Hey...one more thing....

Something occurred to me the other day, yes, I did actually HAVE a thought! Yay for me! Let me know how you feel...

I would love to have some addresses for our family here. Not only would we love to add you all to our Christmas card list, but we would love a way to stay in contact. Maybe some of you feel the same?

I did have most everyone' addresses when you PM'd me for the CMO pins. I kept them for awhile, but then I deleted them feeling like it might be inappropriate for me to hang on to them. So, I would be happy to put together a contact list for anyone who is interested. I'm not sure of the etiquette about this, so if it's a big no no then never mind. Otherwise, you could contact me and give me whatever info you feel comfortable with.
Disname, real name, address, email address, phone.....any and all of it would be completely optional. I don't know, what do you think? Maybe? Maybe not? :confused3
That sounds fun.... I just started with a Christmas card tradition this past year and would love to have more names to add to the list...... and also any other special occasion that might come up! Fun!

Ok.... so in the interest of sharing and with the encouragement from Marshay I'm going to post a few pages of my Disney scrapbook.... it is a work in process as I always add a few pages after recent trips have concluded..... it is pretty basic, but I like it..... so without further ado:

This is the cover:

This is the first page (sorry about the flash, not sure how to get rid of it with the laminate page protectors:

This is from my first trip to WDW with my family in February of 1990, that is my younger brother (no, not Justin, lol) and I in the teacup:

This is from one of the first trips I made down with DH:

Animal Kingdom of course:

DSCN1239.jpg

This picture is a series from the Seven Seas lagoon, we rented the water mice boats and had a great time. I tore the paper to look like waves and placed the pictures of the boats to look like it was actually on the water (not sure if that really comes across in the pic):

DSCN1240.jpg

A page from Mickey's Not So Scray Halloween Party, I was a pirate and DH was an army guy:

DSCN1241.jpg

This page is one of a few from a huge family trip over Spring Break a few years back:

DSCN1242.jpg

So there ya have it...... a few pages from my Disney scrapbook. See that?!?!?! Guys do scrap!!!!

Very, very nice HMF!!!! You did a great job :thumbsup2 and I love your handwriting! I like how you added the "it was all started by a mouse" quote on the first page and added pictures of you and bro from years ago. The waves are great! I just started doing something similiar -- "tearing" a page to form waves or hillls a few months ago. I got a really cool beach dunes page with waves in the background from when we went to the beach. I also used it to make a mountain for our trip to the zoo. (I can see doing Splash or Big Thunder or Space or Everest Mountains using this method too!)

I noticed many of the same stickers and such!! I can't wait to get more at Wal-mart down there.

Yes, guys do scrapbook!! Good for you!!

FYI -- next time take the pages out of the laminate protector to take the picture ;) if you want to avoid the glare. That's what I did for mine...it's a pain but you can see everything better.

Forgot to say ... "when Dino heads attack"

FUNNY!!
We had just gotten off of Dinosaur and my aunt, cousin, and mother were in the gift shop looking at the "make your own necklace" stuff.... so I grabbed on of those Dino-heads (the kind that have the trigger at the bottom so the mouth opens and closes).... I came up behind her and bit my aunt on the arm.... then I kept surprising her with it all around the store. :rotfl:

I should have thought to take the pages out of the laminate.... I was only half way through my coffee, so I wasn't fully thinking yet.

Did we ever figure out which Wal-Mart was the one with all the cool Disney scrapping stuff? Is it the one over near Millenia?

Since we are a little slow this weekend (hope everyone is having good family time and getting lots of work done), here are my latest 2 crafts for our trip.

These are the LGMH (Lime Green Mickey Heads) I made for our stroller and my Baggalini (bag/purse) to identify myself as a DISer. One side says DIS and the other says Marshay.

And here is the Door Sign that I will tape to our BCV room door. The bottom left side is a pocket for folks to get a decorated note card and write a message (I'll attach a pen, too).

I did this last year and got a lot of great messages, including a pin from the Front Desk and a pin from Mousekeeping.

The note says, "Hello Disney Lovers. Write something sweet and fun for us to enjoy. May your dreams come true."

as always, great craftyness! :thumbsup2

I tried another one, but this time I took it out of the laminate protector:

My parents are in the top left panel enjoying some O'hana (not my new parents the Fleagle's mind you)

My father is in the far right panel playing at the Boneyard in Dino-land, he was like a little kid.... going on all the slides and such.

My aunt is on the lower left panel, all she wanted was a picture with Pooh Bear and he can't walking away.

On the lower right is my aunt and I doing a little dancing after doing the Backlout Tour.... she dances with a local dance company for fun and decided to do a little dance outside of the gift shop... and I decided to join her. Take notice Mrs. Fleagle/Amy/Mom!!!! Step ball chain.....

Great pages HMF!! I love seeing everyone's pages! I have that same book. I don't think they sell it anymore? I looked for it last time I was there. Did you get it recently?

I was so pleased to hear from MadBrad today, but now I'm wondering if we need to get TimothytheLurker to stop Lurking and start LOOKING for some of our missing folks!

Hey Timothy - you out there? Are you interested in tracking down some folks? :lmao:

Sorry, been recovering from front row Van Halen in Dallas last Thursday. We were right there with Valerie Bertinelli, who was there to see her son Wolfgang on bass. :hippie:

I was going to ask how it was with him playing in the band. When they came through ATL, I didn't really hear any reviews.

:yay: :yay: YAY!!!! MORE ARTS AND CRAFTS!!! :yay: :yay:

I totally love both the LGMH and the Door Sign!!! Although I won't be carrying a ?? Baggalini ?? with me, I could find many other places to hang the LGMH.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

AnnDisneyFan - It sure does seem that we have a lot of bad luck floating around the Dis-nee Family lately. Boy, we all could use some of Meggin's pixie dust!pixiedust:
I'm really sorry to hear about your pool. I'm glad in the end you were able to look at the situation in a different light. I myself tend to put a price and value on material things that don't really matter. You are absolutely right, it is just a pool. After all, it should be our families and their health that should be what is most important to us! I hope your daughter is OK.

The Orange Brownies really sound great. Since I'm not much of a cook either, you'll have to share some with us when we drop by your neck of the woods on our Virtual Road Trip.

Oh Brad, did you have to say "float?" ;) Our liner still "floating" but now only partially in the pool........partially is good, right?!

Thanks for the thoughts regarding my daughter! That means a lot!

Forgot to say, the crystal method is talked about on page 17-20 of the tie dye thread.

I must stop skimming the posts......thought you were saying something about crystal meth......:scared1:

Ann.... I'm sorry to hear about the pool and hope that your daughter is feeling better soon.

Thanks so much Stephen! Thinking of your mother-in-law too!

Don't forget to wrap them in bacon and deep fry them!!

KigerKat, now THAT is a plan! I am always recruiting for new eating buddies! :lmao:

Ann - I'm also so sorry to hear about your recent troubles. It's great to see that you can still be bright and positive and have such wonderful neighbors around you.

I hope things begin to look up for you soon!

See, you are funny AND sweet.....thank you!

I was so happy to see that Ann posted and couldn't wait to read.......but then I was sad to hear of all your troubles. Big hug Ann! I am really sorry our luck seemed to make a road trip of its own and head to your house. :sad2:
Your attitude is wonderful though, and inspiring.

Thank you Amy! Just like your bug issue though, we can appreciate even more all that we DO have! Loving families, good friends and...and...and A COMPUTER which enables us to stay here on this board!

I would love to have some addresses for our family here.

PMing you.......LOVE the idea Amy!! :thumbsup2

So there ya have it...... a few pages from my Disney scrapbook. See that?!?!?! Guys do scrap!!!!

"Great job!" says the very crafty non-scrapper who used to believe all scrappers were in a cult........and is now rethinking that......cause what cult would cut out waves for a boat picture or put an autograph book on a hotel door for fun......the non-scrapper thinks maybe she should try it sometime

Hi everyone!

We had a fantastic time in Disney and I so enjoyed meeting Justin and David. I am so happy for Justin and I can't wait to go back and catch up a little on the thread.

I got back to work on Thursday and have been playing "catch-up" since then.

Jenn

How could I forget Kenny the Pirate!!!!! I have a pic on my camera of all of us and will post it as soon as I download.

I also got to meet Ricky from Inside the Magic.

I wish I could have stayed longer and "hung out" with everyone.

Welcome back, Jennifer and Timothy!

I'm starting to feel like my life is seriously under-crafted. I was proud of myself when I made cute envelopes for my mousekeeping tips, but
HMF and Marshay are amazing.

Ann - Sorry for the misadventure of your pool, good for you for turning it into sweets and gratitude. And I'm so glad your daughter has an ordinary non-scary malady!
