Another post got me thinking about this, and as I like to over-plan things (it helps with my excitement) I am thinking of the ultimate way to spend my first day. What do you guys all do? And how does my plan sound? I really want to know I’ve arrived at Disney so here is my first draft:

My Eurostar gets in at about 12.30 so I figure by the time I’ve got to Sequoia lodge and back out to the park it’ll be about 2.

I’m going to head straight for the Disneyland Park and have a lovely stroll down Main street, then admire the castle, and breathe a great big happy sigh!

Then (after my boyfriend has got a waffle, as he’s adamant about this! Lol!) I am going to go on Small World – the Disney-est of all rides in my opinion.

Then I think I’ll get the train round the park, hopping off at frontier land to check on the BTM line and going on if it’s less than an hour (not holding my breath) or go on the phantom manor.

As for the rest of the day I definitely need to see the parade, and fantillusion and the fireworks. I think I might book Walt’s for either during or just after the parade.

I am more than happy to hear and changes, suggestions.

Sounds fantastic - I just love that first walk down Main Street :lovestruc

sounds great!!! I love walking through the Village and Main St.

but, why don't you pick up fast passes for BTM? it'll be easier than waiting in the queue.

we also booked Disney Express service and head straight to the park. the hotel rooms aren't ready before 3pm. must say, the Express service is fab!!! I'm sure you can still book that over the phone.

I booked my Eurostar and hotel independently of one another, so I was under the impression that we couldn’t benefit from Disney Express :-(

Also, is fast pass available all day? In Thorpe park and places by about 10am all the passes are gone. So I was just assuming I couldn’t get any that late on.

If I am wrong with both of these assumption then I will be one happy Torsie!! :-)

With you mentioning fantillusion and the fireworks, I'm assuming you're going summer season?

You may be lucky and still be able to get fastpass when you arrive at the Parks. Out of main summer season/school holidays, you can get fastpass all through the day.

Definitely worth trying for a fastpass I'd say.

I'm doing the same as you this trip - straight off the coach/train, and straight to Main St :goodvibes . I don't even mind taking my suitcase through bag check to leave it at Guest Services at the entrance to the Park!

Yeah, I go July 6th! :-)

I don't mind dropping my bags at the hotel really. But would be ace if I could get Disney Express.

I'm sure i've read before that you are be able to add disney express even if you do book separately

Our Eurostar also gets in at about 12.30 and we are using Disney Express so its stright to the parks for us. Only thing with have booked for the first day is Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show at 6.30 PM. We did this last time we went and found it usful as we did not have to choose where to eat on the first night.

I can add on Disney Express - £14 per person.

I just don't know whether to go for it or not. Tricky tricky.

Im thinking the same, since we get in about the 12.30 too.

We will probs just head to the hotel (Santa Fe) and leave our bags with bell services and then stroll back to the parks!

Its my DBF's first time, so i don't want to overwhelm him!
