Well, just a quick recap of the past 48 hours at the Fleagle house.

Eric thought his computer was stolen out of his car.
My van had a nail in the tire and we are going out of town today so we had to get it fixed quickly.
Dawson kept complaining of his head and tummy hurting and had a fever. Still don't know what was wrong.
Went to work Tuesday, (one of my teachers was away this week at a funeral so I had both dance rooms to run) and there were "bugs" crawling all over the floating hardwood dancefloor? Gross!
Air conditioning broke in the other dance room which was very hot as the weather outside was 82º....inside much hotter!
Elizabeth had been complaining of what we thought was a bladder infection.
Took her to the doctor and she had to stay home from school Thursday. Seems she can't tollerate Bubble Baths.
Came home and thought I would be nice and clean out Eric's car while mine was having the nail fixed and noticed a swarm....yes a swarm.... of black bugs all over our garage. Oh my, these bugs look familiar....yes the same kind that were at the dance studio.
Eric had to rush home from work to figure out what kind of bugs they were. Yep, termites.
He goes outside to check under the house and walks back up on the deck and tries to open the back door. The handle literally broke off in his hand. Just pullled right off the door....which had to be removed....and now we need to buy another one.
Yesterday we were waiting for the termite guy to come and check our house and I hear a loud bang. Dawson was clunking around in his big brother's size 9 1/2 shoes and tripped. Smacked his face on the corner of the kitchen island and not only busted his lip and bruised his cheek pretty good, but oh, a tooth is broken too! Emergency visit to the dentist.
Call Eric from work because the termite guy was supposed to be there between 4 -5. It was 3:30 when this happened. So, Eric flies home (not literally, but drove quickly) We scramble to the dentists office, then had to pick up my van before they closed and got home at 5:00 just in time for the termite guy to get there and tell us that thankfully no house damage is done, but it still needs to be treated. $1,100.00 Great....because we just love spending our tax refund every year to broken heaters and airconditioners, and now termite treatments.

Fabulous.

So, there in a nutshell is that infamous Fleagle luck at work.

Off to drive 2 1/2 hours for a 1 hour soccer match and then drive 2 1/2 hours back. Catch you all later!

Amy, after reading this post, I don't even know what to say! I kept saying, surely there won't be more and then the next sentence was something worse. I kept wondering what the black bugs were (thinking "la cucaracha") which is so creepy to me but not expensive to deal with. When I read "termites" my heart just sunk for you. I'm so sorry that you are having to deal with all of this. I hope that your trip today is uneventful and that you can just enjoy the scenery and and spring weather for 2 1/2 hours each way. I'll be thinking of you today!

Suz

Oh no mom! That just.... well..... it just sucks.

MadBrad - Nice pool! And it looks like you really were working instead of working! Just thought I would ask if you are thinking of Patterned concrete? Our friends did it around their pool and it looks FABULOUS!

Fleagles - I cant send enough pixie dust to express my grief for you! Just remember..."Theres a great big beautiful TOMORROW...."
Oh...and the odour....yep, that would do it!
Cauliflower AND broccolli mixed with dog food....mmmmmmmmm

Hello everyone else!

The bus is arriving at the border shortly......

MadBrad -- cool pool!! Please show us pics when it's done

Mrs. Fleagle -- I really don't know what to say...what horrible luck...hopefully you are done for a bit and will have something fantabulous happen this weekend!

Hello!

I feel like every time I come on here I'm apologizing for something! This time, it's because I WAY underestimated how much work I had to catch up on - so I haven't been able to visit since my initial "thank you" post. It looks like I need to get caught up on the new "we be trippin'" thread as well.

Now it's time for me to surf back a few pages (more like a few dozen pages!) and try to figure out what is going on in everyone's lives these days!

Thanks again for everything!

Just back tracked and saw this. WOW...that's about all I can say...WOW!

I only had the transmission ($2500) and Uncle Sam keeping my refund and my son's busted head. You got a few on me this week. I hope it all works out for you in the long run. :)

Come on everyone...:grouphug: for the Fleagles.

Okay, time for a ridiculously long post! Hang in there with me!

And, did you all wonder if they knew ahead of time? They didn't appear to be on the edge of their seats waiting for the name to be announced......did anyone else think that?

We didn't know ahead of time. They wanted to see genuine surprise. I think we were all just trying so hard to look "cool" while we waited! I for one kept waivering between trying not faint and trying not to throw up!

Those votes though! Wow! Justin did a great job of having other "boards" believing in him too....MousePlanet for one.......it was strange seeing another board "know" Justin like we do!

Yeah, it really was a joint effort! I love connecting with Disney fans anywhere I can, but it is safe to say NO ONE knows me the way you guys do! I've spent a lot more time here and feel more connected to this community than I can possibly explain!

He is such a great guy and very deserving of this! LOVED reading that Disney felt that way too!

Thank you so much! That is too sweet!

I'm so proud of Justin, and I know he will make the best CMO ever!

Yay, Justin!

That means SO much coming from you, Cat! You were there with me for so much of the ride and if you've seen me and my family first hand and you're still on my side then that's saying something!

Thank you SO much for your support and friendship!

I had given my older students incentives to vote for Justin.... and one of them came in last night and was so upset and said, "Mrs. Amy, I had to go out of town over the weekend and I only got to vote for Justin 125 times." Now, how awesome was that? First, she VOTED 125 times for someone she didn't know at all, but just because I asked her to. AND, she was upset that she ONLY got 125 votes in? That's A LOT of votes!
Anyway, it looks like all those little extras across the country may have helped with those tallies! Congrats again Justin!

See what our passion for Disney and our support of one another can do? It can help make dreams come true. And if our own dreams don't quite happen, then it can be enough that we in some small way helped a friend realize their dream.

That is such a sweet story. I love hearing those. Thank you so much for posting that! Please tell her that I appreciate every single one of those votes and that she may have been the one to push me over the top!

You're absolutely right, though. Our passion, compassion, and support for one another can make dreams come true everyday. You are all part of "The Year of a Million Dreams" and I am living proof that you can change the world!

CONGRATULATIONS JUSTIN!!!!!

MARSHAY TOLD ME YOU WON!!!!!!

SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Thank you!!!!

Thanks girl....:goodvibes

When do they get back? Or does Justin start work immediately?

I got back LATE Wednesday night and had to jump back into my "real" job right away. I've been swamped trying to get caught up while unpacking, connecting with friends and family all over the place, and keeping in touch with my new Disney friends. Tripp, David, and I have also kept in touch by email already and that is a wonderful blessing.

My first assignment does start in just a few weeks though! I'll be down in WDW in mid-May and I'll be sure to keep you all informed!

yeah Justin!!! I'm so happy you posted here -- we wanted to know that our CMO made it home safely!!

We cannot wait to hear everything you're willing to share with us!!!

Thanks Marsha! It's not a question of what I'm willing to share - just of what I can share! I will answer any questions I can and I'll be sure to keep you informed on the special trips and events that I have the chance to be a part of!

Welcome back, Justin! (And -- again -- congrats!)

This week has been a bit of a whirlwind for you, huh?

Yeah, a bit! But it is all so amazingly worth it and you won't hear me complaining!

JUSTIN

Yay, you made it home safely! You must be physically, emotionally, and mentally completely drained! Everything you've been through the past few months have paid off.....but I bet you'd love a vacation where you and Darrah can just sit in the sun and relax. Breathe in the warm air and take a big exhale! Ahhh......if only there was any rest for the weary, right?

I can't say Congratulations enough...We are truly happy for you.
So happy your dreams came true!

Amy

Thank you so much! Your support and compassion mean the world to me!

Yaaaaaaay!!!!! My little brother is home!!!! Congrats Justin..... we missed having you around here!

Thanks HMF!!! Did you save me any pancakes??

:drinking1 I'm just drinking my diet coke and greeting the day.

Justin, welcome back!! Loved the news clip. I'm so proud of all you've accomplished. 200,000 votes?!?!?! That's absolutely amazing.

Amy, you never cease to amaze me with your thoughtfulness. A gift bag for Justin. I hope that you know how much your kindness touches other people.

Meggin, if you are lurking, we miss you! MMMMM, giant Mrs. F's cookie. Tasty!

They are WONDERFUL examples of people who genuinely care about those around them. We are so lucky to have them as a part of our extended family, aren't we??!! HOwever, you are ALL that special and important to me as well! Your thoughts, prayers, notes, and support filled me up with a warmth that I can't even describe!

Congrats Justin! You are an inspiration for all of us here! :thumbsup2

I think I speak for everyone when I say, Your DIS family is proud of you!

Thank you SO much! It is great to know I made you proud! You have each been inspirational to ME in your own way as well!

Justin's back!!!!!

And cherbear and everyone are so right--it's so inspiring to actually get to see someone's dream come true! We are so so proud of you Justin! And just so excited for you! Seeing your name unveiled on that giant Disney nametag was truly priceless! I'll never forget it! :goodvibes

I also can't wait to see dreams come true for everyone here! We've got real proof that it does happen!!! :yay:

Thanks for the bananas!!! And YES, we do have real proof that dreams come true... a little faith, trust, and pixie dust can go a long way! BUt it sure doesn't hurt to have friends like all of YOU!!!

Welcome home!!!!!

Congrats again!!!

Can you explain what you three were sorting on the stroller challenge? I watched video, but could not figure it out

Thanks:goodvibes

Thanks!

Yeah, that one didn't translate as well to video as they may have liked. We each had 5 strollers. There were name tags on them with a last name and each was printed in a different color (i.e. Smith was green, Ramirez was purple, Yamamoto was brown, etc. etc.). In the strollers were several pieces of merchandise (plush animals, mouse ears, bags, water bottles, cameras, etc., etc.) and there was one item of each color. We had to sort the items by color into the stroller with the matching name tag and then put the strollers in alphabetical order.

Did that make any more sense than the video?

Yes, that makes a lot more sense.

I thought maybe the strollers were labled boy and girl and you were sorting stuff by gender..

thanks for explaining that:goodvibes

Justin!

I've missed you - it seems like forever! But I can't imagine how much you've had to catch up on! Glad you could pop in...

That is SO cool - you get to go back in mid-May? Wow, I bet I know why!!!!!! I wonder if it has anything to do with a new attraction opening? Hmmmmm......;)

I hope you know you have me even more hooked than I was before - and it's YOU, not Disney! CalDisney and I are already trying to figure out if I can be out at Disneyland in October for your spin at the Halloween festivities! Okay, it's mainly You, still part Disney! :lmao:

Hope you can get a little rest this weekend - at least a nap!

Thanks again for an amazing adventure, and for including me in your family. Hugs to all from Aunt Cathie!

Yeah! I'm so excited that we get to continue living the dream through you!!

And I can't believe I'll miss your mid-May trip but I think HMF will be there then!!! What terrific fun that you guys probably will be able to meet up!

(But if you happen to be in WDW May 3-12, please let me know!!! I'd love to meet you and see you give dreams to WDW guests!!)

Welcome back Madbrad and Justin! Great to see you both!

Hope everyone is having a great day! It's beautiful here in Oklahoma...certainly not in the same way as Anaheim or Orlando...but still very nice!

So after all that voting, Mickey was ready for a day out in the sun! So we headed over to OU to see what was blooming!

He was excited to see so much red! One of his favorite colors!

He even found a small pathway in the shade that he led us through...

And then he found some friends to play follow the leader with...
