Has anyone here ever had the sex talk with there parents. I havent had it yet and I dont think I will untill I have a boyfriend but I was wondering

-what age did they have the talk
-why did they give it to you
-how "bad" was it

I just ended up learning everything through school/friends/health class. Lol.

And I um....asked about it. Looking back on it now, its quite embarrassing.

And it wasnt bad. I was young and innocent. I really dont remember the actual conversation

But I can still see my parents giving me a speech on waiting untill marriage and all that stuff

I didn't even know what sex was until like, right before Aunt Flo came to visit for the first time.

My friends always thought I was 'too innocent' to tell, so I had no idea until one day my mom called me into her room for 'the talk'. I was utterly clueless- and then after she explained everything to me I was just like

Mother: *nods*
Me: D: "That's just....gross."
Mother: ROFL

Yup. I was only a slight bit disturbed.

I dont remember when I finally realized what sex was but I remember being little and thinking kissing was having sex and thats how you got pregnant. I used to always think I could get pregnant by kissing my dad

My mom got me a book when I was little... Idk how old- 6? 10? haha no conception of what age I was. But I remember thinking... why did she get this for me? I already know all this stuff...

I learned most of it in school. My mom filled in the holes with questions I asked, but she made sure I knew everything at my age that I could comprehend.

Now, I missed 9th grade sex ed.
Yeah, that wasn't helpful. I hear stuff from friends and I'm APPALLED, but apparently they talked about some of it in sex ed.
