Okay, tell me the truth about the WDW coffee. I need to know about the coffee at Pop, where to get a good cup of coffee, and which resorts and/or parks have places with good coffee. TIA. My travel companion is in need of this information.

Coffee in WDW is disgusting. :scared:

We bring our own bag of grounds and coffee pot so that we can enjoy some good coffee.

It's looks bad and doesn't taste any better. And I'm not even picky about coffee!
Skip it and go for tea or hot chocolate.

Or better yet go to the Poly before a day at the parks :)

So true! Maybe we could get Disney to get some DDs and Starbuck's booths? Then it truly would be the most magical place on earth!;)

There were a couple spots my husband and I were able to find decent coffee and tea (sorry to you Lipton tea bag fans, but they do NOT cut it for me). Both were at snack carts that didn't take room cards as payment (cash only), one in Epcot and one in Animal Kingdom. I'm afraid I can't say exactly where the one in Epcot is (bad of me, I know!), but the one in Animal Kingdom was near the entrance to the park.

We intend on getting to the Polynesian Resort and having some Kona coffee on our next trip...we had it when we were in Hawaii two summers ago and LOVED it.

:headache: urg....

I am so excited about our upcoming August trip and I forgot all about the awful coffee!

I enjoy a coffee in the evening and last year , when the kids were enjoying stormalong bay late at night, I was really craving a great cup of coffee. I had DH get me one at the bar at YC ...yuck! Then I walked to the marketplace at BC and yuck!

I don't know why after spending $400 plus a night in a hotel , they can't offer you a decent cup of coffee!

Okay, rant over.

I still love WDW and it is my favorite place. Just not the coffee!

the coffee is horrible but i still drink it. the s/d have starbucks sooo much better! also the cl have good coffee.

So the Swan or Dolphin have a Starbucks "take out place" that I could get a cup at night time. We are staying at YC again this year and it might be worth the walk over!

thanks!

Oh I just remembered, I had coffee in Norway and it was decent. I think it was the Nescafe garbage but it was a latte or something so the flavor helped it taste less, I don't know, gross?

Because of Disney's sponsorship tie-in with Nestle (e.g. The Land pavilion at Epcot & other places at WDW), they're pretty much committed to serving their coffee everywhere (with few exceptions like S/D which aren't really Disney hotels). Even the cm's in France/Italy complain that they can't serve guests a good cup of coffee because Nestle has to supply theirs as well. There a rumours flying on other boards however that Nestle has decided to give up its sponsorship of The Land so there is great hope that better coffee will be coming soon (Starbucks hopefully). Question is, what will happen to the favourite Mickey ice creams that also come from Nestle. Wouldn't Ben & Jerry's be nice!

The only places we've had good coffee is at some of the signature restaurants. None of the CS have good coffee. It's all nescrap as dh describes it. We bring our own from home.

At POP there is no good coffee, my DH and I had to put hot chocolate in it to make it drinkable..,
Now the coffee at the Poly is wonderful- Kona coffee in a press pot at the Kona Cafe and they also have a coffee bar right outside Kona but it has very limited hours.
Bring your own coffee and a travel pot, but if you make your own you need bottled water cause the Orlando water makes even great coffee horrible!

There is an outside vendor that has carts here and there. There are a couple in Epcot (I recall one on the M:S side of the Innoventions East breezeway) and I think one in AK somewhere (maybe by the entrance to Africa?) That stuff isn't horrible.

Other than that, I just make sure to add a pound of something decent to my garden grocer order, and that covers me for most of the trip.

WDW coffee is swill and I bring my own blend from home.

I also bring my own travel size coffee pot because I will not use the coffee pots in the resort rooms.

If they are a latte type drinker just do 3/4 coffee to 1/4 hot chocolate in the refillable mug at the food Court & it is ok. When we stayed at pop they had real cream which also helps. If they are a black no sugar/sweetner not so good for them. I am so happy happy when I am at WDW that I kinda skip coffee.

Do the Deluxe resorts have coffee makers in the room? Are you allowed to carry in a travel mug of coffee into the parks?

My DH can't function without coffee in the morning. I can pack coffee/filters, etc. - was just curious if he'd be able to take it with him.

Thanks!

I am not a coffee drinker but from reading a few of the coffee threads, people have also advocated going to the big McDonald's near the All-Star resorts for non-Disney coffee.

The coffee served in the quick service counter is Sanka (YUCK).
Last September I brought Folgers coffee singles----they look like large tea bags. Put one in your Disney resort mug and fill up with hot water at the quick service counter. There is a third spout for hot water at the Sanka machine. There is sugar and milk already available. I hope this helps.:surfweb:
