Wow time has flown since I decided to go on holidays...I am leaving for my first ever international trip tomorrow morning and I'm doing it solo. I am so excited, so nervous, happy, scared, a million emotions are running through me. I'm really looking forward to the holiday part but haven't been on a plane in over ten years, and didn't have a great reaction to it then  lol
My bags are packed, I just need to add a few little things to my handbag...like tickets and passport lol and I am all set. I have 4 flights tomorrow starting at 6.45am.

Does anyone have any last min advice on anything (and everything lol)?

I think I need to take big deep breaths

Hi Snickals,

Wishing you a fantastic time. Think about all the fantastic things you have planned for your trip. As they say getting there is part of the fun! A far as the plane goes, there is so much entertainment on board these days to keep you distracted. By the time you have watched a few movies, had some food and a snooze, you will nearly be at your destination. I find the bigger planes easier to fly in. I don't like turbulence and I find the bigger planes much smoother. Let the hostess know of your concerns, they will look after you. Be safe and have an amazing time. An aussie accent will gain you many friends!

Relax, take it easy. Take lots of photos...especially food porn (anyone else sick of seeing me type this yet?? :rotfl2:). We'll be here waiting for the trippie.

Just remember - if you really love it, there won't be a later. So buy it when you can.

Thanks
It's actually the little plane going from my small town to Brisbane that is worrying me the most, last time I went on it it sounded and felt like it was going to fall apart in the sky lol I've heard the bigger planes are better to fly in though...I guess by the time I get to the international flight I should (hopefully) be used to it.

Of course I'll still come to the boards. When I get back I'll have to start planning my next trip there :rotfl:

Have fun, you are so brave to go on your own! But i guess you dont have to worry about pleasing anyone else!

I'm guessing that right now you are sitting on the plane getting ready to take off - how very exciting! I hope you have a smooth trip (I hate flying too) and that you have many adventures during your holiday. Have a safe trip and most of all, enjoy! :cool1:

Travelling alone is great fun and the single best way to meet new people. I am travelling alone at the moment and loving it. You will have so much fun

This is probably a bit late...but safe travels and have a fantastic time. Go with the flow and just take in the magic!

A big late as you have left already. But have a wonderful trip :wizard:

Your first OS trip, just so exciting. I am sure you will be having such an awesome time.

Looking forward to hearing all about it when you get back.

Thank you all for the wonderful words :)
I had an amazing time...although I did get sick for a few days and had to miss Universal & Seaworld, but I look at it as I'll just have to do them next time. Disney World itself was soooo awesome, just loved everything about it.
The flying was fairly good too. I had 8 flights (4 with United and 4 with Qantas) all up and loved the United service...however all 4 of my Qantas flights were delayed. The little plane from Bris to my hometown was probably the worst coming home since I had to fly through a thunderstorm with lightning but am so proud of myself for handling it well (after flying for over 24hrs I was just ready to get home lol)
Ohh and while I was in Orlando I was 'lucky' enough to experience their record lows in temperature lol And boy am I feeling the heat now I'm home.

Welcome back Snickals. Sorry to see that you weren't feeling well but I hope the rest of your trip went well.

Enjoy the heat....and the rain!

Looking forward to the start of your TR! popcorn::

Welcome back. Im glad you had a great time. Hoping to hear more about your trip....... :rolleyes1
