HI all!

NExt February, I have a close friend who is going to the world for the first time with her two children (7 & 5) and her DH.

She asked me to put together my "top ten" of things not to miss.

So......this has me thinking......

If you were helping a, pardon the expression, Disney Virgin, plan her trip....what would YOU tell her not to miss?

Here is my list, in no particular order:

1. Philharmagic
2. Hoop Dee Do

6. Tusker House brunch complete with Safari
7. Kim Possible (for the kids of course)
8. The Jungle Cruise (just for the cheese factor)
9. Pirates
10. Toy Story Mania

I would love to hear yours and some reasoning!

These our my favorties and things we tend not to miss....

Thanx!

Kristin

1. Monorail..........there's nothing quite like catching your first glimpse of Magic Kingdom while travelling on the Monorail.
2. Classic "Walt" attractions......Small World, Carousel of Progress, Pirates of the Caribbean.
3. Haunted Mansion..........a little biased, my favorite attraction.
4. Soarin'.........technology at its best.
5. Toy Story Mania........you can't help buy have fun on this one.
6. Tower of Terror.......classic Disney storytelling.
7. Parades and Fireworks.........you really can't go wrong with either one but I would rank Wishes and Fantasmic as my favorites.
8. Character meal..........gotta try it at least once.
9. Festival of the Lion King......great show, great music, great audience participation.
10. Kilimanjaro Safaris......a different attraction everytime. You don't realize you're in a theme park.

Honorable Mention....Tomorrowland Transit Authority.....I just love this one.

I could list a top 20 but that's probably how I'd rank my top 10.

I have girls those ages - so here's my list based on those ages, in no particular order

1. Soarin'
2. Wishes - see Tink fly!
3. Toy Story Mania
4. Splash Mountain
5. Haunted Mansion
6. Big Thunder Mountain
7. Peter Pan
8. One character meal - we like princesses at Akershus or CRT - but whatever her kids would like
9. Spaceship Earth
10. Monorail

My older two are also of similar ages...I'd say...

1 - the monorail. It's definitely an attraction in and of itself!
2. Chef Mickey's. It's a tradition for us, and one of the best character interactions we have every trip.
3. Toy Story Mania - just all around fun!
4. An afternoon/morning at the pool. The kids need some down time!
5. Once Upon a Toy...my kids could spend hours in there
6. Goofy's Candy Store - their eyes pop out of their heads as they're browsing. :goodvibes
7. It's a Small World. My oldest (now 8) still talks about it - she about freaked out when we were talking about the Fantasyland expansion and thought it was going to be torn down. At least once, it's a classic!
8. Getting an ice cream treat and strolling down Main Street
9. Soarin - something the whole family can do
10. The Muppets 3D. I'm a Muppets fan, so I love it. But my kids weren't (until last trip), and they still laughed out loud. A very kid-friendly introduction to the 3-D attractions.

Just my opinions, of course.... ;)

I'm gonna just focus on attractions, because otherwise forget it! I don't know if I could list just 10!

These are in no particular order:

1. Toy Story Mania
2. Tower of Terror
3. Expedition Everest
4. Splash Mountain
5. Thunder Mountain
6. Carousel of Progress
7. Pirates
8. Space Mountain
9. Spaceship Earth
10. Test Track

That was harder than I even thought it would be! I had to leave out some of my favorites!
