My dear boy also sprung the fact that he needs a gun bought for police acad...happiness is a warm gun. We're a non-hunting family, and just never felt the need to purchase a weapon for protection (never mind my dogs, beware of the owner LOL).

He tells me that in PA you have to be 21 to own a gun, so I'll have to register it in my name. Fat chance, I smell a bit of a liability issue here. His worthless father can do the honors (last time I checked he wasn't a felon).

Can't understand why @ 19, you're able to be a police officer but not allowed to have a gun. For that matter, plenty of 18 year olds' overseas with guns in their hands right now.

mtblujeans, thank goodness your son seems responsible...most boys his age when presented with such an accommodating young lady, would act like the dogs they can be and join the party...14 = babies having babies.

As you can tell by the glaring hole under my avatar, I haven't been graced with a tag yet.

The Tag Fairy patrols this board and, when the spirit moves her/him/it bestows a colorful comment...that most wear proudly, like a badge of courage!

Of course, I'm no expert & evidently not provocative, witty or wise enough to garner notice...but I'm not above a healthy pander or grovel to get tagged.
My buds, macraven & mtblujeans are the real experts of this thread (especially since they've got tags - lots of them! - lucky ducks

A TAG FAIRY is some sort of as-yet-to-be-seen urchin that affixes clever, colored sayings under our user names....usually pertaining to something we have previously posted about on the boards! See the words of color under my name in the upper left?

Well, I may not havebeen gifted with any Tags but,

I just found out I got upgraded on my Cruise from a lowly cat. 11 to an awesome cat. 8 (with a view - woooo-hoooo!), off to celebrate it's a magical day in the neighborhood!

my cat had a diabetic seizure and stroke early this morning.
i am spending tonight holding her until i take her back to the vet in the morning.

Checked to verify what category I fall into...must be the tagless turkey. That's ok, I always was the type to cut the tags out of my clothes for comfort.

I could use that Pilgrim @ my house (the turkeys too)...#1 of 3 just went into the oven, pumpkin pies & dinner rolls to follow...the hungry mob will soon appear...the Tag Fairy has an open invite.

My middle son (future dragnet cadet) has been tired lately...finally got to the Dr's - said he has Mono! He works part-time @ KFC, evidently must not be the contagious kind; he was told he could still cook! I'm running behind him with a can of Lysol.

one of my sons when he was 15 had mono. it happened 4 days before christmas break at school. he spent the next 2.5 weeks practically in bed.

he was so zonked out and slept off and on during that time period.
he was better when school started back in january.

boy, was he mad.......he said he lost the entire break from school just sleeping and missed all the fun , and didn't watch any of his important tv shows.

you know where that catagory coomes in when you are 15.........fave tv shows, dvds, video games.............

do hope your son can get the rest and feel better soon.

we were told by the doctor that once a person gets mono they are more suceptable to having it again.
