What to do the day before going to Disney World when you have the day off work
I could take care of all those errands I wrote in a neat list (when I was pretending to be an organized person last night). I could clean my house. There is just so much that I could do, and nothing that I technically have to do.
So after throwing a few tank tops and some shorts in my suitcase (Im packed! mostly), I figured Id just have a little look at the weather in Orlando this week (not that I needed to- we know the answer. Hot.) Then I just wanted to check the Dis for any interesting tidbits of information. Of course, I ended up poking around on the trip reports board. I finally found what I have to do start a trip report! But before I started writing, I went to see if my old trip report could still be found in the wonder of the Dis, and it can:http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=540918! So I read it. Over an hour has now passed since I started writing this. Congratulations, ladies and gentlemen: you have met the worlds best procrastinator!
If you read my trip report from 2004, well have to get you caught up with the last 3 ½ years. I dont live in Chicago, anymore. I dont still have a boyfriend named Eric. I do still have a friend named Mark. Theres plenty of other changes, too, but those are the relevant ones for now.
That brings us to the cast for this trip (did I mention that we leave tomorrow? I cant believe it):
Joyce- nearly 27 and your rambling narrator.
Ben- nearly 28 and the victim of my love for Disney World.
We planned this trip in May, to take advantage of the free dining promotion. It was reasonably priced, and we found good airfare. So we booked and paid, then moved on with our hectic lives.
I work a lot. At a physically and emotionally demanding job (assistant manager of a very busy animal shelter). Summer is an especially tough time there, so once fall rolls around I am ready for a break!
Ben works a lot too; he just gets to sit down more while hes doing it.
My point here is that the summer has flown by. I didnt have all the time to do countdowns and obsess like I always had in the past. Did I mention that we started buying a house about 2 weeks ago? We should be closing in October, so this is a pretty busy time to suddenly fly away for a week. But its a good thing. Because the trip is already paid for, we can afford it. After the house, we wont be going much of anywhere for a while. But well have a house (how awesome is that?????)
Now, however, I have time to think. And get excited. Because we are going to Disney World in about 19 hours. And I have some work to do to get ready...
Youll hear all about it when we get back.
