Yesterday, I got here 20 minutes early because there was no traffic and he got here the same time as me. Really strange. This never used to happen. I always joked if he fixed my car, he'd put a tracking device on it. I'm beginning to wonder if this is true haha.


-Jenny informed us of the new Earthquake attraction at Universal Studios featuring The Rock. (I HAVE to see that!!)
It's HILARIOUS! Christopher Walken is part of it too.


-Jacoby 46 (aka Mrs. Ellsbury here on the UC thread) got pretty sick the other day. Her daughter has been sick, too. Please keep them in your prayers.
I hope you're feeling better!

I think that's pretty much everything. I hope that I didn't leave anyting out. You already know about Honu's big news, so I think that you're all caught up.
Wait, wait I think I missed this!

So I went to see Confessions of a Shopaholic. I was so disappointed, it was awful. They basically kept all the character's names and the names for the companies but changed the story around completely. It was all over the place and it wasn't nearly as good as the book. They Amercanized everyone except Luke Brandon; the books are primarily set in London. All the cute plot lines in the book were reduced to small jokes throughout the movie. And the whole mannequins talking thing. WTH was that all about? I didn't like it at all. I was so looking forward to it too. I wish they could've done it proud, like The Devil Wears Prada because I really LOVE these books. I think it tanked at the box office too...

Oh well. Happy Tuesday! I'll pop in and out throughout the day. We were really busy yesterday and I have some stuff to catch up on.

Just stopped in to let you know that my daughter got a bit worse and I ended up in the ER with her this morning. She has a UTI and is doing better, but not after vomiting all night, IV's, cat scans and bloodwork! She is resting and will be out of school for two days, so I won't be around much. Sorry and be back when I can!

I'm so sorry to hear about this. I'm glad that your daughter is doing better now, though. I will definitely keep her in my prayers. Tell her that the Unicorns hope that she gets well soon. Please keep us posted.
