Laughing at myself...

Some of you may have seen my thread, "cinderella scandal!" in which i posted that i was extremely upset that in order to eat at Cinderella's Royal Table, one must put down a credit card just to hold the reservation, and I had been told that it must be a card belonging to a member of the eating party that night, so I couldn't put down my mother's card, whcih was my intention in the first place. I was asking for help as to any ways for me to get around this and my only solution was to go out and get myself a credit card-easier said than done in most cases since i have no credit history i have already been turned down by visa for the disney rewards card! But my bank has Visa check cards attached to their debits so i got lucky and was of course instantly apporved for that.

I made a reservation with my mom's card and the phone operator that helped me said i could transfer it to my new card as soon as i got it (since these reservations go quickly i did not want to miss the chance!).

Today I called to transfer it and the woman on the phone informed me that not only is it not possible to transfer what card it is held under, but also that I didn't need to anyways! It is OK to use Mom's card since we are not pre-PAYing for the reservation, but rather we are just HOLDing it (we have the dining plan)...

I just have to laugh at myself for how distrought I was over this and how I had been telling myself I needed a debit card for months upon months already and all it took was my vacation plans being in jeopardy for me to run to the bank in an instant and get one... only to find I don't actually need it !

Has anyone ever done something this 'desperate' in homage to the mouse only to laugh at themselves later???
