The Tag Fairy

Dr. didn't mention a correlation, but my DS did have it when he was 14. At that time he was really sick, took a long time to recover, seemed to sleep all the time. I recall there was concern about his spleen too (can't remember exactly). He's had quite a few odd thing happen to him:

*@ little league game holding a chain-link fence that was hit by lightning - no permanent damage except altered brain waves LOL;

*hit from behind while riding bike by hit-n-run driver (was found unconcious with mangled bike in street by passer-by);

*passenger in car that rolled over several times (nothing like that call from the hospital, that your child's been transported);

*worst - hit during a football game & temporarily paralyzed for a few hours (think I aged 10 years in 3 hours).

Truly worry for him - told him he's running out of his 9 lives, not sure if he's accident prone or not; but I think he's lucky.

Gosh, I have learned that boys are pretty rough and tumble but you guys have had some REAL experiences!! It's a wonder they survive to adulthood, isn't it??

mtblujeans, thanks for asking about kitty.
this was the first day she has been able to support herself and stand.

took her to the vet friday as i mentioned and they kept her until evening time. took her back on saturday morning and monday afternoon and yesterday evening.

she received steriods and now she is on another med which with the combinations for the last 5.5 days, has improved. such a relief............

i have lost sleep over this until last night. yesterday the vet said she thinks baby can improve and have movement once the muscles strengthen.
and this morning she has gotten better.

hope you all and your familes have a great turkey day tomorrow.

we don't go anywhere and no one comes to our house. no family close by so i cook for the 5 of us and really enjoy it.

I don't know!! I saw one on one of the kids' posts on the CB and I clicked on it and it took me to a site to get one. I am very curious about what is going to pop out of there pretty soon!!

I am so sorry about your poor kitty! This sounds awful but a few years back, one of the boys was helping DH drive the pickup truck through the hay field and we had an older kitten that was laying in the shade of the tire. She didn't know to move and got run over! I really favored that silly cat and I practically went nuts at how badly she got hurt....I surprised even myself at how emotional I got. She broke her pelvis and we took her to the vet to find that all we could do was keep her quiet for a few weeks until her tiny bones healed. DH said he could not believe how much he paid for a barn cat vet bill but he also knew I really cared about her. Our pets really can pull at our hearts!! I am glad to hear she will be getting better!!

My DD and her family moved a couple of hours away last year and she has to work the day after T-Day so no one is coming to our house tomorrow, either. I have been messing around and I am not ready for tomorrow (food-wise) so it is just as well that we will be laying around in our PJs all day!

Still digging my way out of the turkey carcasses...poor DH was sick w/a bug (of course, after he got a flu shot), hectic - but nice day. Hope you all had the same.

Debating whether to brave the early Black Friday crowds. Since it's now only 15 degrees, I think I'll forgo my usual standing in line @ 5:00 a.m. & head out once the big boxes open their doors.

Middle son is boo-hooing for an XBox 360, people were waiting in line @ 11:00 a.m. for the honor of purchasing one @ midnight in local stores past Tuesday. I'm sticking to my guns on this one (insist he cough up half). I'm a mean one - Keisha Grinch.

macraven, glad to hear that kitty's on the mend...it's so traumatic when our pets are ill; I'm sure all will be well.

No, I didn't change anything...everything was all Christmassy when I signed in this morning! Maybe the TAG FAIRIES are playing a funny on me!! I don't quite get how to change the view....something at the bottom of the page???

We ate at about 1:30 and everything was cleaned up and put away by 2:30! Fastest meal I think we've ever had....the older the boys get the faster the eating record! I spent too much time on the 'boards this week so I didn't get pies made until the turkey came out of the oven. Only had 2 pumpkin pies today. I'll make some other pies on Saturday. Thanksgiving is a pie holiday as far as DH is concerned!

Keisha Grinch! I like that one! Hey, was this your DHs first flu shot? I got sick when I got my first flu shot a few years ago. I am still trying to get the boys in for flu shots but I think everybody may be out of them by now....**sigh**

We made the boys pay half for their Game Cube years ago. I don't see anything wrong with that! My boys are just watching the frenzy for right now. They haven't said anything about wanting one....we'll see what happens!

If the Tag Fairy hails from the Orlando area, you might get interest from both genders...read that they have quite a large gay population, in part because of the influx of entertainers in the area (don't flame me - just reporting what I read!). To each their own, don't ask - don't tell.

However, I think the Fairy is neither - more of a Disney Diety I don't care what way she swings, just gimmie a tag.

DH hasn't had a flu shot since the mid-seventies. I got my first last week & was bit by the bug ...dragging around today. If I tried to do a jumping jack my head would probably roll across the floor.

Thanks - crawled out of bed to check my emails (hoped for tags )...managed to debase myself on several new threads in the quest for aforementioned Tag...energy flagging, time to crawl on the couch, knew I shouldn't have got a flu shot! Hope you all stay healthy.
