The things you find out when doing the laundry

I washed and dried a SD card... oddly enough, it still works. I did, immediately back it up after seeing if it would even read. I figured I will just keep using it as long as it is working.

When DH and I were dating we worked at a theme park and wore the same colored pants. He lived a few mins away from the park so after work I would go to his house, change and shower and we would then go out. My pants got mixed up with his once and his mom washed my birth control pills :scared1:

I forgot to check my youngest's pockets before I washed his jeans today. Took me quite a while to fish all the coffee beans from the bottom of the washer. :confused3

Aww that is sweet...a lot sweeter than the text I found in my 14 year old son's phone from a girl who liked him. She wanted to hold more than his hand. :scared1:

:scared1: That's scary!

I didn't want to be a Debbie Downer, but yes, I thought it was sweet that she wanted to hold his hand. So innocent. The OP is lucky.

Now, the fourteen year olds I've come in contact with.. :sad2: I don't even want to think about it.

My husband leaves his pens, and conveniently his To- Do list in his pants pockets. One day I forgot to check them and when the laundry finished drying, I was the proud owner of a new load of ink washed clothing:mad:

It also stained the dryer:headache:

Now, I wash his clothes separately, if he doesn't bother to check, neither do I:rolleyes1 Needless to say that he started catching on after having to repurchase multiple clothing items:lmao:

The only thing I've found in ds's pocket that a girl gave him, was a snakeskin when he was 8! Now that he's almost 16, I'm afraid to do the laundry after this thread.

I've found change, pens (with caps on), chocolate candy, wrappers, receipts, our credit cards/debit cards, and flashdrives (which by the way still work). Never cell phones as DH always has is on him or on the charger and mine is always in my pocket or on my nightstand at night.

The biggest culprit is from DS8. He takes a wad of facial tissues at school and sticks them in his pants pockets. One day I forgot to check his pockets first and found the washer filled with tissues all around the drum and the lint catch in the dryer coated with them as well after drying those clothes. It took about two loads of using the dryer to get the rest of it out :headache:
