So tons of good news coming out of Taunton this evening!
All of the test results are back on my mother in-law.... the cancer hasn't spread anywhere, so they started here on chemo treatments today! The oncologists was concerned because of other symptoms that it might have spread to other areas... but she got the all clear.
And the other good news is.... I finally got a job!!! About time also.... this unemployment thing was killing me. So I'll be able to put my nursing assistant license to some good use.... I got a day shift at a nursing home very close to the house (which is nice considering the price of gas) and orientation is next Wednesday!
Yaaaaay!!!!!
Amen to that!
HELLO! I'm sorry I've been out of touch, but things have been pretty crazy (and the laptop that we had in WDW went home a day early with my wife and sister-in-law!) I just got home tonight and wanted to pop on here quickly before I crash!
Thank you so much for the support, encouragement, votes, and congratulations! Please, please, please understand that for me, you are ALL a part of the Dream Squad. You cared enough to vote - but not just vote. You connected with us, you shared laughs and stories with us, and you invested yourselves emotionally in something from which you didn't stand to gain anything. You cared about me. And, because of that, I have had more dreams than I could ever imagine fulfilled.
Thank you!
It is 1:15 in the morning here and I need to get some sleep. I have SO much to do at work these next few days to dig out after the week off. Regardless, I'll try to pop on here when it's a little more active tomorrow so that I can answer the PM's and personally thank as many of you as possible!
Oh - - - also, if you go to www.kdka.com and enter "Muchoney" in the search box, you can see a clip of some neat news coverage. My church threw a breakfast party on Tuesday and the local news station sent a reporter out live to cover the party and the announcement!
Okay, so for now, please let me say again . . . THANK YOU!
Tripp and David (as I said before) are awesome guys. They are incredible people and I am so fortunate to have shared this experience with them. Cathie was magnificent! The support she showed was beyond anything I could imagine - thank you! The Fleagles deserve a special thanks (not just for the votes from the dancers!) but also for taking the time to send a gift bag to the hotel room while I was there. Meggin sent an enormous Mrs. Fields cookie on Tuesday to say congratulations. I know there are dozens of people I can't possibly mention by name tonight (sorry!) who played a huge role in this. Everyone here is incredible and I hope you can see how wonderful our world can be when we all invest ourselves in the lives and dreams of those around us. When you really care about other people, truly anything is possible!!!
Thanks again! I'll see you all tomorrow at some point!!!!
We all said it before and we'll say it again, your personality and sense of humor will certainly be an asset to your career. Laughter is such wonderful medicine and I can only imagine how many smiles and laughs you will bring to those patients!
JUSTIN
Yay, you made it home safely! You must be physically, emotionally, and mentally completely drained! Everything you've been through the past few months have paid off.....but I bet you'd love a vacation where you and Darrah can just sit in the sun and relax. Breathe in the warm air and take a big exhale! Ahhh......if only there was any rest for the weary, right?

I think I speak for everyone when I say, Your DIS family is proud of you!
Thanks for posting this one Wendy!
I looked at it and some of the past ones I had missed. I'm sure you guys probably saw it, but just in case, another one of the blogs posted this link to the Laughing Place, with more pics of some of the CMO happenings!

Speaking of KTP...anyone heard from him? Do you think he's still at WDW and that's why he's been so quiet?
Maybe he has annual passes, and he got that really great passholder rate that I did!
Just popping in for three notes:
1. Congratulations Justin! I'm really happy for you. I think the happiest person at our house is 5 year old Lizzy who accounted for at least 200 of your 200 thousand votes. I hope you have a wonderful year!
2. On a personal note, Amy mentioned that I'm starting something business-wise to help our college funds. One of the temporary side effects is that erickidwell.net is going to go dark for a bit. So... if you are using any of your DIScademy awards or any other images off of the site, you need to copy them and paste them somewhere else as they may not be available from my site starting Monday.
3. I think you are all wonderful. I'm sorry that I haven't been here much, but I'm busy planning my next spectacular failure. (I hope that's a joke)
