The Ultimate Disney Bag

I purchased a LeSportsac cross body bag from TJ Maxx for our last trip and really liked it. It held up well, was good in the rain, and carried all I needed. I have one of the smaller bags because all I really carry is my camera, phone, and wallet. I imagine one of the slightly larger bags would work well for diapers etc. And if you want to splurge, they even have the Disney It's a Small World line:)

I have a LeSportsac which was bought at TJs and its really a great disney bag. Its crossbody and divided into 3 sections. There's the top zipper which is the main bag, a zipper half way down the front. That's the bigger pocket and another small section for cards (it has little credit card sized slots inside). I like it because I can important things in their own pocket and not worry about losing them when I take other stuff out. Its also nylon and keeps everything dry. I used it during a trip where it poured the whole week and my stuff didn't get wet.

I don't like those cinch backpacks. After traveling with someone using one, I found it really annoying. Every time they needed something in it, we had to stop so they could take it off and dig through it. It felt like we were stopping all the time. With the crossbody, everything was easy to get to on the go.

I use a Coach swingpack (crossbody) bag so I can retain some sense of fashion while I'm there :lmao: I like it because it's small, canvas, has lots of pockets, light weight, and durable. I prefer the crossbody style to the backpack style because it's right there when I need something without having to take it off, and backpacks make my back sweaty.

If you go the crossbody route, avoid leather and stick to canvas. I had a leather crossbody bag from Forever 21 so it was cheap, but the leather melted all over my white shirt due to humidity/my sweat when I wore it around a park once. Shirt is still stained.

I have and love this bag also. Been using it for years. I also had a problem with the strap not staying adjusted when I first bought it. I adjusted it and put a large safety pin in it and haven't worried about it since:)

I tried this but the pin flew off and winged some poor unsuspecting little boy on the arm (his mother was very understanding). I have not tried again.
Maybe I needed a stronger pin, or less stuff in the bag......

I have the same problem....I thought of maybe stitching it into place but worried about damaging the strap.

I don't use a regular sized pin I have a LARGE safety pin and it has been working for 5 years now. Not sure where you could get one, maybe a local dry cleaners.

Bought my ultimate WDW bag in Orlando at the North FAce outlet, LOL!! It's a backpack, and dh and I take turns carrying it. We carry water bottles, rain ponchos, sunblock, camera, wallet, sunglasses etc. I really wish I'd thought to get a backpack when I was hauling diapers. We use it at Busch Gardens, back home here, and for minor league baseball games.

I'm another one who bought an Overland Equipment Donner bag based on recommendations from here, and I *LOVE* it! I used to use an Eddie Bauer daybag, which I also loved, but after 15 faithful years and one too many trips through the washer, it finally gave up the ghost. Sadly, I'd recommend against the current EB day packs :(

At the recommendation of a poster in a similar thread last spring, I bought a Patagonia Atom bag. I used it with great success on a May trip to WDW.

It is not a huge bag, but the girls called it my Mary Poppins bag because I seemed to be able to fit everything in it.

I love the zipper in the strap...I wish that trend would catch on.
I couldn't find one single small backpack that had it. Last year I simply bought a GOGO Thick Solid Color Wristband with Zipper / Wrist Wallet and velcroed it onto my backpack strap.

That's a really good idea. That zippered pocket barely fits my iPhone 4S, but it did fit that my KTTW RFID card. We are leaving tomorrow for another trip, and I will use it again, probably alternating between it and a tiny crossbody bag, depending on what we're doing.

We have a bag lovingly referred to as the "Disney" bag. It's just a light blue cross body back pack I bought at Target or Walmart. It's held up through trips with my niece and nephew and now with my own two little ones. Our least two trips were the real test for it. We have a four year old and took trips with her and our son when he was 2 months and 11 months. I'm proud to say that it is still the "Disney" bag. It has been for 14 years and counting...

I have a small backpack that carries everything we need for our youngest daughter - wipes, diapers, change of clothes, sunblock. Next trip, I'm going to bring a separate bag for all my stuff, so the backpack stays with the baby and I don't have to dig out my money or whatnot if my husband and I split up. I was looking at this Baggallini. Love all the separate sections and pockets. http://www.ebags.com/product/baggallini/criss-cross-color-block/242545?productid=10265974
