Welcome,

I have started this thread to introduce my very special MIB Alien Attack Version 4.0 Handbook made by me personally. I want you all to enjoy it and I would like to hear your comments either via E-mail or through this thread. I personally don't need to hear any rude or unnessary comments, but keep this thread alive with all of your thoughts. Thank you.

This took me a while because I am not the super duper high tech webpage fanatic. So this is the best I can do and this is actually a really cool guide. Feel free to print it out. This is I believe the best guide you can ask for. Enjoy!

Wow, great job.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and in this case, the pics will help out. This is the first guide I've seen with pictures.
I'd make it a permanent feature at IOACentral.

Your Web site is great! I really like the pictures, because sometimes I have a hard time figuring out which alien/window/story etc. I should be shooting at - it's easy to get confused while on that ride.

We're leaving next week for another trip to HRH and US/IOA. My favorite ride is MIB, and using MIB999999's tips, I managed to get up to ~650000 points last trip. Hopefully, I can beat it this time!

Yeah considering the fact that this ride contains 127 unique aliens, having just words makes it a lot harder than it seems. When we write the guides, we forget that everyone hasn't ridden the ride 100+ like we have. I thought people need to see what we are talking about. Plus I have gone into much more detail then MIB999999. No offense, but his is 2 or 3 years old. I know for a fact that he himself knows a lot more now then he did before. He just didn't feel like making another one. What I did was I went on the ride first thing in the morning when no one else was on. Having my handy dandy Casio camera in my pocket (really small) http://exilim.casio.com/ I popped it out and took the exact pictures needed for the guide. I had to do it in the morning because I didn't want to bother anyone else on the ride. I figured since I know this ride by heart and the people know me and my life, this wouldn't be that big of a problem. Some of the photo's are Mike's and that is because he was nice enough to send them to me so I didn't feel I needed to take pictures of one's I already had. This guide is not only the first to have pictures, but they are blown up and clear enough for you to even see the sensors. Trust me, on the ride in the dark light, seeing these sensors are close to impossible unless your really close up to the aliens which by then doesn't give you enough time to shoot and get points. I had the ability to use flash so the pictures came out perfect. I am glad you enjoy the site and I hope more people will join in and see it as well. Please post any comments on this thread here. Kind of like a guestbook. Does anyone know how to set one up like that on the site? Just to see where you stand with your scores, I now usually reach 873,000 almost everytime becfore going into the green scanner using my guide. I still need a picture of frank the pug which is very difficult and the 2D and 3D bugs in the second story windows. Stay tuned for that update.

Your welcome. Please keep checking back. I will update the page again with more pictures the next time I go up. Most likely sometime this month.

Well I don't know if anyone heard me, but please by all me means write on this post whatcha think. I just set up a guestbook on there for you all to sign. Thanks

We used your guide today. (My husband and I and two sons age 15 and 16.) We all studied your pictures last night and this morning. It was great to see pictures with the guide. We have always used MIB999,999's guide which is fantastic but your pictures helped us focus on specific aliens this time. We still haven't made the 999,999 points yet but we'll try again next weekend. If you or MIB999 would ever consider tutoring a couple of teenage boys, it would be even better than pictures. Until then, we'll just have to be content with your guides!

I would like to see one more picture. You said:
Final Run:
When you exit the scanners, Look up at the ceiling and you shall notice drop down bugs. Don't shoot the aliens themselves because they are worth nothing, They have hidden sensors to the left and right of them that make them worth so much. You will see an I-beam behind it in the picture that has little black square sensors.

We could never see the little black square sensors there. We were all trying to see them today and couldn't, even after riding MIB 5 times in a row this morning. At the ride today my oldest son said: "Why don't you call your friend from the board and ask him where it is?" like we are old buddies or something! :) I do thank you for all your work on this. It is certainly appreciated by those of us who are still trying to acheive the 999,999 points.

Quoting MIB9's here:
"right after the scan, there are two alien over the left track and one over the right track that drop down from the ceiling. on the I-beam behind them are the sensors to shoot for and they are worth big points. If you find the sensors, keep shooting them since they continue to give good points, even better than the exhaust port"

They run along the beam and then along the sides too. MIB9's thinks it's easier to hit the side ones and I go for the ones along behind the aliens.

It's really, really hard to describe, but once you see them (a bunch of round shiny sensors), you will always see them!

I'd take a picture, but if flash photography is allowed, I wouldn't do that to the others around me, and I'm usually there when there are other people in the car with me. :(

Thanks, Karen. We'll look again next weekend. MIB999999's guide was our Bible when we frist went to universal last November. We had it all printed out with 4 copies so each of us had one. His guide is what started our addiction to the ride. We moved to Orlando from Texas just a month ago and are so excited to be able to feed our addiction regularly now! We just bought the 2 year pass last week.

No problem, Phanton! Isn't a wonderful thing to move down here? I moved from Boston just over 2 years ago and I'm SO glad I did...just packed up my boys and moved! :) I can't imagine living anywhere else now....AND, I met the love of my life right here on these boards and then in person at IOA/Universal (and Men In Black as you might have guesses!)

You are going to enjoy being able to go to all of the special events, especially Mardi Gras...THAT is a very fun time of year! And their passes are such a deal!!! :bounce:

Welcome to the neighborhood! :)

Well I started this thread for that very reason, an updated and improved guide. It has the pictures and everything like msdisney said for you to do. I have it all. Yeah I took the pictures when I was the only one on in the morning. Here is the link:

http://hometown.aol.com/eddieb23foshezy/myhomepage/index.html

This has pictures, better explained layout, and the tracks are seperated on the left and right so you can follow each side individually. Plus in the middle in orange, it says which side should come out with more.

I would like to see one more picture. You said:

Bev,
The picture of one of the "drop-down-boys" is there in his handbook, it is the picture on page 2, just before the big bug (which is the last picture) and next to a picture of the empty MIB vehicle. If you look at the picture, you'll see the silver beam running behind him, and look closely, you'll see little square, silver areas...THOSE are the sensors. As I said, MIB9's says there are also sensors on the sided, and he finds it easier to shoot those ones, everyone has a slightly different vantage point, but if you know what you're looking for, you'll have a much better chance!

As a point of reference, you CAN shoot the alien and de-activate him...but there are 3 drop down boys, so you don't want to waste your time trying to do that and miss out on the points that the sensors carry. Although, if they're making you spin, it's darn hard to hit the sensors, IMO.

Oh, and MIB9's has been known to give classes, I'm sure when the crowds die down, he'd be happy to do so!

Karen :smooth:

Oh first of all. About those aliens shooting at you, that is true. If you shoot those sensors as Msdisney said and what I said in my guide, you get points , but you also shut them off from shooting. There is no other part of him you can shoot, that I beam is the only place and that is where you get the points and you and stop them from shooting. Oh and to answer a while back question, I would help anyone who needs it. If I happen to be going the same time, I could help. I have helped a lot of people who were just in line and wanted my help. I hope the family isn't mad at me because since they went on with me a lot, it kind of changed their plans around for the day lol. Oh well, they asked for it, they got it, toyota.

Could you please walk me through on how to get the guide? because after clicking the link above, I got stuck.... so could you help me????

Lol, that was 2003!!!! You'd be better off using the thread about guides to the left and right sides that is available on this forum. You'll just have to dig for it.
