"The Tapestry of Dreams Parade" to end March 1,03

Just FYI-
"The 100 years of Magic Celebration" along with "The Tapestry of Dreams Parade" at Epcot that will also come to a close March 1.

We are crushed to see Tapestry end! We got rained out in Dec and were hoping to catch it the next time we are there.

I don't know any specifics about this, but I read that the next 'celebration' to start in the fall is going to be called "Magical Reunions"..... wonder what it's all about!

I'll miss it as well. My 4 yo DS loved it a few weeks ago, we saw it 3 times! We have the millenium CD and every time we hear it he says "Mom, that's the parade music!" It was a nice change of pace from the rest of the Disney parades, I hope they come out with something just as good. This was our 3rd year seeing it, so it's more than time for Disney to change it. Honestly, I'm surprised they waited this long to do it.

In February when we were there I did hear a few people complain about the parade, though. I guess for someone who's never seen it or heard about it they would be surprised to see it's not like MGM or MK parades.

I recall reading last year (end of 2002) that the TNParade who be ending this year and may be replaced with a defunct parade from Disneyland. I don't remember much about the exact Disneyland parade. The plan was to recycle the Disneyland Parade and add it in Epcot hoping it success would be better in FL.

This was our 3rd year seeing it, so it's more than time for Disney to change it. Honestly, I'm surprised they waited this long to do it.

I'm sure that a parade of this sort is very costly to mount and that is part of the reason they kept it this long. I, for one, am sad to see it go...I thought it was wonderful and hoped to see it again this year.

We saw this parade in 2001 when DS was 2. Do you know that he still talks about the puppets and the big drum.

We were so looking forward to seeing it again this May. We are so sad to see it go.

The worst part - the only video tape we've lost from our trip was the one with TOD on it.

We love this parade! Its nice to have a "different" parade. The other parks have the character parades and I hope EPCOt doesnt switch to something like that.

I hate to see it go, it never failed to get me in the spirit, we would try and see the parade an average of 6 times a visit. My daughter loved the human puppets and getting them to touch her hands, glad we have a lot of video tapes of it. We will miss it a lot.

I finally got to see ToD this trip, knowing it was going away in a few weeks.

I'd been saying to DH all week that I HAD to see it, because I love the music from it. Older son was punished with a day in the room, and younger son and I headed over to the WS for Impressions de France (my favorite movie) and parked ourselves right outside the gate the perfomers come out. I got some awesome pictures and 3 yo recognized the music. He loved it, too.

I'd known for over a month that it was going, so I was the nut in WDW telling lots of people to go see the parade before it goes away. Glad I spread the info, because it was so different....seeing the performers faces was great. I couldn't help but sing along!

I really loved that parade ! Saw it in 2000 and again 2002 - liked the 2nd one even better! I hope they replace it with something in the same "artsy" vein instead of with another character parade.

I've never seen the Tapestry of Dreams parade. The pictures I've seen of it are awesome.

According to what I hear from my son who works in Epcot as an intern, it is gone and no replacement is being planned. Too bad, I loved that parade.

Did you know the Illuminations cd also contains the music from the parade? It is the cd that is played most in our van!

The only copy of the CD I found on Amaz**.com was for $49.95 that someone was selling second-hand (but said it was still new and sealed). If you want a copy, maybe WDW merchandising still has one from this or last year.
