My wife and I leave for a Food and Wine celebration on October 24th.

Is it just me, or do others also feel that this weird window of waiting exists?

At eight months out, your trip is "planned" to the extent that it exists, but not much more, maybe some ADR's. As time passes, you periodicaly are reminded things are getting closer, but really, it isn't in the front of your mind.

Some fun things happen around six weeks out, you might go back to your original plan (yes, my wife does a detailed spreadsheet) and update Park Hours. You might realize, based on new information around a "Nighttime Spectacular" that the thought of Epcot/Studios on Wednesday isn't go to work anymore, so you juggle Park days on the plan.

Some nights you just open the MagicBand box and stare at those little beauties and think.

And then, here comes the foggy window.

Three weeks until Disney is too long! You can taste it, you know it is tantilizingly right there, you've even gotten your DME bar code and luggage tags, but.....it is three whole weeks away!

On the coin's flip side (The Castle is heads, Donald is tails) the next couple of weekends are packed with stuff to do, extra "work work" to get done, and that gnawing stress at the top of your neck that says, "I'll never get everything finished."

So, it is suddenly too soon, yet concurrently, too far.

Is it just me?
