I am looking to purchase points at BLT. Is one of these companies more reputable than the other? The Timeshare Store appears to have points averaging $100/pt while SellMyTimeshareNow.com has some at $90/pt.

Does anyone have any experience purchasing with one or the other company? Is there anything I need to 'be on the lookout' for?

I appreciate your help!

TSS is a sponsor of these boards and is known for good service. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

There have been several not-so-great reports from people who have used (or tried to use) SellMyTimeshareNow.com. They charge sellers a fee to list and require buyers to put down an unusually large deposit. Do a search for more info and specific experiences.

IMO, only someone who knows exactly how the DVC resale process works (and is willing to be a persistent nag) should attempt to work with SellMyTimeshareNow.com. YMMV.

I wasted about a month dealing with SellMyTimeshareNow and I strongly advise you to stay away. It was obvious they did not know DVC resales. I did end up buying a contract from another reputable agency and was very happy with the process. Even though I did not buy from the Timeshare store, I found them to be very knowledgable and I would not hesitate to use them if I were to purchase another contract.

I bought 3 contracts last spring. In the process I had extensive conversations with SellMyTimeshareNow. I decided that I might be able to bulldoze my way through the transaction, but I felt I could never trust them with the deposit. They wanted large deposits and their closing costs were way high and out of line with the others. I've been a Real Estate agent for 25 years, so I have some experience. Buy through a reputable experienced firm.

Please, please, please avoid sell my timesharenow.com. They are a huge rip off, they lie and they mis-represent themselves. I know....I got totally ripped off.

I have no experience with sell my timesharenow.com, so can't comment on them.

However, I have purchased from both TSS and Fidelity and both companies were great to deal with. And as someone else said, just because a BLT is listed at $100, does not mean that you can't offer $90!
