The Trip Is On!!! Trip report starts on pg. 39

We are bringing clothes pins so we can hang up our clothes in the shower!! I've never been to DL while it rained, so it'll be a different experience.

That is a great idea.

It also wouldn't hurt to get a couple of cheap ponchos from walmart just in case. The disney ones are cute but so expensive.

4 days left? I would be going nuts!

I am!! I keep thinking about everything I need to get done. But, I will be taking a break on that. DH is off for the next few days and when he isn't riding his bike I am going to e spending as much time as I can before I leave.

Four Days!!!

:dance3: :cool1:

I had to laugh, I have been sending an email to D everyday with some trip related note and I didn't yesterday. I figured that she was busy because she is in Arizona for work so I didn't want to bother her. So today I need to make sure that I send her an email today.:rotfl:

Yay only 4 days!!!! You must be getting so excited!! Hopefully the weather stays nice for you.

Thank you!! I am getting real excited!! And I can only hope the weather is nice, right now it is in between good and bad. There was hail a little while ago in San Francisco.

Michele's list of to do's and not to do's.

First the to do's

1. Start organizing the things I need to take that I won't need before I leave.
2. Find my closed in Sketchers. I don't normally wear them but I think they maybe my best choice for closed in shoes, my usual hiking shoes just don't seem Disneylandish all though they are the most comfortable shoes.
3. Make sure that I have plenty of batteries to take.
4. Make lists of anything left that I might need to buy, like batteries if I don't have enough.
5. Get clothes pins out of our camping gear.

No to do's
1. Stop looking at the weather reports. They don't have a clue obviously because every time I look at it it has changed.

I am sure I will add to this later.:goodvibes

I love your No list! Lol.

If you are planning on taking shoes you don't normally wear too often, I would maybe start wearing them a bit now, so your feet get used to them. Walking around in shoes you're not used to might not be very fun after a few hours!

Honestly I have this old beat up pair of Adidas that are as comfortable as sin that I am more than tempted to wear. My Sketchers I have had since 2007, they were the first pair of shoes I bought after my hospital stay, they were what the physical therapist recommended and they are broken in. I just don't wear them much anymore.

Still if it was me I would throw in both. Most esp due to the possibility of rain.
That way if one ends up soaked (and every dryer will be full if this happens as everyone will be drying their shoes & coats) you have a 2nd pair. Due to the rain when we went Colotns tennies were soaked we could not get a dryer at night for days. they traveled home still wet and I washed & dried them when we got home. Thankfully I had packed more than 1 pair.

That is one reason I am tempted to take my hiking shoes, no water gets inside of those. I think that I am just going to suck it up and take those too. In a perfect world the weather will be good and I won't need to wear them.

Edit to my list.....I need to decide if I want to download another book on my Nook before I go. I don't think so but who knows?

Do take them. that was absolutely KEY to us being remotely comfortable in December (aka torrential downpour DL trip). If we didn't have those, we probably wouldn't have left the hotel.

I did.

I figure I will get that cute Mickey poncho and wear my hiking boots/shoes. Frankly my feet will hurt less than in the long run anyway. At this rate I will be taking more pairs of shoes than I normally do.

I always think I'm going to read when I go to DLR, but I never do :confused3

I know, I was thinking that. I also already have a bunch of books I have never read before so I think I can handle it.

Hey you know we have a chatty thread on the community board called Hello too!! if you ever want to join in on that too!!

Heading over there ;)

I got mine out ;).

I looked at two weather websites and they both say TWO different reports. :confused3 For crying out loud!! I give up. On my way to Walmart to buy poncho's.

Can I get a picture of that? Would love to see a woman wearing a mickey poncho with hiking boots?:rotfl:
