The Tagliarchy Mansion

OK guys these birthing stories are scaring me!!
This is why I don't have kids!!!!

Ewwww. Stripping membranes? That's a new one to me.

Okay, gotta go make some dinner! DH better get home in time to pick up Hunter from church school at 5:30, then we have to eat at lightening speed, and I have to get him to basketball by 6:00. DH has drum lessons at 6:30 (Shhhh, I think he's going through a midlife crisis. )

switching back to the other topic..Lewski709 lives closest to me... probably about 3 hours ..

another WARNING, HuggaBaloo!

When I was pregnant with my third, my office hired a temp to take my place and I started training her 3 weeks before I was due. The second day she was there, I had a Doc appt. and I told him, "go ahead and put me in labor ... I can't stand the girl I have to train to take my place." Famous last words... he said he was going to "massage my membranes" and if I was ready to go into labor that would start it. That doesn't sound very threatening, does it? Well, was I a fool. Whatever he did down there hurt like Hades! I told him I had changed my mind, but it was toooo late. I went over to the hospital to be monitored, and had an 8 lb 1 oz baby girl 75 minutes later!!!

NEVER let them massage your membranes, unless you are fond of intense, excrutiating pain.

(the knitting needle/sac(sack) thing never hurt that bad!)

:teeth:

My goodness! I can't tell you how thankful my labor with Ashy was short and relatively easy. I was in labor 14 hours and pushed 15 minutes. They had to break my water, but at that point, they couldn't even give me a catheter, she was so far out. She had her cord in her hand and kept squeezing it, so the doctor threatened to use the salad spoons on me and I was basically like...NO WAY are you getting with 10 feet of me with those! and out popped Ashy!

But, being in a military hospital, they don't really care too much about your privacy, I guess, cus they had my lower end facing the door and they left it propped open more then not, so I'm not too shy anymore! :)

Amen sister. All but one of mine were born in military hospitals and there is no privacy. In fact, it is always training day for me!!! I remember having the custodian clean the room while in intense labor. Oh well.

Okay, Cheeringmom,

You win the MHLSIEHIMWL Award (Most Horrible Labor Story I've Ever Heard In My Whole Life).

Eeewwwww... I'm blushing for you now.

Danauk - don't let this stuff scare ya! Think of how many people never discuss their birthing stories because they are just blah! boring... I'd go through it all again to have my kids (who drive me nuts half the time!)

hee hee

Okay all, I gotta go cook dinner. It's steak and potatoes tonight. I'll be back in the Mansion later to get my chocolate fix. I belong to W.I.S.H.E.S, so please don't tell them that I will mainlining chocolate syrup with y'all every night. Hey, wait, isn't choc. syrup non-fat??? :teeth:

Will we be discussing American Idol later???

:wave2: Kim

p.s. How do we know who lives closest to us? Is there a Tagliarchy location list?

OK, Can I make a comment...

Um, I don't mean to sound like the complete and utter wimp that I am, but maybe we should tone down the birthing stories a bit; the Dis Gods may get a little anxious.....

Oh, and I think Speed Weasel lives closer to us than Mad4Mickey, but he hasn't been here in a while...

:bounce:

And remember, if the locks get changed on us, check the Color wheel for the new home. We may have to change our name to protect the not-so innocent.....Also, Nephosaurus will have to break back in to get his Chocolate Stash.

TAG FAIRY,
Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!

I have no idea who lives closest to me...We need a map with little pinpoints of where everyone lives! I'm in So. Cal., 45 minutes north of Santa Barbara. :)

And it's 77 degrees and sunny today...Yesterday it was 85! It needs to always be 85!

OMG, Kismetdreams, look at your countdown... 10 more days!!!!!!!!!

Don't forget to have a Mickey Bar for Tigger Fans!, wherever she may be hiding...

OK, Tigger Fans! has been gone since Valentines day. Anybody know her info to call her?

:bounce:

OOH I figured it out! DUH!! Thanks OF. And, no, I do not have her info. I wish I would have gotten it when we talked. But its just not something you ask on line. Hopefully She'll have a box full of pms and come back for a visit.

Hmm , i need to make something for dinner....

what are you making???

I vote for a little dinner and a BIG CHOCOLATE DESSERT ..

I think that warm chocolate fudge cake, with chocolate ice cream and then hot fudge sauce and chocolate sprinkles... would be good..

okay forget dinner , let's just head into the CHOCOLATE>>>>

OOhh big chocolate dessert, sounds yummy, but not good for the diet.

Oh well its bed time over here, so I post again tomorrow (after reading another 7 pages again no doubt!!)
:wave2:

Come on now Ohana, these are life stories and nobody is using any foul terms. But, if it's bothering you, we can stop. But first I must declare our winner!

Ding!Ding!Ding!
Congratulations Cheeringmom!!!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_1_28.gif' border=0></a>

That is by far the worse (best) birthing story I have ever heard. And you told it so clearly, I got a very good mental picture of what it must have looked like.;)

Yep, I have to agree....We have a winner....Cheeringmom, hands down!

iluvtink, where in Ohio are you? I would assume Laura is closest to you. I assume she is in Columbus (her location says "home of the buckeyes"), but I am not sure. My whole family is from Toledo. Other than my mom, dad & brothers, just about everyone in my family (both sides) is still living in Toledo or the south part of Michigan.

I'll check in after American Idol.

Have a great night everyone!
