I would also like to share that I have successfully avoided doing ANY housework yet this weekend. (OK, I did do the dishes ONCE)


I am in the process of developing a theory regarding female hormones and housework.


I also have successfully avoided any exercise.....this is not good, however, so perhaps I will walk to a restaurant for lunch. (You see, there is no food in the house either.)


Has anyone stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter? I realize that it would have been before the recent remodeling. There's a chance I may be FORCED to go there !

We stayed at Dixie landings in '98, probably too long ago to be of any assistance..
we like the food court.. the rooms were clean, 2 dble beds.. the basics..

All this talk of food reminded me of a job I needed to do today. I just phoned the California Grill at DLP to book a table for our trip next month A combination of the CM's excellent English and a bit of my French that I learned in school got a table reserved for the night of my friends birthday when we are there.

I hope you guys don't throw your food when you are at WDW!!

Have the house elves started to clean up yet? This place is looking a bit messy.

It's OFFICIAL. April trip has been moved from California to Florida!
Port Orleans French Quarter for five nights starting 4/18!!!!
The southern Calif hotels were so pricey we were able to get air fare and 5 nights with a KILLER rate of $90 for the same 'budget'

Looks like I don't have to wait till Oct for a zebra dome!

OK, gotta run, walking to lunch as training for my trip. Walking, eating, walking, eating, walking, eating...you know the routine!

You need to talk to Barb and Rick, I believe they are both experts on that place. I've stayed at the other side which was called Dixie Landings at the time. Quaint.

Well, DH and I did not fall in love over beers, I mean, really, I was like 15 years old and everything. Anyway, I can't swallow beer. Hmmmmmm, should've listed that when we were talking about stuff we can't do. It gets stuck in my throat. Weird, I know. I don't drink at all usually. Makes me sleepy. Plus, we don't drink in front of the kids and we're always with the kids.

We've been to Lowe's today. Whoopie. DH needs a project, he almost cut a hole in the wall today, I saw him just in time. I think we are going to start building a storage building. That should keep him busy for a few hours.

I'm looking for ideas for the kitchen, I want to change the colors to something brighter and cheerier (word?). I'm off to the wallpaper website.

Ohana tell RRBB we miss her bunches and can't wait to hear about her trip. Hey, have the DVD burners come down enough for me to start looking for one? Tra-la-la. I love POFQ! Tra-la-la.

Okay, so I haven't been there in a million years, but how much could it change? I love the piped in music, and they have the best pool with a serpent's tongue as the slide. Wheeeeeee!

And it's not as big as CBR or CSR or the old Dixie Landings, so it's easy to get around. And I'm pretty sure they have a boat that runs to DD.

I'm making a nice winter Sunday dinner of roast beef, mashed potatoes and butternut squash. Oh, and I've got some baby portobello's that I need to cook up too before they go bad. Oh and a bottle of (red) zinfandel that needs to be used up too.

Oh, and you can be sure that I'll be bringing in the leftover potatoes and squash for my heavy artillery.

So did everyone have a good weekend? Today was quite boring for me. I got my work done for school next week, did the washing and the washing up. Now I am sitting and watching TV before going to bed. At least I got our reservations for the California Grill sorted at DLP

She's Back...You would have all rolled your eyes at me waiting by the baggage claim. I had the saddest face, one of the baggage people actually came over to chat with me (evidently they thought I lost a bag). Well I commented about them having a thankless job; (I have been watching Airline). They told me that that show is all real, and they get worse stuff than that. They girl told me that I would be surprised as to the number of swear words that gets yelled at them in a crowded room.

At any rate, She arrived, and we made an utter spectacle or ourselves kissing. Did I mention how much I love her? She told me about CKU, and she has lots of stuff to post.

I have never stayed at POFQ, but the manager from our Disney store (from a few years back) stayed there a couple of years ago just after the name change, and she absolutely loved it.

[COLOR=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/COLOR], Best Buy had one for $129 with a $25 rebate, Is $104 cheap enough? Now you will have to install it yourself.....I got one for DW.

I was upset, I went back to the store to buy the DVD Recorder for $399, and #1, the sign was wrong yesterday (it only records in 1 format) and they took it off Sale ($429) I decided to wait.

Nephosaurus, OK, you have to help Alice and Dobby Clean up. Here, I'll help by wiping down the bar...What ever happened to Colin?

I'm not coming out until the fight is over! There is no way I'm getting potatoes, Hamentashen, or anything else in my hair. I just colored it.
Boy has it been a busy day at the house I stay at when I'm not staying here. Neither of the boys wanted to go to church of course. Both cats decided they wanted rid of their hairballs within 5 minutes of each other. I haven't had time to lurk so I get on real quick and discover what? Scintillating conversations? No. More talk on peripherals for the computer? No. It's a Food Fight! I haven't seen one of those since 9th grade. Ewwww! I hate squishy stuff. Especially on me!
Anywho, no one come near me... I've got a bowl of fruit salad and I'm not afraid to use it!

Deadheadbelle Not yet. We've toned down our vacations and are putting off DVC so we'll have enough money to renew our vows on our 15th anniversary. (Oh Boy, only 2 more years) My goal is to get the big guy to decide on land or sea. Then I can get started. I've checked out [COLOR=CC00CC]Kismetdreams[/COLOR] site so I've got some great contacts to start me off. (Ok Ok enough rambling- I'm gonna go hide behind my protective barrier now)

I'm off to my dog sitting job, so no computer for me. I'll take my calligraphy stuff with me and do lots of practicing instead. I'll try and pop on at work (lunch or afterwork) and check in with you all. IM SO EXCITED ABOUT MY APRIL TRIP! I'll trade in the one day left on my park hopper and get an annual pass. That will cover me for THREE trips (April/Oct/Jan). "CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS what an abundance of riches!" OK kids, what book/movie is that from?
