Grrrr had just pressed post when the internet connection went off and I lost the whole TR..........anyho here I go again
As we were heading to the Studios today we decided to have a lie in and late breakfast.Lots more school parties at breakfast this morning. We filled our bellies with croissants and pain au chocolate ready for the morning ahead.
We got to the Studios at 10am
and headed straight to Crush to see what the queue length was like. But alas Crush was suffering from technical problems and the CM did not know whther it would be open today ot not.
So we walked off to TSPL, this was a new land for us
I think it is a well themed land and when the bamboo grows a bit taller you really will feel like you are in Andys yard.
The closure timetable before we left said that Slinky Dog would be closed until 10th but it was open and the queue was a walk on so he jumped on.Mac didn't think much of this ride but J enjoyed it.
We checked out the queue for Army Men Drop.....this was at 10.10am
We decided to come back later
Jacob got his piccie taken with Rex
and we visited the Parisian Street I explained to them all about Gusteau's head being covered up and this was the area the new Ratatouille ride would be in......Ahhhh the knowledge the DIS board gives you
We next went to our favourite ride in the Studios RnRC.Mac adores this ride he rode it 7 times in arow when he was only 6 years old.For Jacob this would be his first time as he has never been tall enough and as he is not a thrill seeker like his big brother I was worried that he would be scared. We tried our best to explain to him what the ride was like. After the ride when we docked I looked behind at him and he was slightly paler than when we went on but he said he enjoyed it ....I was not completly sure.
Time for Cinemagic I made sure we go to sit in the middle of the first 5 rows to get the full effects. The last time we saw this show was 4 years ago and J couldn't remember it.We all throughly enjoyed it.
We went on Cars and Flying Carpets and then picked up FP for TOT
Whilst waiting for our time we went to Blockbuster Cafe for a quick munch review here
Then it was time for my nightmare TOT.
The last time I did this ride I absolutely hated it but Mac loves it and this was the first time J would get on it so I had to be very brave. We watched the introduction in the library then went to queue for the lift. J began to get quite scared so I bribed him with a TOT Stitch if he went on.....bad Mummy.
This time I loved it , it was much better second time around but the same cannot be said for my youngest son.He was petrified when the lift doors opened at the end he was out like a shot frightened that we would go up again. He was rewarded for his bravery with a TOT Stitch
His face when I said we would go on again
We decided to give Stars and Cars a miss...the three boys were delighted....to go and see if the queues in TSPL were any less.We got to Army Men Drop and it said 15mins so we started to queue but it was more like 30mins
What a slow loading ride, they really should have made 4 riders in each side and no one knows how to push the button to open their belt.It had a lovely view from the top but I would not be rush back to do it again.
Next RC Racer it was a walk on and what a ride it is.This has now overtaken RnRC as Macs favourite ride in the studio. We loved it but those few seconds when you are held at the top before coming back down is rather hair raising
Mac and Me 2 rows from the back on the right hand side
We went off to see Animagic and then went to see Stitch.I was Stitch's best monkey which I didn't live down for the rest of the day.
We went back for a last few rides on RnRC a it was a walk on straight to the car but just as J sat down he said to his Daddy that he didn't want to do it and Rod and him had to leave.I think that TOT had completely freaked my poor wee son out .So we told him what a brave boy he was for deciding to leave .The other two went back on and J got his piccie on the Narnia throne
I got my picture under the umbrella
We now had to leave the Studios to head to Annettes for dinner....review here
follow as we were heading off into Paris on our nighttime trip
Coming up ......the night coach trip to Paris
