The Trippie Who Hath No Name, or, the trippie that'll be completed when I get..

I'm having truoble naming this TR & I need your help-you can pick up to 3:

  • "The Trippie Who Hath No Bacon"

  • "The UNDisney-est Vacay EVER!"

  • "Setting out to be the Longest Running Trippie on the Dis....with STYLE!"

  • "NEVER Invite People Wut Doesn't Wants to go..."

  • "COVER YOUR EARS! Did she REALLY just say that??!??!"

  • "How to hate your mate in 7 easy days..."

  • "The BEST way to stay friends with your friends is to NOT spend time with them while on vacay..."

  • "Food Porn - not on THIS Thread!"

  • "Other" [submit your own title]

  • "This trippie Who Hath No Name" [the sentimental favorite]

Yup. No doubt about it. I would have:
  • got some Turkey legs
  • ridden RnRC using ALL the fast passes
  • stopped by Starring Roles for a cupcake

before even thinking about asking a stranger to use their phone. ;)

...and that's why you're YOU and I'm ME....:confused3 [ :teeth: ]

....I will definitely try to update later - gotta take my DS to the college for testing....he wants to retest on the English part of the placement test, since he missed passing by 4 POINTS and they have 48 hours to be able to do that...

Definitely worth the retake - good luck to him! Where is he going BTW?

....two years at BCC [Bergen Community College] to complete all the 'mandatory' classes [English, Science, Psychology, Math, etc] and two years atJohnson & Wales [as a culinary arts major].....Hey, English is English, no matter the college, right? And what would YOU pick - $27,000/year tuition or $2,200/year tuition? He also wants to do an internship at WDW....

"What's that you say? We didn't ride RnRC? OR have turkey legs? Oh ye of little faith...."

.....well, not only did we get to participate in AI [personally, I think it's rigged, because it seems that everyone around us was picking the same contestant, but someone else won...:confused3], we were able to purchase a couple of turkey legs after all. I managed to wave to the survey-taking CM, which, of course, my DH had no idea what that had been about:

[...no this WASN'T taken at Toluca Turkey Legs, but you get the idea...]

....but I did manage to look around me and decided to snap this:

WDW_2010_Mystic_Dunes188.jpg

[...funny, the things you miss when you don't take the time to stop and smell the..uhhhhh...turkey legs...]

....afterwards, we by-passed Tatooine, which was closed for refurbishment:

WDW_2010_Mystic_Dunes181.jpg

...and the New York street area, foregoing [yuck, need I say it?] Backlot Tour:

[...*gasp*, <<shudder>>...]

....only to find out that Lights, Motor, Action! had just completed its last performance of the day...

WDW_2010_Mystic_Dunes183.jpg

....AND, we did get on the 'regular' line, since our Fastpasses were now long-expired, for RnRC. Ironically, the line wasn't even too long. [...that's something that I STILL cannot figure out, BTW...:confused3 ]....it was right around at this point that Dylan had had enough of the adult company, and he wanted to revisit Epcot, so he did so, by way of the WDW transportation system - we told him that we'd pick him up with our car later in the day...it was getting to be a long afternoon, so after purchasing some cool and creamy ice cream, followed by doing something we hadn't on previous visits - explore Walt Disney: One Man's Dream:

....eventually, we returned to our rental car, but not before YET AGAIN, running into another street show:

[...funny, but some of my students think the same way....SCARY!]
....out DHS's entrance we went, and good thing too, because it appeared that the skies were about to open up:

WDW_2010_Mystic_Dunes206.jpg

....but not so as we headed over to Epcot to retrieve Dylan. Actually, that turned out to be quite easy - we didn't need to pay for parking, since we had already done so, and, we explained to the CMs in the parking lot that we weren't there to visit Epcot, but to pick up someone. They let us drive as close to the monorail entrance as possible, where we waited for a few minutes until Dylan emerged from Epcot's entrance....did you notice that the day was turning out to be a 'junk-food-grab-and-eat-as-you-go' kind of day? Well, not to be outdone in the evening portion of the day, when we returned to DHS later, we, once again met up with Jean and Maureen so that we could head over to savor the delights and wonderment of Fantasmic!, arms filled with the spoils of DHS - soda, hot dogs, pretzels, nachos, bottled water, and popcorn. You know, your typical healthy-type fare. Comfortably seated seven or eight rows back [ with plenty of elbow room], just slightly left of center, we ate until our appetites were fully satiated, thoroughly relishing the entertainment...

....my favorite part of the show is when the floating Steamboat Willie boat comes into view, which is an 80’-long reproduction of the same boat where Mickey was first introduced in 1928! The driver is none other than Mickey Mouse himself, as if he were transported from the past. Gracing the decks are some of the most easily recognizeable Disney characters, like Mulan, Beauty and the Beast, Megara and Hercules, Donald, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip ‘n Dale, Pinocchio and Geppetto, Lilo and Stitch, Snow White and the seven dwarfs, Aladdin and Jasmine, Pocahontas and John Smith, Mary Poppins and many more:

...Day 6 was now becoming just a happy memory and a future page in my long overdue trippie...

Perfect place to start! J&W is a great school, but totally expensive. And if he does an internship at Disney, you will definitely have to go visit him on his CM discount.;)

come on

GORDON TAGGO!

you can update!!!:lmao:

pirate:

not so bad when you consider the alternative......:scared1:

no, I saw it, but you made it small enough and in a faded color so that people would not see it very well.:lmao:

you must watch Mad Men:rotfl2:

....Reason #1 why I refuse to update my trippies.....:snooty:

Kimmar, I hope you realized that until March 1st of this year WDW never honored end of FP times. I hope that you all went back after Fantasmic! and used those FPs that you had!

Given that there was no faded disclaimer or watermark underneath the pictures.....

Really, really cool pictures of Fantasmic! Kimmar. :thumbsup2

And glad to see you did manage to get on RnRC.

Day 7 - "...what a way to end our WDW vacay...."

We've got a full day of park-going scheduled for today, so it was imperative that we get going as soon as possible. Justin and his GF had already pondered and decided doing WDW the 'ultimate commando style' (no, he WASN''T going to the parks without his undies... ) - they had their sights on doing ALL FOUR PARKS in one day....ahhhh, youth is definitely wasted on the young....I wasn't sure about the order of which they would be visiting each of the four parks, but they did begin the day with us, at Epcot. What's that you say? Epcot AGAIN? Well, I didn't mind, even thought we've already visited Epcot earlier in the week. Looking back, after the events that unfolded later in the day [and there were several], it would have been more prudent to visit MK for the entire day, but we'd already made our itinerary from our previous meeting months ago, which included dinner APR's, so Epcot became our destination...

...passing up the opportunity to ride SE [the line was pretty much non-existant] we power-walked to the left, eventually making our way to Mission Space:

...closer and closer we inched along, we stayed the course until we'd reach our final destination:

WDW_2010_Mystic_Dunes229.jpg

....suffice it to say, this ride is not for the faint-of-heart, nor the queasy...I was still in total awe that I was able to ride M:S twice in one WDW visit, although that was small consolation for what lay ahead....hurrying through the Mission:Space gift shop, we quickly strode over to Ellen DeGeneres' Universe of Energy:

....afterwards scurrying to Test Track, infamous for its frequent break-downs. I'm sure you'll recall that, during our last visit, we by-passed the small viewing room to watch the pre-show film about the ins-and-outs of testing pur own personal vehicle. Rest assured, it was still on the fritz. Feel free to say "Uh-ohhhh!" here:
