:earsboy: CONTACT SHEET UPDATE :earsgirl:

After posting my "thought" earlier today we already have 13 disboard family members that want to be added to the contact sheet! Wow...that's exciting...have we even had 13 different people posting lately? That is SO encouraging! Yippee!

So, I'm mostly done, just adding names and addresses as they come in. Remember: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PROVIDE ANY INFO THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO. Some have listed everything, including shirt size, food allergies and their favorite color...ok, just kidding.....but we do have a few who have included birthdays. Some actually would like to send birthday cards...so if you'd like to add your birthday just let me know. (I won't include the year  ) Some included phone numbers....and some not. It is completely up to you! ;)

We are missing a few of the regulars...so not sure if you prefer not to be included or if you just haven't read the post? Either way...no pressure. Also, friends like Meggin, Tripp, KTP, FairyGodMother, Doombuggy, Posetopose, and KDunkin haven't been on in awhile. (anyone else I may have forgotten?) If anyone knows them or can contact them "outside" the board I know we'd love to add them to this list...if they want..... they were all such a part of this from the beginning.

So, how about if we give it through the weekend to get your info in? I'll keep updating as we go and then send everyone a copy once it's all finished. Sound good? :upsidedow

Oh, and on a side note: We had some very severe weather here this afternoon. Tornado's hit in Suffolk, Virginia which is about 40 miles from our house. We were well away from the tornado but had some NASTY storms... I do have many relatives in Suffolk in the actual neighborhood...but all are safe. Just wanted to pass that on in case anyone watched the news at all. The Fleagles are safe and sound and snug as a bug in a rug...oh wait....not bugs again. :scared1: Let's just say we're fine and dandy, just like candy!

-Have a great night everyone!
Good to hear that you are all safe and sound.

Ok.... so I'm going to do something really gay.... not only am I posting photos of scrapbooks pages that I've done... but they are pages from a Madonna scrapbook I did when my best friend and I saw her in concert two summers ago.

This is the cover page.... I tried to make it look like a 3D disco ball:

This is the first two pages, the guy with the goatee is Madonna's manager Guy Oseary, he hung us with us for about 20 minutes... it was awesome:

This is a close up of that page... we had amazing seats, we were right next to the stage. At one point during the second song Madonna actually stopped, squatted down, and sang right to me:

I put mirrored pieces on the pages to make it look like a disco ball had exploded onto the pages:

Here are a few more.... I was so excited that we were able to bring cameras and take pictures, we took all of the pictures on the pages... so that gives you an idea how close we were:

HMF -- How "happy" that book is !!! :rotfl:

Seriously, that was fun to look at. I've never been to a Madonna concert but I'm sure it was entertaining!;)

Forgot to say, the mirror pieces and front cover mirror ball are super-creative ideas!

Hey...one more thing....

Something occurred to me the other day, yes, I did actually HAVE a thought! Yay for me! Let me know how you feel...

I would love to have some addresses for our family here. Not only would we love to add you all to our Christmas card list, but we would love a way to stay in contact. Maybe some of you feel the same?

I did have most everyone's addresses when you PM'd me for the CMO pins. I kept them for awhile, but then I deleted them feeling like it might be inappropriate for me to hang on to them. So, I would be happy to put together a contact list for anyone who is interested. I'm not sure of the etiquette about this, so if it's a big no no then never mind. Otherwise, you could contact me and give me whatever info you feel comfortable with.
Disname, real name, address, email address, phone.....any and all of it would be completely optional. I don't know, what do you think? Maybe? Maybe not? :confused3

Hey Mrs. F, this is a great idea. Look for a PM from me with all of my info.

How could I forget Kenny the Pirate!!!!! I have a pic on my camera of all of us and will post it as soon as I download.

I also got to meet Ricky from Inside the Magic.

I wish I could have stayed longer and "hung out" with everyone.

Jennifer, KigerKat, BTM – have any of you heard from Tripp? I know he is extremely disappointed with the outcome of the CMO contest and he’ll need some time to heal. We really do miss him. If any of you get a chance to talk to him, be sure to tell him we’d like to hear from him. To repeat what someone said several posts back, it’s too bad we can’t have co-CMO’s.

Jennifer – It’s good to hear you were able to enjoy your “business” trip to WDW. Where are the pictures?

Ha! I still can't believe we're working on a name for our FOURTH thread!

I'm honored - and flattered - by the suggestions, but I'm not sure I can stand up to the pressure of having it named after me!

I will suggest - if I may be so bold - that we could use one of my CMO words in the title if you want. Something like 'The Adventurosity Club' (sort of a take on the Adventurer's Club on Pleasure Island) or possibly 'Possivisionouragists 'r Us' since you are all some of the most positive, creative and encouraging people I know!

Just a thought . . . I'll leave the actual decision in the hands of thos who are significantly more qualified than me! (that would be you guys!)

Actually Justin, if you count We Be Trippin': The Great DIS-nee Road Trip we are already on our 4th thread, page 16 to be exact. And, in case you haven't noticed, YOU are next as soon as 3g&g finishes up with his version of O'Canada.

***UPDATE - UPDATE - UPDATE***

:yay: The concrete around the pool was poured yesterday!!! :yay:

As soon as it sets, and we get the pool itself painted and filled, I will be posting pictures.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh Brad, did you have to say "float?" ;) Our liner still "floating" but now only partially in the pool........partially is good, right?!

Thanks for the thoughts regarding my daughter! That means a lot!

Sorry Ann, that was a bad choice of words.

"Great job!" says the very crafty non-scrapper who used to believe all scrappers were in a cult........and is now rethinking that......cause what cult would cut out waves for a boat picture or put an autograph book on a hotel door for fun......the non-scrapper thinks maybe she should try it sometime

Don't worry Ann. You're not the only one. I think Marshay has used her powers to get old Grumpy here into :rotfl: Scrapin:rotfl:

Ann, still sorry to hear about the pool! I don't know if I can make the Orange Brownies. I'm not really that good at cooking. I am known for making one mean banana split!

   :banana:   :banana:   :banana:   :banana:

I'm so glad to hear the Fleagles made it thru the storm unscathed!!

Speaking of bugs, I was looking around the garage for an empty bucket the other day and what do I find?

:scared1: A BLACK WIDOW :scared1:

It wasn't just a small black widow. That sucker was huge!!! It was at least the size of a quarter. The thing is, it's not the 1st time I've found them. Last summer, I found at least 4 outside the house.

I think it should be a non-official duty of the CMO to name our next thread!

I can't handle spiders! I'm a typical scaredy-cat when it comes to bugs...especially spiders! Glad you found them....I'd hate for the kids to come across them!

Glad your pool is on the mend.....guess I'll have to look for a virtual bathing suit now?

I like the Adventurosity Club.... :)

AND I hope we will see the mugs of those not on before!! You all saw sixty seconds of my video (and the handsome one on youtube from last year's contest) (type jungle cruise audition) (OK, so I look better from a distance)

But its is not FAIR to us with a video not to get to see the ones without a video. And Amy, please, do not post a pic in your Wonder Woman costume, my heart couldn't take it, kick, shuffle, heart attack!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Very funny Mr. Autopia! No need to worry about the picture in the Wonder Woman costume......seriously, I'm 40. Sadly those days are gone! But I'll find a safe picture for you...don't you worry! ;)

So as I finalize my schedule, I thought I'd list some highlights or new things for me and ask for suggestions/hints. If you've done any of these before, let me know the good, bad and the ugly!

- Terrace Noodle Station/MK
- Minnie's Butterfly Garden
- Peter Pan's Neverland Garden
- Pluto's Play Zone
- Coral Reef/Epcot
- Grand Floridian Cafe/GF
- Spoodles/Boardwalk
- Yak & Yeti (Counterservice)/AK
- Hollywood and Dine (lunch)/DHS
- Mickey's Pirate and Princess Party
- Ft. Wilderness Segway Tour

- San Angel Inn/Epcot

'Ya know: I don't think I've ever been in the Magic Kingdom when the Terrace Noodle Station has been open-- unless hot chocolate and cookies (during MVMCP) count. (It's typically reserved for the busier seasons.)

It has received favorable reviews, though:
(Note: The reviews are a few years old.)

*Reviews from AllEars.Net (mostly positive)

Thanks for the cross-promotion of our DIS-nee Family Road Trip! :thumbsup2

FYI: As an act of mercy, I've removed Justin from our itinerary, so it looks like we'll just wave from the Party Bus windows as we cruise through his city! :wave2: 'Seems he's a bit slammed right now. .... Although I can't imagine why! ;)

Hey, HMFan: I'm totally digging your scrapbook pages! :thumbsup2

My deal: I have the supplies and the inclination, but every time I gather for a scrapbooking event, I wind up paging through books and magazines for inspiration instead of actually cropping. 'Guess I find all of the stellar, creative examples a bit intimidating, and I know that -- once the pictures are stuck on the page -- it's permanent!

'Guess I should "Just do it!," huh??

Hi everyone! Looks like I found some of the "Fleagle" luck too!

Yesterday was just great......kids were swimming in our pool (chilly but beautiful)......I was even thinking about the people on this board and the challenges being faced........talked to my husband about it all and just took in our fortunate moment.

Then the rain came and came and came and came. Six inches of rain in a matter of a couple of hours. Drought schmout!

We came home after playing wicked rounds of Euchre with some life-long friends. In fact, due to the extensive rain, we drove an elderly couple home to make sure they got home safely.

Checked on my pool when we got home, and the liner was FLOATING IN THE POOL! FLOATING IN THE POOL!!! I was heartsick.

Got up this morning to what looked like a swamp and just was lost. That said, I also turned to my husband and said, this is not a terminal illness. This is simply a pool. Yes, I was and am completely bummed, but as we had neighbors here helping us with pumps and all......my next door neighbors also stopped by.

These neighbors have just lost their home. Foreclosure. Can I tell you how horrible it felt to see them in my backyard and offering ME support?! We have tried everyway we could to save their home for them but it still felt so wrong. Again, perspective really helps ground us.

Also, this week my daughter's lymph node was enlarged and painful to the touch.....googling is both a blessing and a curse.........it was on my mind and I was going to take her in on Monday if it didn't go down.....it did go down today! So see, the perspective was wonderful. I cried as I told my kids that the pool is just a pool and Karen's lymph node meant so much more to me than any pool!

Kinda puts a hold on our plans to build on to the house. We were going to add a bathroom with a shower and doors to the living room so there would be a bedroom on the first floor. I wanted to add this for my parents if they ever need to come here and stay with us.

But I just baked brownies and orange bars (Paula Deen's OH MY!) for the people who helped and realized although my luck was definitely not good today......it was an awesome day! A few good friends here to help, an awards ceremony for my children who BOTH won a state writing award and we took my parents and family out to eat afterwards!

And I talked about all of YOU too at dinner! The board, the contest, the winner (Yay Justin) and all of it! Oh, and my sister just got back from Disney World and gave me a Mickey pancake mold and Mickey ice cube tray.

So pool party at my house.....just not today, okay?

Ick! ('Sorry to hear about your recent stress, Ann!)

Kudos to you, though, for your healthy, positive outlook! :thumbsup2

I'm with madbrad: Although I know (cognitively) what's important, it becomes all-too-easy for me to lose perspective! Thanks for the reminder! ::yes::
