1. Las Vegas
2. Iowa State Fair
3. Times Square New York City
4. Cedar Point Amusement Park

10. Telluride, Colo.

What is missing from this list?

I just finished reading the article, too, and it sure didn't jibe with my favs! How on earth can you ignore WDW?

PS With all due respect to Iowans...the Iowa State Fair beat WDW?????? Does anyone know how they arrived at these destinations?

Now, I love Provincetown...I really do. But is it a terrific, fun place? I think not. How could you possible rank it and not WDW?

I think this is not a "Top Ten", but rather a list of 10 places people go to have fun. USA Today spotlights various themes in their travel section. Sometimes it's National Parks, outdoor fun, etc.

Know WDW should be #1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!::yes:: :wave2:

yes , something must be wrong with that list.
Why would anyone who was not from Iowa go to their state fair????
I mean if they are this must be one heck of a state fair and I need to get more info !!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc
Actually qite a funny list. I got a good laugh!!:rotfl:

The Travel Channel says WDW is the most visited travel destination in the world. Hmm...wonder what their criteria was.

I live at #6. Tourons(figure it out on your own) have already invaded our community.

Well they obviously didn't poll any of us.

There is no way WDW would not make a top 10 list. In fact I would be suprised if on a top ten list it wasn't always considered number 1!

WDW is #1 in this household and we are only about 1 hr from Cedar Point. My son who is a Cedar Point/roller coaster fanatic still likes WDW better.

I live in Iowa. We go to the State Fair every single year. Sometimes we go three times. Our favorite activity is to see the Best Bagger Competition (that is a contest for bagging groceries). Now that I sound really pathetic, I'll tell you that my DH works for a grocery store.

We really enjoy the fair. There is great entertainment, great food, and we always have fun. The Iowa State Fair is said to be one of the best. People travel from all over to visit our fair. It is a tradition in our house to go to the fair every year.

Now with that said, give the the choice of the butter cow or Mickey, and I'll pick Mickey any day of the week. And, as flattered as I am to see the Iowa State Fair made the list(not that I run the fair or anything) , I find it hard to believe that people would have more fun doing that then spending a day at Magic Kingdom.

I'd really like to know the criteria used for some of those choices-- because I found myself going "really" 7 times!!! I mean of all Americans-- Iowa State Fair?????

That was my reaction too.

must be a HUGE mistake there! WDW is in the dictionary under the word FUN!!! :)

There has to be some reason WDW wasn't on the list... Doesn't make sense otherwise!

Looks as thou everyone's response was just like mine, where is WDW on the list? This is why I started the thread.

Look on the bright side. Now all these people will want to go to these places which makes more room for us Disney nuts!!

Although the poll does seem confusing. Come to think of it, I read about a lot of polls and I personally have never been polled nor do I know anyone that ever has.

Could have been a focus group of like 50
