Depending on extending the trip on our own, this is what it looks like right now. I'll take any, all suggestions on what you think.

I'm in and subscribed! I am still reading your other trip report and enjoying it. Then I noticed in your signature that you had a MAW trip. All I could think was there is no way this adorable little girl is sick (okay prayed). My DD4's bday is March 16, 2006 and I cannot express the emotions this brought on. Here is my youngest Hannah -

(Hannah had just gone to BBB and had chosen what I referred to as the "Dolly Parton Bad Hair Weave Do" otherwise her hair is similar to Juliana's hair.)

My DD14 and DS11:

We will be back in WDW from 11/25 - 12/5 at the Poly, so we will be overlapping with your trip! I don't know if you have considered it but have you thought of BBB??princess:

Okay...all caught up now...

First, congratulations to all of you on the new baby! Juliana will make a great big sister! I am glad to see that you have decided on BBB! Hannah LOVED her first time and it is #1 thing to do for this year as well. Keep trying to get that appointment at MK. We have never done the DTD one and I am sure it will be magical, but something about the castle. When it gets close for everyone to the 45 day mark you may find a cancellation do to a cancelled or modified trip.

Hannah's appt. at BBB is the Sunday before you arrive at 8:30 a.m. before the park even opens. A little pixie dust your way to make that happen...:wizard: However, last year her appt. was in the evening right before dinner on that Sunday. Her hair lasted for 5 days of parks and swimming. I had to remove the weave while she was sleeping because it was starting to look like a nest.

Looking forward to the planning....is this your first time during the Christmas season? It will be our 5th. We still have not done the MVMCP and will not be doing it this year either. The Saturday and Sunday when you are there they will be taping the "Live" Disney Christmas Day Parade and we can see the MVMCP parade. We have done a lot of other things so please let me know if you have any questions.

Make sure you see the Osbourne Family Christmas Lights it is amazing! We got hot chocolate and some Mickey chocolate covered rice krispie treats right before going and the kids were wowed!

OH! She will love the Wonderland Tea party! I hope you get the good Mad Hatter! :thumbsup2
I have actually heard that some poeple like the DTD BBB better. I have heard they are "nicer" there. But since we haven't been there, I don't know. I think either place would be just fine though. That would be neat if she gets the full package....dress and all. :woohoo:

I think your plans look like fun. There just never seems to be enough time, no matter how long you stay.

Do you know if the orientation at GKTW is always at 3 o'clock on the day you arrive? I've been wanting to make dinner plans for that evening and was scared to do so because I had no idea what time the orientation would be. I wonder how long it takes also, if anyone has an idea.

I'm here (although a month late :sad2: )! Thank you for sharing Juliana's story. Looking forward to sharing in this very special trip with you all. :goodvibes

Ha.

Ha ha.

You're funny, you know that? ;)

Actually, I have three nieces and a fourth on the way, so it's highly possible that at some point, one of those tea parties could be in my future.
Well you will have to go to WDW with your nieces.. You can spoil them and bring them to BBB and CRT. :goodvibes

I'm not quite ready to be a grandma just yet. However, at the rate these two are going, I'll be lucky if either one of them ever even gets serious about a girl. :rotfl:
LOL It will happen when they are ready. :)

Maybe. :confused3

Thanks! I get it now :)
No Problem!

When will you know if you can extend the trip?
Good question! Honestly, I have no idea when we will know. :sad2:

Hopefully we will know sooner than later.

While the Princess Tea party sounds amazing, I actually like the Wonderland better. There just seems something so magical about it being adult free!
I think Melody is disappointed. I think she wanted to do this with Juliana. But I can't help but keep seeing $250... that is expensive.

I think your plans look really good - there is a lot going on there, but not TOO much, it's a bit looser than your previous plans it seems.
Don't worry.... it will change 10 more times before we leave. :rotfl:

The Wonderland Tea looks like so much fun! Plus just slightly cheaper. Juliana is cool with either one?
Yes. Slightly. :rotfl2:

I don't think she knows a difference. She will be happy with either one. I hope she isn't too shy at the Wonderland Tea. Sometimes, she gets shy...

Look like good changes to me. Is your chapter still considering letting you extend, or are you still looking into the airline policy of just changing the flights?
I am going to call our MAW office and see if I can get to the bottom of it. There are flights coming home for $79 right now. I could just book one of those, but I really don't want the tickets MAW bought us go to waste.

Your kids are very cute! Wow. Juliana is only 5 days older than Hannah.

Love your description of Hannah's hair! :rotfl2:

Cool... you will be there the same time as us! Are any of your park days the same as ours? I'd love to stay at the Poly someday. I actually looked to stay there for the 2 nights at the end of this trip (if we are able to extend by 2 days) but I couldn't pay what I've paid for a week in WDW. ;) :goodvibes

If Melody & I don't make it back to Hawaii for our 10 yr anniversary, we joked we would stay at the Poly as an alternative! :rotfl:

I feel like I've been on the phone with Disney every day and I always ask to see if the castle is open in the morning for Juliana's BBB apointment. So far, no dice. :sad2:

I'm going to start calling like crazy about 53 days out! :rotfl2:

Hannah's appt. at BBB is the Sunday before you arrive at 8:30 a.m. before the park even opens. A little pixie dust your way to make that happen...:wizard: However, last year her appt. was in the evening right before dinner on that Sunday. Her hair lasted for 5 days of parks and swimming. I had to remove the weave while she was sleeping because it was starting to look like a nest.
An 8:30 appointment? Walking down Main St. with no one there will be awesome! Time to get some great pictures with an empty Main St.

Can't believe her hair lasted 5 days... that's great!

We have never been during Christmas... we are really looking forward to that. I didn't know that the taping was going on on Saturday. Does that make MK busier? Or does it make just Main St. busier and the rest of the park normal or more empty?

This might factor in where we go on Saturday.... since I was thinking MK. :confused3

Make sure you see the Osbourne Family Christmas Lights it is amazing! We got hot chocolate and some Mickey chocolate covered rice krispie treats right before going and the kids were wowed!

Osbourne lights are on our list of Must-DOs. Wow your pic is great!!!! Seems like a lot of lights! :santa:

Is this the good hatter? LOL

I've still been calling to see if the castle has opened up.... no luck yet. I'm fine with the DTD location though.

I think your plans look like fun. There just never seems to be enough time, no matter how long you stay.
You've got that right! :lmao:

Do you know if the orientation at GKTW is always at 3 o'clock on the day you arrive? I've been wanting to make dinner plans for that evening and was scared to do so because I had no idea what time the orientation would be. I wonder how long it takes also, if anyone has an idea.
I've heard 3pm & 7pm.... but I have also read where some people got to have a special orientation at another time by request. You might want to ask this question on the Wish Trippers thread.

I think orientation takes about 1 hour. :)

I'm here (although a month late :sad2: )! Thank you for sharing Juliana's story. Looking forward to sharing in this very special trip with you all. :goodvibes
:welcome:

Thanks for reading and joining!!!! :goodvibes

I am a lurker and occasional poster on your TR's. I wanted to congratulate you guys on the baby. I just had my second on April 4th (due date was March 30th) and went to Disney last year 5 months pregnant:). It was a fantastic trip!

Congrats on the baby!!! So how was doing Disney 5 months pregnant? Seems like you were there about the same time we are going to be there.... December.

Any tips I should plan into the day? Like emotional time outs or anything like that? :lmao::lmao:

I hope Mel is not reading this!!!! ;)

Oh she is reading... i think? She called me last night to tell me about a MAW trip report she was reading! So if you see my little light on that doesn't always mean that I am on the computer! I've been trying to remember to shut it off when I know I will be off or out but I forget sometimes. :confused3

Any tips I should plan into the day? Like emotional time outs or anything like that? :lmao::lmao:

You are taking two women to Disney World...

I think emotional time outs should already BE in the schedule. :rotfl2: :rotfl:

tee hee....

Thank you - Ellie is almost 5 months now. It has flown by way too fast. We were supposed to go this October, but my boss decided last week that my maternity leave was my vacation this year!!!! We were there mid November last year, right before Thanksgiving. The weather was perfect and my feet never hurt. I did sit a lot while my DH took DD4 on rides, so I think that helped. We were there with good friends (like this last trip of yours). We required two emotional timeouts that trip. For one of them, I snapped big time at my very good friend and I NEVER do anything like that. I am always easy going. It was right in front of the carousel and I stomped off in tears. It was more stress being that I am the planner and the day wasn't turning out how I had planned. My friend made a comment about it and that was all it took. Looking back, we just laugh about it now:hippie:. My DH and friends loved having a designated driver, too:).

If I could have changed one thing, I wish we didn't have every day planned out, maybe just a very few ADR's to make it to. Overall, though, it was a great trip.

I am looking forward to hearing all about Ana's WISH trip.

Compared to you I am not a big planner...obsessed and always looking for ideas and tips and have become an unofficial travel agent to family, friends, and co-workers....Our only plans are as follows:

11/25 Thanksgiving - Flight from Chicago arrives at MCO at 11:30 a.m. No plans this day except for a cocktail at the Poly as soon as we arrive.
11/26 - no plans, but Spectromagic is that night and I need to see it at least once.
11/27 - ADR Chef Mickey's 9:55 a.m....may cancel I am getting tired of being rushed here.
11/28 - BBB @ 8:30 a.m. and praying she chooses the bun - I am in the process of trying to brainwash this decision in her mind and ADR for CRT @ 5:40 p.m.
11/29 - no plans
11/30 - 9:45 a.m. Dolphins in Depth for DD14 (graduation gift) and DH (Father's Day gift - I got a neck massager ) then ADR @ Teppan Edo 6 p.m.
12/1 - no plans
12/2 - ADR Coral Reef @ 6:30 p.m.
12/3 - no plans
12/4 - ADR Le Cellier @6:20 p.m.
12/5 - leave at noon and back to Chicago ( I would pray for a snowstorm, but not at the full price of Poly!)

Why do trips seem so much shorter when you put them in writing??? Our first and last day will always be at the MK...it is my favorite with EPCOT just behind.

If Melody & I don't make it back to Hawaii for our 10 yr anniversary, we joked we would stay at the Poly as an alternative! :rotfl:

We did the Poly for our 15th Anniversary last year and booked this year's on the bounceback offer. However, we are paying full price for the first three nights (Thanksgiving holiday :confused3). I don't know if I will ever be able to go back to a moderate...they may have made me a Deluxe Snob...but I'm sure college tuition prices will bring us back to reality.

Keep trying to see if you can get the Poly under one of their special offers...there is not limiation as to length of stay. I just checked prices on check in on the 8th and out on the 10th, but no Poly available, but BC was $204 a night....:thumbsup2

I feel like I've been on the phone with Disney every day and I always ask to see if the castle is open in the morning for Juliana's BBB apointment. So far, no dice. :sad2:

Don't give up...I would give you mine and take a later time, but the date doesn't work for you. Maybe you could a post out there for someone to give you a heads up if they cancel during your dates???

I'm going to start calling like crazy about 53 days out! :rotfl2:

An 8:30 appointment? Walking down Main St. with no one there will be awesome! Time to get some great pictures with an empty Main St
.

I might have to get creative on a unique photo....:scared1:

Can't believe her hair lasted 5 days... that's great!

Dolly knows how to make a great weave...but it was starting to become a rat's nest....yuck.

We have never been during Christmas... we are really looking forward to that. I didn't know that the taping was going on on Saturday. Does that make MK busier? Or does it make just Main St. busier and the rest of the park normal or more empty?

This might factor in where we go on Saturday.... since I was thinking MK. :confused3

We go to the MK everytime on this day! Don't give up just expect not to get back and forth on Main Street easily.... You will need to go through the stores to get past Main Street and don't try to cut across Main Street...just go through the lands. Thursday and Friday they tape the stage shows (say Beyonce our first year, but nothing good after that) and the parade is Saturday (need a special ticket to be on the right side of the ropes) with a rain date of Sunday. Otherwise, rides are like any typical Saturday.

Osbourne lights are on our list of Must-DOs. Wow your pic is great!!!! Seems like a lot of lights! :santa:[/QUOTE]

I regret last year being our first year seeing this!!! Very magical - it will bring a tear to your eye when Juliana sees it for the first time (okay maybe your wife depending on your emotions and since she is pregnant - maybe a lot of tears).

You are taking two women to Disney World...

I think emotional time outs should already BE in the schedule. :rotfl2: :rotfl:

tee hee....

I am laughing at what this could mean for our trip. :rotfl2:

Tim, you DON'T need any help. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
I know... I get myself into enough trouble all by myself!

Thank you - Ellie is almost 5 months now. It has flown by way too fast. We were supposed to go this October, but my boss decided last week that my maternity leave was my vacation this year!!!!
The time goes by too fast! ::yes::

That was nice of you boss. :sad2: :badpc:

We were there mid November last year, right before Thanksgiving. The weather was perfect and my feet never hurt. I did sit a lot while my DH took DD4 on rides, so I think that helped.
I think Melody might enjoy a few minutes by herself... :scratchin

We were there with good friends (like this last trip of yours). We required two emotional timeouts that trip. For one of them, I snapped big time at my very good friend and I NEVER do anything like that. I am always easy going. It was right in front of the carousel and I stomped off in tears. Looking back, we just laugh about it now:hippie:. My DH and friends loved having a designated driver, too:).
Maybe Mel can 'cash in' her emotional timeouts while Juliana and I are riding the rides? :rolleyes1 :lmao:

I'm glad you can laugh about it now. Even when going with good friends, a few minutes alone works wonders! :)

If I could have changed one thing, I wish we didn't have every day planned out, maybe just a very few ADR's to make it to. Overall, though, it was a great trip.
We (mostly I, LOLOL)like to have our park days planned out so I can book ADR close to where we will be. I like being able to sit down, relax, and have a meal. I think that is the main reason why I plan.

I am looking forward to hearing all about Ana's WISH trip.
Well thank you for joining! :goodvibes
